chilean born and berlin based dinky has forged a solid and illustrious career over the past decade. ‘casa’ announces her new album set for release on damian lazarus’s crosstown rebels this autumn, with remixes from axel boman and satori. a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player that has held a dj residency at berlin’s infamous panorama bar since 2004, dinky’s sixth album, also titled ‘casa’ will be the first since the birth of her two children.’ dinky’s delicate vocal on ‘casa’ is both up-tempo and spacious, with infusions of acid, leftfield and electronica in its veins. axel boman delivers a stunning, emotive and epic nine and a half minute dub version, overlaid with spoken word samples referring to lost experiences. the swedish born producer is much-lauded for his releases on dj koze’s pampa, permanent vacation and his own imprint, studio barnhus, formed with kornel kovacs and petter of border community. while the hedonistic take from satori takes ‘casa’ up beyond the horizon. a future crosstown rebels artist, satori has released on 8bit, under your skin and bla bla records. ‘casa’ sees a return to form for dinky and a welcome return to the crosstown imprint, after previously releasing a single and a mix album for the pioneering label.

in collaboration with aniara records sankt goran presents an old swedish release that has been released as promo only in 1999. its a release called slobban by a late 90s trio of jens johansson, peter gustafsson and carl magnus ernström from falun in the woods of dalarna, two hours north of stockholm. almost classic detroit techno tracks with some jazzy influences from these guys that have been playing around and tweeking their deep bass nine, tb-303, korg dw8000 and yamaha dx7 & dx10, sprinkling some samples on top with the casio fz-10m since 1994. the peepz of aniara were so impressed by this obscure record that they found it essential to get a small run back avaialble for the many vinyl heads around. vinyl only release of these great swedish techno tracks somehow in the vein of the breakthrough tracks of aril brihka. nice one!

traditional folk music from belgium, performed by swedish youngsters, met by art music with inspiration from the dj-culture. during the fall of 2015, guf (gävleborgs ungdoms folkband) released an album called guf4life where one of its songs got the dj & composer slim vic to react. the rain drenched sounds in the original composition worked as the fundament for two different musical journeys, signed by slim vic. part 1, is a varying composition that take the listener in and out of club music, ambient and the original tracks folk music. part 2, is a very dystopic world of sounds clearly on the border of art music.
