vitalik recordings welcomes sam russo to the ranks with the rather fantastic vanishing test ep. sams production skills defy his years, his style defined and his sound signature. his trained ears have been sought after by the likes of craig richards, matt tolfrey and huxley in recent studio collaborations. his music is non-categorical genre speaking however his influences permeate his music, dub and bass play key roles, darkness and light coexist in a dynamic juxtaposition, bright expansive pads soar over rumbling kicks and moody bass lines.

fcl is the pairing of two reputable producers in the underground house circuit, namely san soda & red d, individually and under the fcl guise, both artists have made a huge impact, although retained a quality over quantity approach, with only a string of releases out there on the likes of we play house, ferrispark, and delusions of grandeur. although these singles acted a striking indication of quality with each one garnering huge support from the masses, especially the duos critically acclaimed lets go, on the 2010 vocals for everyone ep

everybody likes doumen, but also everybody says >oh no ... i love doumen, but its hard to play their records in my dj sets or to have a party with them...<
so this is why we founded van doumen. it is a rework sublabel, completely based on original doumen material, following the idea of tracks that work in dj sets, but still have the doumen spirit. the first record was done by scherbe (uncanny valley, big bait, ..), philipp matalla (kann records, internasjonal spesial, ..), webermichelson (holger) and potensia (modern soul, ..). the first two tracks are superb club smashers, followed by an angry caricature monster of techno and finally potensia walks you home in the most intimate and beautiful way possible. to be honest, we say this record as a first step of van doumen is a classic already.

bryan ferry meets carl craig meets 909 drumtracks produced by an unnamed member of throbbing gristle. chase smith is a studio wizard living in pittsburgh. he shares a studio with shawn rudiman and the boys from pittsburgh track authority. a record so diverse that it makes total sense. vocal sleeze, emotional instrumentals, and a beating drum track for the djs to play with.

parisian acid crew minimum syndicat drop their trademark techno on pareto park, with an ep of industrial beats, evil acid and brooding analog synths. spanish techno mainstays exium remix the title track, fracturing the beat into an intricate broken rhythm underpinning evolving bleeps and dark synths. four tracks of warehouse techno for peak time play.

what do you do when a live project exceeds its own ambitions? just keep doing the wonderful concerts and eventually head to the studio. sounds simple and conclusive. in the case of karocel, that was exactly how they went about it and surprisingly, all six band members made it happen. though the four marbert rocels, mathias kaden and michael-mitchi-nagler have known each other from their hometown along the gera-jena-erfurt corridor, and the karocel live shows have been well received: an album is an entirely different beast.

droid recordings presents a new 12 inch from dj hyperactive, whose jacking chicago sound has evolved over the years into a deeper sound that maintains his signature infectious drive. on 25 hours, an undulating, bassy synth line builds into the machine-voiced partiers dream of 25 hours in a day, before the track takes off with neck-breaking snare and clap combos and proceeds to rebuild. raíz pulls the track from the depths to deliver something more brash and energetic. there is more at play here, with the 3-note riff tweaked throug the tracks duration, and the words 25 looped through a series of insistent, smashing snares. in the final mix, newcomer markus suckut follows his recent remixes of xhin and pfirter with an unexpected and idiosyncratic interpretation. tonal elements are drawn into the lower registers, while the vocal sample slithers around the mix. the syncopated elements of the original surface with in an alternative mode, dark and driving.

four songs, four sides, four very different dimensions to metro areas core: atmosphrique, the art of hot, caught up, and miura. we hope this package opens up metro areas sound to a new generation of listeners and djs, while providing crisp new remasters for metro areas original fans. enjoy - and please play loud and often !!!

ms. smooth socal soul meets mr. nocal dirtybird swagger and they have a baby together. that baby is justin jay and at 19 years old he is already making his 3rd appearance on dirtybird. i have a feeling this is justin jays breakout record. the a-side static is at 119 bpm and will sweep you up then rip your pants off. but even when you get hit with the massive bassline, an old school anchor stays intact. waves b-side has a classic deep dirtybird feeling, with tuned 808s and a surprising melodic element showing off the sweeter side of this up and coming young gun. justin jay has more potential than anyone i have heard in a while and if he continues to play like he has been lately, he has a long dj career ahead of him as well.

as belfast house maestros extended play stride into their thirties, they decided it was time to commit some of their solid workouts to wax.
