tikita, the casablanca based label focussed on body & mind music and its fifth offering is from french artist amandra. putting out just one release a year since 2014 - all of them on ahrpe records and with one being a full length - he has fomented a deep acid, ambient and techno sound for back rooms and underground clubs everywhere.
deadly groovin monster! slow tempo tracks for body & mind, featuring the swedish pairing of dorisburg and efraim kent, and esteemed japanese selector dj nobu, offering a rare original production, on the a-side. the flip have a beautiful cut from iori, called upon once again. completing the set is italian duo naturalelectronic.system. with an awaited classy production.
tikita welcomes neel for a first release in collaboration with label mainstays natural/electronic.system. the four tracks here cover deep, rolling, dubby tribal techno. the opener is sparse and dark, gracida is more urgent and alien with watery droplets and wet melodies, then sinistra is mind melting and loopy techno that takes you into the cosmos. last of all, percussiva has supple jeff mills style synths warping round each other as heavy drums pound below. it is brilliantly consuming techno from some of the best in the game.
tikita is back for it 2nd release, after the timeless reissue of ko-ta, this time the label compiled a solid va four tracker, with contributions from the stratosphere records crew (ko-ta and kiyokazu hamawaki) who delivers two timeless voodoo cuts never been released. the label wanted to balance between the past and the modern hypnotic body & mind wich became the labels identity, iori and artefakt took it as a honest mission to deliver two mindblowing tracks to confirm this body & mind aspect.
