nice price deal !!! 4/4 bass drive. the second release of the label bomjbar consists of two tracks. it excels the first one in its obsession, efficacy and energy. advanced daddy contains a part of percussion bass, which accompanies the whole composition. a hard skeleton and high-pitch cry run through your body, especially when there is a high sound. hoboken hollow is softer, but only at the first sight. the composition consists of some parts, which mutually complement each other and it is necessary to listen it overall in order to understand it.

MINUS DEGREE

11.08.16
appleblim’s third 12″,,, for tempa touches on the sonic territories explored on his first 12″,,, (the experimental and amorphus ‘wandered’ from tempa101) while expanding on those ideas. the first track ‘minus degree’ is appleblim at his most experimental. a beatless affair of sparse soundscapes and atmospheres. full of tension, and crucially no release, you are swept away by the waves of synths and sub bass. next track ‘move them’ is more traditional appleblim - 4x4 and dub techno chords build a sense of momentum over the space of 7 minutes. a traditionally leaning techno tune with a uk twist, appleblim’s use of space and tension will keep any raver entranced. final track ‘twist it down’ rounds out the ep with a subtle roller. broken drum patterns and bright synths help in stripping away some of the darker undertones prevalent in the previous tracks.
nice price deal !!! afrikanz on marz come correct with their second release for out hear audio. this follows on from their acclaimed first single the road we travel. ashley beedle and darren morris have joined forces with uk rap artist skilf to concoct a psychedelic drum led monster with shades of early warp bleepness, bass funk and headhunter era herbie hancock to come up with something unique and thought provoking. skilf lets loose with gritty lyrics and completes a strong combination. skilf is a brighton based rap/dance artist with a unique and distinctive sound. unfazed by the restrictions of >genre< over the years he has worked with a range of producers. artists from bob dylan, to wu tang clan to the streets have had a big impact on skilfs approach to writing and rapping.
GEMINI PT.1

10.08.16
nice price deal !!! from the beginning, oktored has tried to keep himself away from the pigeonholing nature of the electronic dance scene. seamlessly blending early rave sounds with futuristic beats and melodies, he has really been coming into his own lately. from a young age, he has been into a multitude of different genres of music ranging from ambient to death metal. the next two releases will show just that. the first of which will be the more passive side of oktored.gemini 1 (or the good side) really brings together a feeling of old detroit style techno/house with some new moombahton flavour. the fact that he has been motivated by so many different styles and sounds becomes very apparent on tracks like relax and inéz, while he brings some real deep, future bass styling on the drifter. for fans of future sounds of 8 mile, this release will be a fantastic follow up ep. but that is only one side of our gemini friend. the follow up release, gemini 2 will showcase his darker, more aggressive side. delving into rough, uninhibited bass and beat tracks, oktored will begin to show just how deep his production can go

10.08.16
nice price deal !!! at last! beatboxer, lyricist and singer mark boombastik finally releases his album adios berlin, produced with eduard delgado lopez (bass guitar and more). no more pseudonyms, no frills, but intimacy between sense and nonsense: a grand record. adios berlin is: champagne and unpaid rent. it is: love and hate - it is: a conviction and an absolution of the possibility to be different, to live differently. it is: the mainstream suitability of the peculiar, like cooking without a recipe. it is: tomato stains in a kitchen, scratches on a record, scars on a shin. it is: a swan song and a new beginning. an album like a speech, between accapella and beatbox, punk and rough cut - techno and experiments for a special audience.

some more uncut diamonds by s4aw... robert nedelcu aka lecsicu from rural romania is only 26 but already a skillful and dedicated producer of oldschool-flavoured house music with a tek-edge. on top we ve got vocals by berinika van wyk a singer born in south africa. robert was inspired by guys like rick wade, mr. g, kerri chandler, and of course moodyman. his trademark are strong percussions, little harmonies every now and then and a “tracky” atmo to his tunes that sound very chicago-ish. all three original tunes are pure, vintage-style house music a little on the tech side. so this clearly is an ep for the dancefloor and for early morning sessions when the sun s coming up again... “route to 95” received a groundbreaking rework by detroit house music veteran gari romalis. with incredibly deep subbass sequencies he makes this tune a deep jam like you never heard one befor

a career-spanning retrospective, featuring 28 johnny cash classics. remastered from the original sources and delivered on double 12 inch vinyl.
the music laurent chanal from lyon creates for the 12- format is as playful and fanciful as it is functional and precise. cilou is a sweaty pulverizing tech dub jam. it s sweeping bass riff sways back and forth guaranteeing the essential climax every time. doudz takes us deeper into the frenchman s psyche as it’s deliciously dark, rolling, wonky, and intergalactic. music for clubs & roofless raves.
SAFETY FIRST (JAMES DEXTER REMIX)
12 Inch
08.08.16
timmy ps latest outing on dessous recordings continues the long list of illustrious labels that have been home to his house vision. now based in london, timmy has a string of emphatic releases under his belt, not least on influential imprints such as local talk, extended play, dirt crew and madtech. with safety first, timmys playful approach to the deeper side of house shines though. the title track mixes crisp, crunchy drums with warm, soft pads and a bubbling bass line - a deep rolling cut with plenty of punch for the floor. the fantastically named grim fandango is a little tougher, with the snares and claps snapping tightly over a taut, un-resistible vibe. timmys balance of dynamics is masterful, each element perfectly complimenting each other to create a tour de force over 8 minutes. bosh is similarly crafted - the original echoing classic 90s house but feeling completely fresh for 2016, while james dexters remix is a robust, deep roller. this is house music made with joy and passion.

following 2014’s ‘xure’ ep, dutch producer doka returns to format with a fresh four-track release including a remix by fellow techno luminaries twr72.carved out of no-nonsense techno grooves, the ep is another prima example of format’s trademark: bold, stripped-down techno designed for peak-time clubbing moments. the title track blends in classic detroit synths to powerful tresor-style grooves, after which twr72 give it a playfully experimental makeover. ‘lommer’ throws in a pitch-black cut that’s heavy on the bass while cleverly mixing in progressive house elements, while ‘dam’ closes things by adding a lovely hypnotic twist to this release’s content. there’s no denying: this eighth format release has all the ingredients to ignite some serious floor carnage…

recently appearing on the mighty crosstown rebels with a remix of shaun j. wright & alinka ‘face the truth’, sought after duo audiojack are back serving up a solid two-track release in the form of ‘turya’. turya is built for serious heads down sessions fusing subtle acid pads with soaring synths and sonorous spoken words. the hypnotic quality of the teacher’s words beguiles and entrances the dance floor, allowing people to lose themselves in them and its evolving groove. ‘event horizon’ is a different beast altogether, with a heavy drum and bass vibe, a four-four format, and a classic -amen- break beat style. in 2015 audiojack launched their sunday social free party at veto club in their home of ibiza, which after a strong season will continue this year. their first essential mix recently dropped on radio 1 and a string of highly successful releases and remixes on labels such as hot creations, tsuba, 20/20 vision and their own gruuv has solidified their place in the dance music elite. it’s safe to say that 2016 is proving to be a big year for the talented duo.

THE FINAL THEORY
12 Inch
28.07.16
the excellent field label embarks on a new mini trilogy of eps that will -present a magical journey through modern-day trance.- first up in the series is artefakt with their three track effort the final theory. dutch producers robin koek and nick lapien make up artefakt, and between them they excel at moody voodoo music on labels like delsin. they open this latest ep with the title track, a deep, spacious house roller with subtle pads and gentle acid that perform slow motion acrobatics for nearly ten minutes. it is suspensory, dreamy music that works on the head as well as the heel. moving horizon is then less doleful and introspective but just as deep, with sweeping pads add a sense of scale, busy drums bring the dynamism and icy percussive sounds adding a sense of urgency. last but not least, solaris is a fatter, more physical groove with claps and gloopy bass, acid flashes and trancey pads all fleshing out a lush and deep electro workout. this is heavenly stuff that cannot fail to get inside your head and heart.
FOR A MEMORY

28.07.16
tim green is back with another brace of high impact club tunes of the sort that have made him one of the most in demand producers of the day. whether serving up rolling techno treats for cocoon, essential mixes for the body language series on get physical or laying down compelling club sets in the dj booth, brit tim green is unstoppable right now. here he steps up to the get weird imprint with two more tantalising cuts that show just how broad and brilliant an artist he is. stirring opener ‘for a memory’ is eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. the overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from green. ‘for a distant memory’ is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. in this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out. it is a perfectly trance inducing, heart warming cut that the likes of lee burridge at his all day i dream parties, or various djs playing on a sun kissed terrace around the globe, will all lap right up. these are two more essential tracks from the ever on point tim green.

OF ZENTRUM (REMIXES)
12 Inch
27.07.16
the second of two zentrum spinoffs is with us! as with the first, it comes loaded with four remixes. octo octa, vito & druzzi, cooper saver and turbotito, and lemonade all handed in top-notch reimaginings of tracks off jacques renault s debut lp, which came out just under a year ago, and they all somehow manage to be unique unto themselves while also sublimely bleeding into one another. octo octas rendering of mi casa samba serves as a propulsive beginning thats as dark and druggy as it is sharp and focused. vito & druzzis take on faith runs in a similar vein, but in a more stripped-back, drawn-out, and patient sort of way, it is nearly ten minutes long, so this is perhaps not a surprise. the b s remixes are brighter, sunnier, though that s not to say they re not bold. cooper saver and turbotito s redo of words has a certain funky swing to it that, paired with spacey synths and balearic bells and whistles, makes it ideal daytime disco fodder. the lemonade boys close the ep with their vibey take on faith. pads for days, a plump bass, and a focus on the original s sax make you wonder if the song itself somehow got stoned from a couple extra giant bong rips. a fitting way to end both the 12inch and the summer.

patrick richard is back on romb with a killer ep. parallax starts off with a deep, discoish house banger, built around a firm kick, filtered stabs, arpeggios and lush pads, guaranteed to get the dance floor boiling. gravity meanwhile is a deep and gritty head nodding gem, where the heavy bass and dubby atmosphere creates a relaxed chunk of deep house.the b-side starts off in darker territories with an aggressive stab to be recognized, a driving bass and pulsating pads that create a dusky, blade runner tinted atmosphere.

with the ep mental scapes, alva shows a first short format resolutely house. every track is an evolution, a progress. downtown - with its rhythmic part supported by the disco and deep atmospheres - is reminiscent of the influence of the 90s french house on the duos tracks. the shore is a very deep production with a groovy and a minimal bass, with these incisive hi hats and rides, and this sensual vocal. lighthouse uses several musical registers between techno, soul and ny house. the outro, playground, recorded in one shot, is a short downtempo track to enclose in a groovy way this first ep from the parisian duo.
