staub comes back on wax for a third episode. following the no name policy from the parties which started 5 years ago in ://about blank, it is time again for unknown artist to shine. this new ep sees the shy producer appearing on 4 tracks of pristine techno. a1 is an atmospheric trip while a2 is more brutal, on the b side it is going weirder and darker. we think unknown artist tries to craft interesting techno cuts and that he loves variety. that it is the idea behind staub since its beginnings, it does not matter whether you are a newcomer or lady gaga, what matters is the quality of the music. this is what was again aimed with this third record.

intergraded is a new label started by midland to focus on releasing music by new artists, whether unknown, emerging or established but working under a new name. the first release sees body in the thames, peach, jay and webstarr help inaugurate the label. the idea for the label came about after being sent unreleased music and ideas by a number of artists over the last year. as i plan to focus graded on my own midland solo work for the foreseeable future, and with regraded occupying a different aesthetic plane altogether, the logical step was to start a new label that could help introduce this music to a wider audience. harry agius aka midland

following our first release with opal, which aimed at the dance and the bodies, we wanted with this second ep to reach to people�s mind. as a geneva-based techno label, it was fundamental to work with our local hero: opuswerk. he�s already been working outside of the country with artists like francois x and labels such as arts, semantica or dement3d. it was time we involved him in our project. through this ep, opuswerk clearly shows what he knows and does best. much like his dj sets, he connects dots and layers in unexpected ways, like a rhizome connecting different multiplicities. inspiration for the original tracks came from designing systems of independent yet connected sounds, where events are triggered, un-triggered and alter other events, each behaving on their own. as one of those elements, the artist acts as a guide, directing them from one place to the next acting as and with the machines. the -mot d�ordre- is about becoming one of the machines, blending techniques with vibes and catching them like ever escaping dreams. the result is two uniquely sounding spaces, either filled with raw energy like on extensum or with subtle and serene ever-evolving bleeps on spatium. those two extremes are fitting to how we want present the multiple dimensions of our artists works to the world. the same logic went into choosing the remixers, with whom opuswerk had a human connection with. inland and antigone need no introductions, having both established their sound on labels like countercharge or token. each brought their own re-interpretations of the original tracks bringing them closer to the dancefloors.

congratulations to brian �javonntte� garrett, who this year celebrates two decades releasing mind-expanding deep house gold. his first 12&#8243, of 2018 sees him pop up on people of earth, a label that has previously delivered eps from such scene stalwarts as rick wade, patrice scott and kai alce. fittingly, garrett is in a nostalgic mood on opener �way back-, where his deep, dreamy and soul-flecked deep house groove is accompanied by a spoken word vocal reminiscing about the mid 1990s. elsewhere, �zodiac� wraps starbust motifs around a chunky, bass-heavy groove, �house joint� is a bumpin� box jam rich in sturdy drum machine hits and swirling chords, and �boom house� is a slightly tougher workout that boasts beats worthy of derrick carter or dj sneak.

hi, i m guy incognito from london, england, and this is my first vinyl release called feelings. there are two songs on it, feelings and nothing else to say. both songs are based on dreams i had about someone that i wanted to write a soundtrack for. i remembered the dreams so vividly that when i sat down to write the music it all came together really quickly. thanks to ooukfunkyoo for supporting the video i made for feelings. it allowed me to put together this vinyl for release in january 2018. i hope you like them! love, guy xxx

interchain are eugene gorbunov and andrew lee, an electronic duo from moscow that finds equal inspiration in techno culture, punk music and russian industrial landscapes. plenum is an album composed of a series of sketches based on eugene s and andrew s childhood memories about perestroika in the ussr.

neil landstrumm and tobias schmidt are two men responsible for modern day electronic music. when the sound crawled out of the primordial speaker, this pair were there to welcome it. for more than twenty years the two have worked together as sugar experiment station and arrive on shipwrec for their first collaboration in eight years. this is a 12- born in burning furnaces of bass. moulded in those low frequency fires, smelted in the thumping heat, are beats, beats hardened like steel before being shaped into lancing points. with these tools of rhythmic brimstone ses goes about destroying dancefloors before reinventing them. chords are rolled in gravel, doused in distortion and rinsed in static. a style forged from the friction of pistons, the sweat of the assembly line, before being dipped in a searing liquor of circuitboards and molten microchips. ses - sugar experiment station - shattering every stereotype.

for the past 15 years the tanzanian megalopolis of dar es salaam has had one of the most exciting underground electronic music scenes in east africa. a constellation of micro-scenes from mchiriku, sebene and segere all the way to its latest mutation of singeli that finally after years of lurking in the underground has exploded into the mainstream and taken over bongo flava as the music of choice amongst tanzania s youth. born in the sprawling working class neighborhoods of tandale and manzese, singeli s signature sound consists of fast paced frantic loops interlocking with each other, with influences from zanzibars tarab music all the way to south african afro-house coupled with mc s who often spit satirical lyrics about the challenges facing tanzania s youth, from police corruption to the complications of dating girls when you are broke. if there is one studio that stands out amongst the hundreds that dot dar es salaam s musical landscape it is sisso records. centered around producers, bwax, sisso, bampa pana and yung keyz morento and mc s dogo niga and makavelli, they were early pioneers of the singeli sound. whilst some singeli artists have begun fusing their music with more traditional tanzanian hip hop, sisso have remained uncompromising in their sound, always raw, fast with a punk diy aesthetic that can at times verge on noise and gabber, to produce a spell binding music that is like no other sound system culture in the region.

with an enviable private collection of synthesisers amassed during his travels to the us in the early 1970�s and shipped home to tel aviv (where he was an established kinetic artist, as well as a professor of both philosophy and art) ami�s main focus was the desire to combine his love of electronic music acts such as tangerine dream, philip glass and new synthesiser technology, with his interest in the relatively new technique of biofeedback - a process in which technology was used to relay information about the body�s functions in order to enable a change of physiological activity.

this forgotten album is arguably one of the five best albums in the cash discography. it is fueled by superb original cash songs and well executed covers. it contains �see ruby fall� (co-written with roy orbison) and one of his best 70s hits, �blistered�. the lean, minimalist instrumentation of the tennessee three ensures the album with great rhythm, leaving johnny cash�s voice as affective as ever. the album itself reached no. 1 on the country charts and no. 6 on the pop charts.

just as magnified record grooves reveal dust constellations and lunar landscapes, so too does godblesscomputers� third album. �solchi� is a deep search into previous moments in lorenzo nada�s lifetime, influenced by the presence and power of music. his process began with the recovery of some old cassettes, mixtapes nearly forgotten, audio recording of voices from his childhood, and lots of dusty jazz, soul, and hip-hop records. as the starting point of this travel merge with its end, past and present combine to form gbc�s current sound. warm electronic production rooted by grooving bass lines form the core of a kaleidoscope of sixteen tracks, colored by synthesizers, guitar echoes, scratches, samples, fading voices and kalimba. the album is a collection of sixteen stories, sixteen soundscapes, each of them gbc�s tribute to the path taken thus far, an homage to his love for music. the recording and studio work took place over a year, with the adding and subtracting of many elements. for this project, gbc invited several musicians into his home studio, both old friends and new. they helped to recreate the sounds of the original recovered recording, as well as add fresh ideas to the project.

mandala trax aka shingo suwa and dj mori is releasing a first ep on merkur schallplatten. shingo has established the label in 2008. dj mori is working as resident dj at suicide circus berlin. they often performed at many clubs in the city. their first collaboration includes two different versions of rave influenced techno remixes by anna bolena. anna is music producer, promoter and video maker, she is an underground activist since the 80 s. she runs the label idroscalo dischi since 1999 and since 2005 the video production company idroscalo digitale. they both are working as resident for buttonÆs party at ://about blank. a1, their very first track, is called 11pm. the main solid synth line features deep kick drums surrounded by dubby industrial effects in the background. on a2 we find a heavy bottom groove, surrounded by echoes in a dark atmosphere. hand claps and white noises are driving any techno floor. the b side includes two different version by anna bolena. she produced some 90Æs rave structures affected by her experimental senses.

ochs release rate has been sturdy since he first emerged in 2010, but he s hitting his stride like never before as he follows up last years love unconditional for london s trelik with a new double 12inch ep for his own autoreply label. all the hallmarks of his sound are in place, from intricate and delicate melodic threads to immersive house and techno rhythms, all draped in the kind of atmospheric finery that cant fail to transport you to otherworldly places. by keeping a cool head about what to use and when, och has once again demonstrated his talent for reduced but verdant dance music that speaks volumes without having to shout.

berlin-based duo ontheground which consists of myztical and diagenetic origin, is about to release �role of the observer�, their follow-up to last year�s debut ep �touching higher ground�. this record is a snapshot of their creative development and hard work which took them at least a year to put together.
