a couple of weeks ago some records were delivered into our warehouse in error. i put one of them on the turntable, preparing to ridicule it. how surprised i was then when it turned out to be as good as this. when i tracked down the label owner and asked him for sales notes i was sent the following:

every year hundreds of thousands of dance records are being made and released. with the output from dance producers at an all-time high and with so many records crossing over it takes something a bit special to break-through from underground groover to worldwide mover. 2010 is the year of >sidney samson – riverside (lets go!)< on data records.
the facts above dont lie, this isnt just a dance record, its a dancefloor phenomenon and theres good reason for the comparisons with >day & night< by kid cudi vs. crookers and fedde le grands infamous >put your hands up for detroit<. its got exactly the same appeal and has had exactly the same effect, i.e. unstoppable support and praise from the coolest underground djs all the way up to the global superstar djs and via every european summer holiday resort. sidney samson is a name you simply cannot ignore right now.

in a fresh, light and nippy way mr. russell drums us out of the indian summer into the oriental autumn. pipes of pan prance above this cool arab beat and take a rocking guitar line in between. and because germany becomes extremely cold these days, fenou #9 heats up more pressing than its predecessors and warms us on top with a vocal taken from the arabian nights that crackles in our ears. the flip side shows more deepness and blows over a warm breeze of spanish dance air on the guitar. vocals whisper longingly above the drums, engrossed in thought far away at the seaside. with this record autumnal coldness is long forgotten and expelled.
