arsat is the first argentinian telecom satellite launched into orbit. arsat gets the rocket ready to ignition: a repeated stabs loop manages the take-off with success. on remix duties, up-and-coming argentinian talent julixo delivers a jacking chicago-style interpretation of arsat. with beltran, the rocket starts its launch into space: although fast paced, the track brings some harmonious dubby elements and nice violins in the mix to calm down the expecting crowd: it s all going to be ok. formula ends the e.p. like a celebration of the satellite s geostationnary slot: a hard hitting, percussion driven, techno track where the stabs penetrate deep under your skin. not for the faint hearted!

it s a big honor that the former member and -minister of information- of underground resistance from detroit alan oldham aka dj t-1000 does a remix for this release. living between berlin and detroit, alan is a mastermind in electronic music and has pitched this track to a strong minimal -detroit meets berlin- version. the gunman remix is a more dramatic sub bass story. with snipped parts of the sigrid elliot vocals, a volumized organ and fx sounds, gunman gives you a blast for the dancefloor peak time. simon beeston, a music lover from new zealand who s also living in berlin, does a deep remix. with drums and a nice sub bass, he s showing his style.

our next big release at bad barbie, going out on digital and 12 inch, comes by the hand of aldo cadiz itself, but this time partnered with kareem cali. these two made a fantastic three track ep called monita ep. the first track monita presents a solid base created with a classic tech style and an extremely groovy bass line. full of small arrangements and a crazy vocal line, this tracks its perfect for any club dj. the second track bonita, is the one with the more old school vibe, from the bass line to the main acid synth, which goes evolving softly with a filter during the track to generate the needed tension. all this with a strong tech groove to follow the step of this solid ambience created by the acid synths. the last track moni, also has many techno and acid elements presents. we can perceive the techno soul mainly on the arrangement of the hi-hats and bass line, but the acid synth in triplet at the backend is what generates the crazy vibe and almost hypnotic feeling during the track, playing around with the volume of it. definitely a fantastic release to add to any collection.

st. petersburg resident kito jempere is back on dirt crew with his first full release after his debut album on fata morgana and a great ep on freerange last year. following his great contribution to our deep love series we now welcome him with these two unique tracks. ranging from house to disco and jazz influences, kito found his very own style and switches easily between them. up tempo and energetic tracks with great melodies, driving bass lines and clever sample use.

with u-ton 06 we welcome berlin born and based nitam as a new artist on unterton. his first release as a producer is a collection of tracks that were all created during various recording sessions in the last year – the retold ep immediately gives a clear impression of nitam s versatile production style.

after a stunning three part compilation released in the second half of 2014, dutch label field is back with another album project, this time from american producer christopher ernst, aka l estasi dell oro, who also records as penalune and is co-founder of the voodoo down label. before now, ernst has proved himself to be adept at crafting deep and atmospheric, excellently ambient techno on a range of labels. varying his tempos and textures, he does acid, raw stuff, tough beats and more industrial grooves. across this new 8-track album, all this and more is explored in captivating fashion. this is an expressive and expansive modern techno album from l estasi dell oro that is perfectly at home on the always interesting field label.

repress 2015 ... machines do speak a language understood and appreciated by humans. measured by the success of skudge, an artistic duo that has delivered a lot in a very short time. combining their inspiration and talent through wires and analogue equipment, they seem to always present something new - in a very faithful style. what remains most significant on their output through the main label skudge records, as well as their remix material present on a row of different labels, it must be their exceptional sense of loops and unexpected detail in their productions.

ibiza based artist pepe mateos is a relatively new name to most but has been bubbling away on his home turf, clubbing mecca the white isle for quite some time, releasing since 2011 and running his own flow musique imprint mateos delivers raw and gritty compositions in the realms of house and techno. thought pepe retains a relatively under the radar status, hes managed to garner the attention of nicole moudaber, marco carola and cajmere to name but a few. here we see him launch the hide + seek imprint with more of his infectious groove-led style.
