unxpozd presents the long awaited 8th release! leading of this project is jazz piece 2, continuing the deep jazz inspired series from aakmael. following is the funky playful string track aakboogie, which makes a dance floor heat up with that 70’s soul sound we love to hear! the journey continues on the flip side with a melodic track called “simply”. the title for this track is perfect for the feel, which is a simply beautiful sound, simply house nostalgia, simply wonderful! lastly for the deeper heads, aakmael finally presents the unreleased version to deep street, naturally called “deep street (deep mix). this is another perfect collection from aakmael for the pure deep house dj and collector, once again with music that will surely satisfy!

federsen returns to fifth interval for another sublime instalment of dance floor friendly dub-techno. dewpoint is an altogether tighter affair when compared to the label s first release, point reyes. the drums are taut and razor-sharp, propelling the listener effortlessly through a dense fog of ferric clouds, swelling to fill the outer-reaches of the echo chamber. a highly polished metallic production style that can be compared to some of andy stott s early and classic works. tomas rubek remixes dewpoint for the b-side, remaining faithful to the original track s structure but viewing it through a tinted lens. dewpoint s chords become iridescent, kick drums fall into a straighter pattern and are backed by further dusty percussion, shifting the original into spheres inhabited by the likes of rod modell and fluxion.

it was the light. that was it. she was trying to remember what brought her to this desolate, godforsaken place. the way the moon and the stars made the shadows dance, it was magic. she slipped into a trance just thinking about it, forgetting at once the decay and the damned all around her. the shadows had fallen still long ago. then the darkness poured in. it had filled her. swallowed her whole. how long had it been now? she couldnt remember. the paper of her hands, the dust in her mouth, she barely noticed. far from any road there was a massive building with a lot of concrete rooms. inside it, a labyrinth path to bid farewell.

limited hand stamped 7 inch, we can t remember the last time we came across a 7- single of straight-up deep house. certainly, it s a novelty, though there s little novel or cheeky about the two tracks showcased on this diddy, coloured vinyl release from spain s minuendo label. 2deepsoul s a-side, -home-, is effortlessly melodious - a warm, rich and enticing blend of shuffling rhythms, swirling chords and the kind of blissfully electronic melodies that make you want to dance with your eyes shut. there s a more organic and quietly soulful feel about owen jay and melchior sultana s flipside effort, -deserted-. blessed with a delicious double bass line, bespoke keys and a whisper of motor city techno (in terms of the electronics, at least), it s a sublime chunk of sensual deepness.

firstep at 12 inches of the dj and producer rene lorenzo on his label celullar memory. seismo ep is composed of three tracks focused on the dance floor. in a side seismo track, the darkest cut, followed by raza, a cooler track with keyboard touches. in b side, a more than 9 minutes track, called evaluate, cheerful, harmonic with repetitive and immersed arpeggios trying to magnetize the mind.

after an a-side debut on m_red ltd’s heady 10’’ series, shadowy outfit overall severity return with their first full outing for key vinyl. much like the slabs of steely sonic wares that have paved the way before it, “knowing the healing” presents three works of on-point dance floor material we’ve come to associate with the underground tastemaker. “explain pain” is the ep’s aggravated opener. a pounding kick and itchy percussion unfurls into a din of claps and noises, spliced with melodious peals and a low-slung sort of groove. “backfiring nerves” is one of those cool peak-time weapons: frantic yet subtle, deeply groovy and plied with much-loved vintage crashes. “parasympathetic” then concludes in the form of a chugging basement bomb awash with bleary acid tones, crystal hats and muted dissonant chimes. all in all, “knowing the healing” marks a powerful entry into the ring from these ones-to-watch newcomers.

the nose of clarity (one + two) is obscure and mystical techno with a hypnotism rhythm construct. part one is coming for the long nights in the clubs and bringing darkness dance moves. part two is more deeper and darker with a slowly trippy and layered loop sound. on the flip side the obsession (from don«t«be on acid ) dwntmpos rework is downtempo sound in perfection. the rhythm is going straight in the head and bring the deepness with a slowly pitched vocal in front of all understanding. the second rework is more dub influenced with warm chords, delays and echos from a other galaxy. the vinyl is hand stamped and numbered and comes with a a4 graphic art print. mastering by xergio c—rdoba at eternal midnight mastering studio madrid, spain

neustadtmusik, with great pleasure, presents two excellent new tracks. dietrich & strolch have created an exquisite, smooth piece of music. the two brothers, who are known for their live sets that take their audience on a journey, have combined their passion for percussions and wicked synth sound perfectly. this track takes you to a deep underground techno dance floor where you find yourself dancing with your eyes closed and drifting away into another dimension, to the ocean, the sun and warm sand between your feet and back. sous sol s track on this release has it all, including a sense of delight that brings out a smile on your face. the rolling bass line brings in mind the siberian express rolling through the cold winter landscape of russia while at the same time there is warmth and the heart gets filled with these warm elements. this rolls parallel to a consistent build up throughout the whole track that makes this composition just perfect.
