divination is the second lp to come from liam blackburns ancestral voices project. where his debut lp night of visions, reconstructed his rhythmic approach into a primal framework, divination sheds the beats almost entirely and focuses on soaring drones and liams refined approach to ambience. there is moments of tempered elation (revelation, inscriptions, cleromancy), contrasted with black hole soundtracks (geomancy, hieratic) with the overall feel of divination becoming a gently traversing voyage through a revolving mood-scape. with divination following more beat oriented ep’s for samurai music and horo, liam redefines the sound of ancestral voices with every release.divination is a glistening example of the singular voice he provides to electronic music.divination is pressed on crisp white vinyl 3x12inch housed in a deluxe full artwork sleeve with spot varnished runes exclusive to the lp version.

liam blackburn s transformative night of visions lp as ancestral voices forged a bold new sonic identity for an influential figure on the electronic music scene. from his groundbreaking work as indigo and onto the success of akkord s hybrid electronic melting pot (with synkro), the quest for forward movement is intrinsic to everything liam produces. to further celebrate the night of visions lp release, we asked some of our favourite producers to reconstruct some of night of visions highlights in their own style. each remixer chose their own track from night of visions to work with. the first name on our remix list was swedish producer and northern electronics label head - abdulla rashim. choosing invocations , his remix focuses on the hypnotic power of the original, turning the tune into a golden loop with subtle kick drum stabs, sweeping percussion and a dangling tension that hangs through the entire 7.33 minutes. asc & sam kdc chose feathered serpent and using just touches of the original tune have masterfully built an all new backbone that demonstrates clearly the ability of the grey area sound to work at 2 different tempo s and weld together with straight techno.

metempsychosis vinyl 002 invites you to the sonic soundscapes of flaminia along with remixes by headless horseman and ancestral voices. an epic trip inspired by the sanskrit story of agni, the god of fire, originally narrated in ancient india. dark percussive sounds walk the listener through the fire’s curse to be the devourer of everything in this world, destroyer of everything it touches. ethereal drones and atavistic strings reveal the turning point of this adventure when the curse is reversed in such a way that agni - the fire - becomes the purifier of all the things it touches. this story, brought to life by sound, teaches that reality and matter itself are actually shaped by perception and can change according to interpretation. fire can be feared as a destroyer or admired as a purifier. fire, just like death, is a crucial element of life on earth. a different perception of the world can change your world. so abandon yourself and embrace the fire.

restive plaggona recently released a brand new studio effort - a full-length album featuring 10 original tracks and a remix from ancestral voices, with a dark and melancholic twist, as the title of the project might imply. connected by a commonality of despair, nostalgia and desolation, restive plaggona elevated these elements into its maturity. at its core, each track has a soul-stirring significance, and is embalmed by titles that fringes on a political dimension.

the debut homemade weapons lp ‘negative space’ is still fresh in peoples playlists after a unanimously acclaimed release, and has gone on to be used as a benchmark for d&b lp’s that exist on the edges of the music’s periphery. combining function and form with equal emphasis, negative space is an lp full of tracks that dj’s play in clubs as opposed to being largely relegated to online mixes. to follow on from the lp, we selected 3 samurai artists to rebuild their favourite tracks from negative space and have combined this with a tidal track vip from homemade weapons made initially for his dj sets. ancestral voices, the untouchables, and sam kdc all turn in unique interpretations.

to follow the lucy remixes of the descent chapter i, we assembled a collection of our favourite artists to provide their interpretations of tracks from chapter ii. across the remixes, 4 totally unique creators have re built pact infernal parts into unexpected shapes, each one showing a new side to their talent, developed through re-molding the pact infernal sonic ingredients.
