the latest signing to be revealed by london based label good years (banks, mick jenkins, lil silva). loyal are six hands and one voice formed from a shared love of disco, kate bush and kubrick. their influences inform their output - infectious rhythms and evocative lyrics create a sound that provokes cinematic imagery with each song adding texture to the aural landscape created within.

fifty first recordings was created in 1994 out of a small but very productive studio in london called state 51 using the down time and the very talented engineers who had been brought together for state 51 s existing clients. state 51 was the go to studio for the likes of x-press 2, sharp, amalgamation of soundz. the engineers we worked with included mark woolford, james brown, james reynolds & mark yardley. fifty first recordings soon found a name for itself and was very quickly at the forefront of the new generation of uk garage music. we produced and released music in the 90s, for over 7 years, with the likes of tuff jam etc. and later went to develop other imprints such as konnect / test press / unda vybe / spread love / tick etc., some in partnership with producers and managed artists.
