men in trees are back with their third ep on its own platform audio parish. this time they take us with a healthy portion of groove to mango city. once there, we meet barfly, this track draws us immediately into its spell with its deep character and hypnotic groove and the insane vocal part in the break. this give us finally the feel we are actually in a smoky bar in the middle of mango city. this is an amazing super warm and rollin piece of house music. alabasta on the flip, with its bright and massive sounds, is a dry forward rolling peak-time-mover. this track is jaunty fun that will get the crowd moving for sure. return to mango city is the next killer release with the typical men in trees-groove, two different house tracks, which will provide a lot of dancefloor action.
ranking records 10th release sees russian producer/vocalist marina faib burst onto the scene with a 12inch that is frankly nothing short of astonishing. for a girl born in the 1990s, faib shows astounding maturity in her restrained approach to sound and rhythm, employing stuttering drum loops to underlay soundscapes that would put many a hollywood composer out of work. ticking clocks is a spine tingling example of this: the texture of the track comes from a euphoric choral sample which soars over a deep chasm of sub bass energy, climaxing in the perfect placement of a slithering arabic reed solo. whisper of trees shows the same mastery of atmosphere and musical arrangement - this time the tune is built from blissed out vocal lines, warm synth pads and a pulsating low end.
played by ricardo villalobos, âme, nick curly, cassy, karotte, agnès, tobi neumann, sebo k + debug charts #4 the white label presents itself with an assured sense.
support by dave clarke, cari lekebusch, laurent garnier, john selway, anderson noise, bryan zentz,.. actually joey beltram needs no introduction. he is one of the leading international techno heads for a decade who characterized the music with his voluminous tracks that included razorsharp melodic elements. born in 1971 in queens, new york, he started djing at the age of 13 in 1983. since releasing own tracks in 1989 the triumphal procession of his music was sealed. since then he released on labels like transmat, trax, tresor, warp and more. his remix for adam beyers >swedish silver< burned the floors, the releases on r&s are legendary and we are looking forward to the first mix compilation >lost in new york< on harthouse.
the second release of audio parish records comes from men in trees. men in trees is a new producer/dj- duo from germany. they provide us with with percussive and groovy house tunes. the first ep comes as a 2-tracker. >rita cala prada< on the flip starts with a massive groove, with pretty good drums and a crazy dialogue between three spanish people. than the track is growing up with a deep male vocal. >planet calypso< impresses with crunchy percussion and an uplifting bassline. funky horns and jazzy trompets filled this track with a balearic feeling… welcome to planet calypso! this is an ep with two funky tribal tracks that makes you curious.
a side 'into the trees', b side ' are you ready for this?'. here's the deal : 2 sided ep using 80's samples , limited stock, will go like hot cakes...be quick
