iron curtis is a berlin based young producer. his debut release on tensnakes mirau was supported a lot from many djs and deetron picked his track to his mix cd on music man. this his third release contains three unique touch detroitish house tracks. title track of >großreuth 1< is a winner of this ep. it reminds old school detroit house track and simply effective in the club. this track will be useful dj tool for any house and techno djs. >save the night<, >80 g< on the opposite side are little bit more deep house style. i would like to recommend these tracks to the fan of underground quality or that kind of underground house.

james braun is one of the new exciting producers out of denmark, with his strong productions he have earned great respect amongst djs like jesse rose and claude vonstroke. this is the second release from the danish producer on tartelet. the original is, like usually, a combination between solid house, great producing skills and james’ urge for experimenting with genre and sounds. with detroit-ish string theme and bass driven groove the original is fun, intriguing yet powerful. on the b-side tartelet are proud to present a remix by claude vonstroke, who wanted to do it after heavy support of brauns earlier material. the remix features many of the original elements but in updated and very danceable version. label-man tomas barfod shows us his darker sides on his remix. barfod takes symphonia late-night with string pad, dirty drums, spacy synths and deep-bass.

in 2010 desolat continues its one year old x series with m.in: >sing and blow at the same time<. m.in is an young artist from frankfurt area developing his individual music taste by being open-minded towards other genres. his interpretation of house / tech-house is spiced up with jazz, soul and afrobeat elements in order to present a varied and sophisticated blend to his audience and led to numerous well received solo releases and remixes for radio slave and italoboyz amongst others. m.ins house and his versatile beat programming caught our attention a long time ago - and the title track here simply seemed to be tailor-made for loco dice and his sets. >sing and blow at the same time< was probably one of the best kept secrets since last summer and now it’s time to reveal it. this new desolat x will be the first in the series to be available as a digital file as well. its coloured vinyl, with artwork by florian pohl and mastering by enrico mercaldi, will remain a collectors item - great sounding and good looking.

side a: features “depth of my soul” soulful and deep house blend in this down tempo jam. but slower bpms only add style and atmosphere to the track. side b: where is the compassion - the soulful component is still pretty strong yet. it designs a journey through feelings, typical of a warehouse rave. again echoes of a recent past, still very poignant. vibes reveals a more jazzy/boogie ambient. to many ears those vibes shared are not mysterious at all in the origin. still this is a very cool, current adaptation to the dancefloor. massive release!!

more quality house goodness from the guest house crew. this ep features the amenti main man olivier desmet with cohort oriental funk stew for a three track release of typically bummping and jacking grooves. solid dancefloor material here, with took my love working a tight groove over some dubbed out samples and frolicking bassline, with a cool oldschool vocal sample making an appearance here. flip for the bottom heavy pressure and jazzy swing of five plus while in the pocket works some nice key stabs for a deep late night groover. excellent dancefloor material from some of the top names in the underground scene
adultnappers original mix of monitor is a minimalist, atmospheric house outing with warm, evocative piano chords. percussive and synth soundscapes wash over the groove adding a stylish textural dynamic. conversely, mkl vs bgss (members of the group brazillian girls) step onto the scene with a live, organic funkafied jam that steps skillfully through afrobeat and retro disco/funk territory without missing a beat.

played by claude von stroke, timo maas, luciano, livio & roby, mihalis safras, d julz, hosh! after his huge success of the summer that was >trumpets victory< only 19-year old kiddo david august is back on stil vor talent with his second ep: sweden roof. sweden roof is also the title track on this two-track ep that is about the funkiness of house music and the glorious moments of melodies. a cut up vocal sample dominates the groove until we can hear why david august is more than a producer, but a musician after all. the great organ melody will have whole floors swinging along to this monster of musical raffinesse. this sound is like crack, once you try, you want more of it. now! and luckily there is. feeding our addiction on the flip is soul kitchen, an even more organic piece of tech-house-niceness. clap snares, pianos, a deep male vocal sample and equally as much sex appeal as dancing at the carnival in rio. this is soulful house music and it doesnt get any better. these two new tracks show that david august is no one hit wonder. >sweden roof< proves how deeply david seems to be in touch with house music - and the dancefloor.

one of the most in demand tracks from the >technique< album finally gets a full single release complete with re-fixes from prosumer and kruse & nuernberg. ernestos vocal fully lends itself to the prosumer soundsignature, his mix floats and weaves around ernestos vocal, peaking around his own chords before stripping things back to bare essentials and rebuilding like only he can. the kruse& nuernberg mix is hypnotic, percussive old school house music at its best. they take a small snippet of the vocal and build the groove relentlessly until the whole room is shaking. achim brandenburg aka prosumer lives in berlin where he is resident at panorama bar, weaving together the finest blend of soulful house sounds. an expert in classic chicago house and detroit techno, his first release was in 2004 on 240 volts, followed by playhouse and ostgut, where he released his debut album with murat tepeli in 2008. separately, hamburg based florian kruse & nils nûrnberg have created some of the most interesting deep house around in the past few years, with early highlights incl nils >caught a glimpse< on 8bit, and florians >love hurts< release on om records. since then, as solo producers, but more importantly together as kruse & nûrnberg they have climbed closer to the tree-top with their unique brand of mouth-watering underground house.

pattern repeat is a new music-project and label by kenneth christiansen, echocord & echocord colour label boss, and his partner dennis bøg aka resoe, running the baum label. the pattern repeat label will only containsproductions from kenneth & dennis, and the music is focused on the modern berlin techno sound today, dubstep and dub-techno. pattern repeat will also release records on other labels, so far the first one is out on echocordcolour. kenneth and dennis met eachother 8 years ago when they worked together in at that time famous copenhagen-record-shop >loud<, which closed 5 years ago. at that time dennis was more into broken beat, hip-hop anddeep house. kenneth was already running the label echocord, and soon dennis started his label baum. the label baum is also like echocord, releasing dub-techno, and dennis started to release his own material as resoe, andbuilded up his studio the years after.1 year ago we decided to try to do a new project together, working together in the studio, and now pattern repeat is born.
spectrum recordings returns after a lengthy break to bring in the new year with a bang! 2 brand new tracks with the vibes straight of detroit circa 1993, brought up to date in a 2010 style, all courtesy of mat puffett - aka future beat alliance.
>diagram< has already caused a stir with its gruff roaring bassline juxtapositioned against the warm uplifting strings and pads. this is an intelligent and beautiful piece of electronic music, but still has the weight to work on the dancefloor and will appeal to a wide range of house and techno djs.
the flipside >crying sine< is a hypnotic groover surrounded by lush, atmospheric pads and spacey percussion: its also very dj friendly and across the board support is expected.
spectrum have taken a look back to move forward, and manage to sound as current as ever in an ode to the glory days of techno.
