komisch welcomes another new artist to its fold for its last release of 2011.p.god aka paolo dioguardi hails from naples in italy. still in his 20s, he makes music that belies his youth and neptune iv sounds like the work of a veteran producer. lead track approaching an ocean planet sees grainy, dense beats and hypntoic bleeps take the lead, but hovering above the arrangement, tethered to the reverberated, doubled up claps, are ghostly, eerie chords. the title track adopts a similar approach, with bursts of metallic percussion underscoring spacey pads as p.god drops a droning, tunneling rhythm track. finally, geometric shadows on iced surfaces sees the young producer opt for a deeper approach. this time the chords envelop a purring groove, but the same sense of understated menace is still audible thanks to the austere hats and bleak subsonic bass. capturing jeff millss estoeric side and the hypnotic magic of sleeparchive, neptune iv is a real techno journey!

after several one-off releases/ remixes in the last two years on miscellaneous labels such as hertzklopfen records, debox and 8 bit, in fact one of mannheims top djs returns with a stunning and cunning 8 bit e.p. called >i hear voices<. the vinyl release delivers a vocalistic package of thrilling deephouse with >losing the physics< up to the more percussive and kickin facet of techhouse with the track >tall bold slugger<. well... we suggest this is pretty a little dancefloor monster! the completeness of the e.p. you will find with the third track called >we have to stop< – a hypnotic and straight techhouse tool especially for the moments late after midnight.

after the huge succes of its tenth release (davide squillace & guti), hideout is back with with the third slice of the deconstruction revisited series. this time, crocodile tears, which appeared on davide squillaces tutti frutti ep (ho003) got offered three amazing relectures. it all starts with mr robert dietz (cadenza, cecille ...), who delivers a super modern and energetic relecture, where intelligent synthetic percussions mess around with weird noises and processed effects. after two minutes a monophonic synths starts its battle with vocals from squillaces original to end up on a more minimal groove. gflame aka portugese techno start cisco ferreiras (the advent) relecture directly sets the tone: a nasty bassline with a crazy synth stab flies over a soft but very heavy techno beat, to evolve to an elegant tech house track (no bongos involved). finally sis, the man behind cocolino imprint, reinterpretation starts with a long intro with the kick dropping after more than 3 minutes. the melancholic feeling of the track builds into a very subtile beat with reverbered elements all over. the percussion layers and delicate melodic synths add some organic flavour to the music so the 14 minutes remix is never boring and takes you to a nice journey thru sounds. you can tell somebody was in love when making such a beautiful song. another must have from hideout!
after his succes on mps005, argentinean producer tacito is back for some action on micropunto.another 12inch full of dubby flavours typical of tacitos production, plus an exclusive remix by giorgio gigli (zooloft, prologue) which rounds this release perfectly.this record starts with lession, a dub techno mover that opens nicely this ep with reverberating stabs and percussive loops throughout.leaks brings us to a more mellow and melancolic mood with a break in the middle with nice freezing stabs and mellifluous pads that hypnotize us throughout the track.giorgio giglis remix dont fail to surprise us. with his refined productions he takes the main track and does a stripped down, dubbier version with melodic pads, that gives this track, giorgios special moody imprint.the third track, las flores de fidel, is on a more funky tip with nice percussive sounds while the digital exlusive track hard to sleep, closes this ep elegantly with a mesmerizing composition full of narcotic sounds.
