From April to October 2011 one single each month will bring on the longest summer Hamburg has ever seen. Featuring fresh, unreleased, single-quality tracks by the Pingipung artists Springintgut, Peter Presto, Hey, AJ Holmes, Goto80, Iso68, and James DinA4. The artwork comes from C.I.Alex (Golden Pudel Club Hamburg). Each release is strictly limited to 200 copies! Two straight bouncers from Andi Otto aka Springintgut open the series. After touring through India last winter, he brought home some antique vinyl records with south indian string music. These have been micro-sampled for the tracks, overdubbed with his own cello playing and a drum machine. Two odes to the animals in Bangalore, the eagles above, and the dogs underneath.
Zwei schöne Bouncer von Andi Otto aka Springintgut eröffnen unsere Single-Serie. Nach seiner Indien Tournee im letzten Winter hatte er diese Tracks im Gepäck, auf denen süd-indische Streicherpatterns von alten LPs gesampelt wurden und auf sein Cello, Bass und Drum-Machines treffen. Elegische Oden an die Tiere in Bangalore sind es geworden, oben Adler, unten Hunde.
"Summer Of Seven" sind sieben 7inch Singles in sieben Monaten, April-Oktober. Denn genau so lang dauert ein Hamburger Sommer. Pingipung Artists geben ihr allerbestes, neu und exklusiv auf diesen streng limitierten Singles. Jede Ausgabe gibt 200 Mal. Das liebevolle Artwork stammt von CIAlex, dem Grafik Genius des Pudel Clubs.
