a bunch of bubbling uk deep house players line up on introducing newington, a new label of the same name that is clearly fond of the n16 postcode with vocal house on the menu. ejeca, the irishman earmarked as the next bicep, keeps up his relentless form this year with the opening track robodrum which is a playful shuffling little house number that rotates between stabbing vocal samples and piercing chords. moving south of the irish border, dublin based frank b kills it with trieste a wonderfully warp cut that sounds like it has been recovered from a dust filled dat tape. london types jack fell down take a cleaner, but no less infectious approach on for you whilst midlands type tom flynn rounds it out with the deep and bouncy going on.

terrence parker is a detroit legend and to celebrate this first edition of finally (terrence parker late night dub), in the pure house tradition with shaking bass, glamourous vocals, strings and piano, we decided to asked a remix to the one in france that keeps the houses flag high and strong: manoo. maya jane coles remixer, mixed on panorama bar 04 by nick höppner, signed on such labels as deeply rooted house, real tone record, ... with manoos remix, the vocal has been changed in an hypnotic mantra, synths are like rolling waves and the drum section is like a heartbeat. also two others remixers from the d!fus team lead the track in real different directions: laurent caligaris choosed the love and deep side: nostalgic and beautifull. maxco found the dark side of the deepness, miles away from the original reconstructed on rythmics, ambiance and deep synths.

the deep house is the genre of reference that the author aims to customize in his title track >say what<. it is a ganglion of rhythm and foggy atmospheres where a voice reproduces a sort of rhyme. it is pretty similar to >revenge<, where the loop cyclic effect is preferred to another though, and where the voice (reduced to a sharp tip) pierces the four quarters in place of the snare drum. both tracks are presented in their remixed versions: the first made by julie marghilano and the second by matthew burton.

without trying to making it into a thing in its own right, there is a bit of a coincidence that is appearing for some of our houndstooth artists. following dylan richards chrysalis-like metamorphosis into house of black lanterns, alec storey is the latest artist to shift phase and re-christen his output after signing to our label, progressing from the al tourettes moniker in favour of the more becoming, second storey. whilst his new name might be in homage to the musical path set forth for him by his father, the four-track margosa heights ep sounds very little like anything you have heard from the bristol based producer before.

an entirely new label with fresh artists from any direction. both tracks compiled on this release are deep and spheric in their mood, similar in style, but rather different and special in their shapes of individuality. the a-side delivers a slightly straight and powerful track from alma. carried by soft moog-basses and playful spheric breaks in addition to an authentic summer groove it is definitely suitable to create open-air feeling - a glistening interpretation of a green morning. gebby dibson contributed an emotional and slow house production to the b-side of this release. in so doing, they patterned pretty versatile varieties of electronic styles. in this case its hard to classify, but joyful to listen to� just beautiful.
