recorded in late 2010 and mixed in a remote studio during the finnish snowstorms of early 2011, donky pitch present >the trick ep<, by helsinki resident and skweee pioneer v.c. six original tracks of synth soaked computer funk, electro inspired slow jams and colourful hip hop heaters. v.c. has been making moves in the skweee scene since the early days (as a solo artist and as 1/4 of supergroup yt). his combination of layered synths, hip hop beats and that type of funk only found in the cold reaches of the nordic region have scored him releases on every skweee label going (flogsta danshall / harmnia / mssy / ddpop / disques mazout) as well as ramp recordings. we felt it only right that he commanded our first true foray into the scandinavian electro funk sound of skweee.

clr is celebrating release number 050 with another impressive remix package. it features two remixes of two different tracks from tommy four sevens recently released debut album >primate< (clrcd010). for this occasion, none other than one of the undisputed founding fathers of detroit techno and minimal techno, robert hood, and the genre-bending dub-techno pioneer sigha have come to the table and have delivered two massive remixes of those highly innovative tracks by the british born, berlin-based producer. also included in the package are >verge<, the original track remixed by sigha, as well as another original track by the name of >g<. to understand why this is a truly memorable release, one has to know that tommy four sevens approach to music is unlike a musician. .

after two re-releases of conrad schnitzler classics, (zug & ballet statique) now m=minimal releases a completely new work from the pioneer of electronic music. conrad schnitzler is a sound explorer. for many years, he has been on expeditions, journeys through his collection of electronic synthesizers almost every day. sounds he liked has been conserved on tape and stored in his sound library. the result is a huge library of audio files, he calls them >solen<. >borngräber & struever< have got the chance to examine that library and started to con-struct new pieces out of the hidden gems. these are not remixes but new compositions. none of the sound combinations were thought or heard before. the 8 tracks form an album independent of any trend and therefore it becomes a real acoustic environment for everyone. the album was produced at studio.wannsee. to give the album more authenticity, the complete audio processing was done using analog equipment. they not only used many classics among the finest synthesizers and outboard equipment, but also custom built tube gear. the icing on the cake are the tubes used from the 60s, which bought christian borngräber on a trip through the atacama desert in a small radio repair business in the city of calama. thanks to the desert climate even the packaging of the tubes looked as new

the word genius is not a term we like to use loosely when speaking about our artists but giorgio sancristoforo aka tobor experiment fits the bill. a gifted musician, soft synth designer, found sound pioneer and he still finds time to make forward thinking disco pop for bearfunk as tobor experiment >disco experience<.
