distorted dreams, released by cold busted, is an instrumental album by swedish beatmaker mac dusty. this beat tape, produced on the mpc3000, is full of bass-driven hip hop instrumentals and is strictly limited to 100 copies

label founder mire composes the debut release on nuthe recordings. hailing from east london he sets the tone for the label with his own vision of techno and experimental music. the first track on the ep is distorted silhouettes a dark pulsating, bass heavy techno cut. sitting on the flipside is entropy this is more melodic, with a twisted analogue synth lead throughout and a pumping 4x4 kick. the final track is a haunting droney soundscape which which cuts like a razor at points and tails off as an outro into whats coming next on the imprint.

the house is invisible at this point and the music turns out the side on an axis. look around, everything seems a bit off .. the colours are distorted but something seems different, it’s as if everything has shifted slightly or moved a few inches to the left. there’s static, i blink and i can see the house again, but it’s not the same. the third release on 0 produced by c3d-e and hashman is disorienting liquid art - warped and provocative, spread again across two full sides.
