delsin records welcomes back dennis van gemert aka area forty_one for a second ep on the label. it is a second part to the nocturnal passions series started back in 2013, and come five years after his first ever release, which was on ann aimee in 2011, once again fusing ambient with techno, downtempo and electro. nocturnal passions part 2 is seven minutes of slithering electro funk. full of twinkling keys and spaced out chords, it has rugged bass and bumpy drums all making you want to move. voyage is then a raw, beat driven yet still brilliantly serene affair with angelic chords, consolation is a comforting, mid tempo tumble through the galaxy with soft focus, rippling melodies and gentle churning kicks and orbiting is a suspensory, fully ambient track that sounds like a slow journey up to heaven. this is teary eyed, emotive stuff that comes from another world entirely.

one of the most charismatic and respected djs in poland, eltron (aka eltron john) presents what is probably the most expressely club-oriented record in transatlantyk history. his four track offering sounds much like his sets - ferocious and subtle, raw and sophisticated at the same time. the main mix of b&s blends druggy deepness inspired by the vibe of 90s tribal america with uk funky riddims, creating the sort of pneumatic house groove that never fails to get the party rocking. this simple, yet meticulously produced tune has already been road-tested and received enthusiastic feedback from a number of jocks around europe, and the vinyl version seems destined to strengthen its deserved banger-with-a-message status. the dub version of fuses layers of darker, industrial bleeps with a classic break and a rather healthy dose of echo. trippy and rough, yet exhilarating - it is exactly the kind of track you want to hear in a dark warehouse. switch to the b-side for the light , where sampled vocals, pitched-down drums and fuzzy pads are combined to form a unique specimen of lo-fi r n b, eltron-style. this hazy groove is guaranteed to guide dancers ever-so-gently into the light of the morning. finally, reprise exposes the bare bones of the original. with its dubby, in-your-face quality, it is one for the track heads, definitely.

after the debut release on do not sleep become a sure fire club hit, the ibiza party turned much loved house and tech label now has another weapon up its sleeve. the next release is from perel, is titled charles manson and features another standout remix from resident darius syrossian. perel is a berlin based dj, producer and vocalist who is quickly rising through the ranks. she has released both originals and remixes on o*rs before now, and has a robust house and techno infused sound that simply makes you want to dance. as a dj she is a regular at cool spots like farbfernseher and impresses here with what she serves up for do not sleep. the original is a chunky, no-nonsense house track with bouncy bass, subtle vocals and the sort of futuristic and soulful pads that help make it really stand out. it s a slick, well produced sound that is sure to make it into many top record bags in the coming weeks and months. the remix from darius is a subtle one that layers in some trance inducing vocals and extra breakdowns so as to really highlight the powerful effect of the drums each and every time they drop.

tt/dok is kenton slash demons third ep on future classic. the two track ep is set to hold down the same amount of anticipation and support of precious offerings of the danish duo. this release affirms again the strength of kenton slash demons organic and futuristic sound, and their obvious skills take their productions further than the typical frame and dramaturgy of a club track. they want to create soundtracks for clubs as well as music that you can listen to on your home stereo, thus blurring the space between the public and private experience. the vinyl release includes a download code.

disco tools 1° moods is the first ep of sampling moods records label. in this first release eddie lays down the defining ingredients of his label: disco-funk samples, distinct rhythms and recordings on tape. assisted by his mentors, eddie sets out to make his mad passion for a particular music (…classics from the paradise garage, the loft sounds and the disco-funk hits) amalgamate with a galvanising rhythmic construction, which is raw and rough.

when i was 10 years old my father took me to a flea market in a very small city up north in sweden, pitea. there was a little bit of everything being sold there: ski equipment, comics, porcelain figurines and vinyl. it was there and then i came across autobahn by kraftwerk. the thing is, we didn t have a turntable at the house we stayed in, on those cold winter weeks so i had to wait until we came back home to give the record a proper spin. in my mind i played it several times and i thought it was amazing. i imagined it was music from the future. what i thought when i heard it for real? didn t like it at all. the very same feeling i imagined autobahn would sound like is the one i get after listening to ishi vu s debut on omena. these five tracks, you could call it an album if you like, are playful, quirky, dreamy and very addictive. like finding a new friend you know you want to keep for a very long time.

a-side opens with a post-apocalyptic anthem, which makes you want to sniff glue until all worlds break down. followed by sirvan, a hypnotic, self-reflective rat catcher - vocal house is back. changing sides brings you rufex, which initially takes you back to dubby berlin times, but ends up with rumbling witches playing their boneshaking rattles. mattlack rounds it up with a messy, synth-stabbing ravelifter - for doormen only!

red laser seems to be attracting a wealth of young parisian talent as they release more heat from paris via red laser new comer romainn bezzina. bezzina has worked closely with bent producer simon mills to create and compile this ep of sultry analogue baleario disco especially for the manchester label. bezzina s remix of gary low s i want you has already appeared on the recent red laser disco compilation and now gets a re-press on this heavyweight twelve for increased sound quality. bezzina also drops fly away jack, a splendid shuffler reminiscent of van mccoy or bebu silvetti with a touch of love unlimited thrown in. these accompany 2 more tracks of sensual synth deepness including an exclusive vinyl release of bent s exercise 4 to make even the icy sleet of salford turn into the sweltering sun of st tropez.

debut release from brian ring. raised in cork on a diet of us-american house music and disco oscillating between sylvester and glenn underground, while sneaking into clubs underaged (see sir henrys for further reference) ring was baptised by by david mancuso and theo parrish in london (thank you easyjet) while his record collection grew and grew. living in berlin now, an epiphany in some remote parts of australia (it was 42 degrees!) resulted in him following his own path in making music. so, here we go: the movements ep brings together mike dunn (sample has been cleared, folks), timothy leary and tee scott puts disco roller skates on heavy legged deep house and is most of all as much fun as it is sincere. all in a certain way that is personally his.
