first of 3 volumes taken from the incredibly rare japan only cd release inner films 70 from 2009. the sketch is simple, modern disco artists take on seminal film scores from the 70s and give them a twist. first we have norweigan disco wizard prins thomass take on the theme from rocky – gonna fly now. all live instrumentation… thisll rock your socks off. on the flip japanese artist foog (mule musiq) gives the theme from close encounters of the third kind a new lick of paint, while fellow japanese sonic adventurer hideo kobayashi (apt. international / bite grooves) turns rhapsody in blue into a tech-y workout.
