quantized tribalism melts with jupiter’s sounds in “pulsing particles”. while in “emanation”, past and present feelings alternate through chants and synthesizers sitting on a solid funky groove.
“separated at birth” is the theme of the b-side, the minimalism of the original track is stretched by horror inc. (aka akufen, perlon) in a rare 9 minutes melodic drone with broken beat and thriller-ish like strings. a gem you can’t miss!

john thomas label ethique music pursues its fascinating exploration of funky house and minimal grooves with the first outing of the clover, a collaboration between three promising young artists from florence, italy (tony pecori, stefano meucci and g.key.

popular brass-led ensemble, kolonel djafaar, unveil second album, “getaway”, their first for batov records, seamlessly blending afrobeat, ethio jazz, and psych rock, whilst showcasing the band’s evolution over the past couple of years.

“homoheterogeneity”, originally released in january 2015, is the debut album from raccoglimento parziale, the duo formed by andrea giachetti and stefano meucci (the clover, silent people). in eight dense tracks, the album builds piece by piece an arcane language, made up of electromechanical beats, powerful basses, digitized guitars and broken samples, assembled in a liquid and fluctuating atmosphere. “homoheterogeneity” is a microscope’s view, a revealing blow-up over a cloud of microsounds, sometimes digital, sometimes organic. it’s a discovery of new life forms, homo/heterogeneous to our eyes - and to our ears. delivered on vinyl 33 rpm and mastered by frank merritt at the carvery in london, the album boasts on the cover the experimental photographic work of sandro crisafi, who visually recreated in the darkroom the chemistry that connects these fluctuating sounds.
