blending light is the first in the series and is s also amorf s debut album, a collaborative project connecting three musical minds and exploring the converging areas between acoustics and electronics, neoclassicism & techno.

henrik schwarz and !k7 are proud to announce a collaboration that will bare many different musical fruits. the first of these is a brand new label called between buttons, curated by henrik and focused on acoustic sounds and contemporary compositions. between buttons will be in partnership with !k7’s own neo-classical hub 7k!, and will kick off with a new mini lp by schwarz entitled works piano, followed by an ep entitled aphorisms by syrian artists khaled kurbeh & raman khalaf ensemble. mixing up old and new technologies, experimental and more classical approaches, the label will see schwarz forge new paths in his own work, as well as curating material from the peers he has worked with over the last 15 years. mainly made up of acoustic sounds, piano, string quartets, self-built instruments, percussion and intriguing classicist elements with a modern twist, there will be eps from piano virtuoso bugge wesseltoft, as well as other electronic producers wanting to show themselves in a different, more unplugged light. “in these times of constant turbo mode, likes and thumbs-up, we need to go back to basics,” says henrik. “we want to move away from the idea that relentless hasty productivity is a must, and instead take time to create space, to let ideas mature and to focus the mind on subtler sounds.” works piano will be a four track mini album that uses a yamaha disklavier as the starting point and reimagines it, reworks it and alters it with various digital and recording technologies. one track is a created with a reactive algorithm and one is composed purely from altered and processed piano sounds.

on the heels of the two the other people place releases in the early 2000 s another related mini album was already in the works. it never saw the light of day due to james stinson s untimely death. finally it resurfaced on a long lost dat tape.

nice price deal !!! a co-production with benga ? the brilliantly sparse, bleepy >green eyes< ? is going to grab peoples attention, but the other three tracks here are easily as good. sarah goldielocks akwisombe makes outstanding modernist electro-pop with dark, emotionally intense lyrical themes and a hefty dj-friendly dubstep wallop, and is without question a talent who is here to stay. the ep is overall inspired by london, underground music scenes ? 2step / garage / grime and dubstep, paranoia, relationships and concealed emotions.

dark entries present -a tape-, a double lpof early work by helena hauff, a dj and record producer based in hamburg, germany. at university she studied fine art, physics, and systematic music science. she previously was a resident at hamburg s golden pudel club, where she hosted a night called birds and other instruments. as a selector she weaves energetically between electro, new wave, and ebm. her music, often recorded live in one take, has a raw intensity to it. she debuted with an ep on werkdiscs back in 2013 followed by records for lux_rec and bunker sublabel panzerkreuz as well as two collaborative eps for pan, produced under the name black sites with fellow pudel resident f#x. ‘a tape’ is a compilation of helena’s earliest recordings from 2011 and 2014, originally released on limited cassette by handmade birds in 2015. clocking in at over 50 minutes, this collection spans hauff’s musical universe, from jacking acid-techno to krautish zone-outs and scuzzy feedback interludes. it’s tempting to consider it helena’s debut album, but she views these tracks as mostly forgotten sketches left on the cutting room floor. it a gripping collection of deep, sinister analog synth sequences, industrial dissonance, and heavy percussion. her equipment set up was a roland alpha juno 2, juno 60, tb-303, tr-707 and tr-808. both of the discs end with hauff stepping outside of the intentionally stiff, robotic rhythms, instead showing her skill at crafting less conventional electronic sounds. all songs have been mastered by james plotkin with vinyl eq and lacquer cut by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. the record is housed in a custom made jacket designed by eloise leigh, featuring a checkered graphic and black lines, highlighted by yellow and green for maximum visual tension. each copy includes a double-sided postcard with notes.

if mega-psychedelic tripping house excursions are your thing then it s entirely possible that derrick carter s sound patrol orchestra may have exactly what you need. no exaggeration. tripping among the stars indeed. the other version of this jam lifted from the sweetened - no lemon lp from 1994 is maybe a little better known, but these mixes right here are worthy of all your attention too! 3 non-stop funk excursions into the cosmos with derrick and co. joining you and guiding you with their cosmic voices. it s hard to pick a favourite as all included are very different beasts yet somehow essential. honestly, this ep kinda shits on most things that you may hear currently and this stuff is from 1997. the still trippin mix is definitely a standout, a free, weaving, 12 minute plus colliding jam that just opens up and evolves real lovely, exactly the kind of record you want to hear around 7am on a smoky dance-floor somewhere. pure after hours perfection. the other mixes are just as potent, with a heavy cowbell laden dc dub mix that s brimming over with live drums and handclaps and a superb bass laden wamdue kids mix that takes off into the stratosphere of deep. basically, this whole record has it covered. literally, it shouldn t leave your bag anytime soon. essential new (old) school chicago gear that just won t quit. thank the heavens we all get the chance to trip again with this beautiful repress! essential. remastered and repressed with the involvement and welcome assistance of the mr.derrick carter, chicago usa.

detroit s burden bros have long been looked upon with immense respect within contemporary dance music. having been in operation since 1990 with their 430 west imprint they have long encapsulated the forward thinking vibe of detroit techno with their output over the last 20+ years, gaining praise from their motor city peers as well as fans worldwide. having had success in the mainstream and an enduring underground presence they are well versed in the art of music. point blank , released on 430 west in 1996, feature some of the brothers deeper, more subdued, futuristic technoid grooves. not as driving as some of their other releases but retaining that burden groove for sure, forward thinking, intelligent techno from the d, 100%. 4 different versions of 2 tracks feature. each mix tweaking ever so slightly what came before. as usual, the dj s and the dancers are foremost in octave one s mind and this ep will be welcomed by both contingents, always classic, often imitated but never bettered! re-mastered, re-pressed and re-released in conjunction with the burden brothers / 430 west records, detroit usa.

the golden ravedays is an epic album of 24 tracks that was released in january 2017 and is stretching over 12 respective chapter albums during a one-year period. the sixth piece of the golden ravedays puzzle will be released on hippie dance in june 2017.

number 6 of the series introduces two further tracks of the sound adventure that superpitcher is taking us on this year. side a features protest song. if music is a way of transporting us to other places, protest song takes us to a desolate, scary and loveless environment, a burnt-down, burnt-out place where the flesh of its former inhabitants is smouldering, void of goodwill and kindness in a cloud of toxic and greedy smoke. it’s all kafka and orwell and suffering - the most twisted and eerie track so far in the golden ravedays saga. what is undeniably clear is an acute sense of regret and loss - a warning that it could have been avoided, had we only listened to our hearts and protested. in the same vein on side b we hear powerful resistance. produced after the paris attacks of 2015 superpitcher outdid himself with this strong message of resistance. where protest song paints a picture of under-worldly doom, resistance’s techno beat and insistent refrain sweeps us to the surface of the muck of hatred and intolerance we’ve politically been dumped in. a voice that seems like a trapped animal is calling out to us. what is it trying to say? is it crying out for help? is that animal all of us? resistance represents hope and encouragement and could be the perfect marching track to any demonstration against negative forces. much needed in this age of bigotry where it seems like time has leaped backwards to a darker side of history. as for the dancefloor – resistance is irresistible!

das komplex or marcin to his parents has been steadily putting out incredible music for the last few years, building on an extremely well tailored collection of tracks they have started hitting all sorts of people s radar, no one more so than dj harvey who has been supporting his releases at some of his big shows. a1. under feet - whilst the people of australia are dancing, the people of poland are sleeping. or vice versa...starting off with some lcd fuelled vibes before a psychedelic phasing disco loop appears out of the smoke before twisting the track out in a slightly different direction. a2. w podwodnym pasniku - funky bass, filtered chords and a familiar vocal sample combine for this almost early french house sounding track circa 96. b1. bearded dwarf - very much sounding like prins thomas has been at work here, a big room scandinavian sounding house track (via poland!). big atmospherics, other-worldly vocal samples, lovely guitar snatches and driving piano with the addition of some tribal flute! b2. when - our favourite cut from the ep, cleverly using a herbie hancock sample and layering with disco sounds, vocals and a deep driving bass line to produce his trademark atmospheric, moody house sound. as always pressed on 180gm vinyl. please hunt down and destroy dance floors accordingly. keep sydney open

dj raw sugar is a native of berlin, but has done a 6 year stint in new zealand and now resides in perth. his productions are deep and raw house beats mixed with jazz, boogie, disco, funk and soul. over the years he has put out music via other people s labels like gazeebo international, midnight riot and ism, but is now taking matters into his own hands via love sexy records - a label he has just started. the debut release kicks off with a piece from the man himself! it s a sweet and sultry slice of disco. inkswel, also australian based, takes up remix duty taking the track in a more club-ready direction. slow goodness all over!

a leopard cant change his spots and magnus international earned his spots in the sequence hue of oslos disco scene. disco is the single thread that runs through all electronic dance music. after an inconsistent hiatus from recording, the norwegian dj had donned the producer cap resolutely for his debut lp, echo to echo with us last year in 2016, the an additional much loved album bonus 12inch. that all, aside his many other projects for us in the last years. now 2017, magnus synths are on again, like a breath of fresh air and sunlight, these 4 tracks roll on to the world from oslos shores and as his usually best magnus is very strong on seamingly endless grooving chords and timing, sweet harmonycentric bliss and tight, on the point drum programming that comes with this pull factor wich makes you want to play or listen out loud over and over again. theres a chmmr remix as well so things look really good here!

fresh from the success of their ‘past / present / future’ release, we march on, with berlin-based italian christopher ledger the man responsible for their label’s 41st release. the ‘percezione and retrospettiva’ ep sees ledger in flying form, as he props up with two dexterous, thoughtfully executed records that speak volume of his ability to craft atmospheric sounds. opening up the release is the sounds of ‘retrospettiva 2’, a future leaning techno jam that again wonderfully fits the brouqade aesthetic. clearly indebted to sci-fi spheres, this one is very much cut from a detroit cloth, with a steely finesse that lurks from the get go. a track that brings the listener on an endless journey, it comes some deep harmonic vibes. all things told, this is an ep of various contrasting sounds, ledger’s debut for brouqade is a stunning example of what can happen when producers think outside the box. the b side consists of ‘percezione attiva’. harmonic, blissful tones abound throughout, made all the more meaningful by a slew of gentle, melancholic piano chords that really pull on the heartstrings. a light and hazy experimental piece, the track forces parallels with other masters of suspense. culminating with a more traditional 4/4 vibe, this unusual turn only enhances the producer’s standing as a man willing to take risks.

german techno champ alex cortex hasnt released an album since 2011 s kihon on pomelo, but the prolific and long-serving artist is rarely resting on his laurels. having released just one other ep from lowtec, blundar now presents a new untitled lp from cortex that should satisfy fans of his leftfield approach to techno in all its forms. track 2 is a masterclass in how to work breakbeats into techno without sounding forced or false, while track 4 blooms from delicate ambience to snagging broken beat with the grace you can only find with such a seasoned vet. spanning many moods, tempos and rhythms, this is a perfect demonstration of the many engrossing approaches cortex can attempt and succeed at within the many-sided realm of techno

born roy samuel reid in saint thomas in 1944, i roy was one of jamaicas all-time greatest deejays. a natural-born toaster, his rhyming raps always sounded effortless, whether describing the harsh realities of the inner city, or making light of nonsense nursery rhymes. a former employee at customs and excise, he was first active on a sound system called soul bunnies in the rock steady era, moving to son’s junior in 1968, and later, to the legendary supreme ruler of sound, defecting to the rival stereo sound system after that. hits for harry mudie and other producers soon followed, and after the killer debut album presenting i roy impacted overseas, the toaster began spending frequent periods in london. his longstanding working relationship with hit-making producer bunny lee led to some of his most noteworthy albums during the mid 1970s, the 1977 set cant conquer rasta is a superb showcase-style album, on which the toaster blows hard lyrics over five of lees killer rockers rhythms (recorded with the likes of johnny clarke), each complete with a corresponding aggrovators dub on the flip, all mixed by prince jammy at king tubbys studio

the next release on man power’s me me me features two emotive leftfield house cuts from dsc, the newly minted production alias of desert sound colony, aka liam wachs, the man behind the newly launched holding hands record label. wake up, is a sweetly melodic track of pulsing house, with coming round providing a pumping and muscular leftfield techno counterpoint. on remix duties man power invites north east upstart elliot adamson to remix wake up, before his full length ep coming up next on the label. hotly tipped by everyone from jackmaster to jamie jones, elliot is a superstar in the making, and relishes the opportunity to flex his more esoteric muscles with a slice of deconstructed electro that hints at the startling musical breadth, which the young producer is only beginning to reveal. coming round is remixed by none other the legendary rex the dog, who is not only an artist who man power has huge admiration for, but also someone he is pleased to call a good friend. the trust between the two artists shines through, as “rex” provides possibly one of the most unfettered dancefloor tracks of his career.

florian kupfer, after a string of prestigious releases on ron morelli’s l.i.e.s. and russian torrent versions imprints, willie burns w.t. records, rush hour and ninja tune’s technicolour sub-label (lest not forget that white label sade bootleg), returns with a three track ep on private persons.
this 12 inch tells us the story of the beginning of florian’s career - his travels, dreams and of course love. title track “post present”, recorded for the first time five years ago get’s its first cut into wax. eerie, other-worldly voices reach over a kicking, distinctively kupfer-esque rhythm track. “i can’t love life without u” is a dub drive through retro-futuristic heartbreak and “&#1051,,,&#1102,,,&#1073,,,&#1086,,,&#1074,,,&#1100,,,” an ambient tip into the subconscious.

one of jamaicas most highly-rated vocalists, alton ellis made an incredible contribution to the islands popular music. blessed with a particularly emotive voice that brings shivers to the spine whether singing original material or cover tunes, ellis was born and raised in trench town, the west kingston ghetto area that gave rise to bob marley and the wailers and countless other singers. ellis and singing partner eddie parkins hit big in 1961 with the ballad muriel for coxsone dodd, and after parkins moved to the usa, ellis teamed briefly with john holt, and then began fronting the flames harmony group. he excelled in the rock steady style, christening the genre with rock steady and i have got a date, bouncing between studio one and treasure isle for a number of years. from 1971, he spent increasing period in london, but continued to record hits in jamaica for various producers. the 1979 release love to share was arranged by the great studio one keyboardist, jackie mittoo, who co-produced the album with junior lincoln, founder of the london-based bamboo label, the disc straddles the line between lover’s rock and roots reggae, remaining a lesser-known classic

seafoam is back and will stay with us for a little while. after the revelation of his latest productions, -lost tape 98 project- presents some special tracks produced in the late 90s / early 2000s. when we got this original dat of -hybrid- release in order to re-edit it, what a big surprise to discover other original tracks that were never released. so we decided to sign our 3 favorite tracks on rue de plaisance s sub-label : « rue de plaisance re-issue ».

finally the third release for red rooster records. like the second one, we are talking about a various artists e.p.: minimono (fabio della torre and ennio colacci) is an italian duo born in florence in 1997. in 2008 fabio and ennio founded their own label -bosconi records- where they released their first album in 2010. now minimono works with robsoul records, vibraphone and other very good label from all over the world. dj rou is parts of the project called homequest, a real crew of artists made in bologna, we can also find his music on robsoul jazz, bosconi extra virgin or flexi cuts. memoryman aka uovo is one of the famous pastaboys, he has a long story that starts with the label manocalda, he worked with a lot of big artists from the main house scene and he did a lot of records with the bests labels. d’arabia, class 1991, is the owner of red rooster records and this is the third release for him, surely not the last.

uncertainty. no set route. destination unknown. younger than me know it s the journey that counts, and they premiere with quite the musical journeyman. the dulcet tones of none other than the don, fred ventura, accompany the title piece, a grooving melody ticks over against clean beats. san proper kick up some dust, adding some grit and soul to the original. the flip takes on a darker aspect. the giallo flavoured -not for all- looms and lurks before the dream woven depths of -don demorder-.

fouk are finally back on heist after their great ‘kill frenzy’ ep in 2014 and have taken mount liberation unlimited along for a remix. we’ve been waiting patiently for new material, challenging the guys to take the signature ‘fouk’ sound to the next level. fouk’s brilliance has been obvious on recent work for their own label outplay and razor ‘n tape, as well as their respective solo projects. we’ve kept a close connection, teaming up whenever possible for heist showcases, with highlights in amsterdam’s “claire” and paris’ “concrete-. seeing their work and enthusiasm made it abundantly clear that it would only be a matter of time before they’d show us what the next step would look -or better yet- sound like. anticipation ran high but boy, do fouk deliver. the excellent ‘with lasers’ ep still very much portrays their own style of loose, live percussion and many layers of funk, but they’ve expanded their vision and even toughened up a bit. their new taste for grit and an interest in the heavier side of funk is probably most evident on the opener ‘f3000&#8242,,,,,, where a thunderous arpeggio is supported by distorted drums and lush cosmic synth stabs. title track ‘with lasers’ is more of a classic fouk track, combining a lovely walking disco bassline and their signature drum programming with… erm… lasers. lots of them. the b side ‘see you on the other side’ sets a different pace, carefully blending guitar licks, rhodesy chords and vocal chops into a lovely groove that feels just as carefree and improvised as it feels exciting. swedish synth nerds “mount liberation unlimited” ran with it and transformed it into a dreamy -pepe bradock goes balearic- track where airy echoed guitars take turns with some equally dreamy and evocative pads.

lf rmx arrives as new non-profit platform which will share only edits originally made by len faki for playing in his dj sets. what began as small technical tweaks has since grown into passionate work, the edits eventually becoming an important staple to the special feel and flow of the figure head’s well-renowned approach to djing. the series’ first release features the rework of dj bone’s 2016 slammer ‘black patterns’, whose heavily rolling nature the hardspace mix builds upon. keeping the oldschool drums’ weighty feel, len faki gives his a edit a more compact shell and punchy edge. the centerpiece piano stabs also reign over this version, albeit rising in a glimming, glistening fashion, making it a definite choice for this summer. the hardspace tool on the other side steers clear of piano and vocal, rather developing a lively sequence of unmistakenly len faki-styled, vigorous percussive permutations. as this project is very much a matter of the heart, and as much about honoring the orignal artists’ work as it is about sharing the edits with a wider audience, there will be no monetary gain involved. instead all the proceeds will be donated fully to straßenkinder e.v., a berlin organization fighting against child poverty

its the third album on our label and this time we grabbed on the other side of the ocean! the mexican techno native israel toledo, who lives these days in germany, is the man of now and gives us full-on electricity with 9 volts.

louie balo guzman dropped this fine slab of ny garage house, his debut ep, way back in 1994 on the legendary eightball records. this 4 tracker showcases all the us influences that were evident on a lot of subsequent uk garage records, it s all here the deep rolling bassline s, pads and that killer mid 90 s era drum programming, shuffling, metallic, funky. a dream for the djs, tools packed with pure soul! across the 4 cuts guzman drops a bevy of styles, each track sounding fresh and most importantly, as we said before funky! as we all know, this era of dance music from the us was extremely fertile, sometimes there are records that deserve more props, often coveted by the digging cognoscenti, and this is one of them, as good as the mood ii swings, the maws, blaze s or any of the other production outfits you d care to mention. somewhere in-between early tribal, deep house, and garage you ll find the boogiebalo ep. a rare record that s a tough one to get your hands on and a truly worthy addition to any self respecting house-heads record stash for real. the boogiebalo ep has been lovingly re-mastered and re-pressed with the original eightball label artwork intact in full conjunction with eightball records, nyc for 2017. dont sleep!

elizabeth merrick-jefferson is one of those artists who seem low-key. theres not a lot of information about her, if any, except for the existence of the first two records and a lone interview. one released in 2013 and the other in 2014. listening to either record tells you her music might be a lot of things, but low-key isnt one of them. powerful and colourful, direct, and with 313 references embedded in its dna, she pulls it off with style. elizabeths third record is no exception. it has found its home on our mothership label, burek. three happiness is tailor-made for the dance floor. it wont leave anyone with a pulse standing. playful synths, wonderful strings, and infectious groove make it impossible to ignore. knowledge revolution is layered and paced, painting a somewhat different picture. melancholy and a sense of mystery envelop this track, whose leitmotif vocal appears just frequently enough to provide insight into the title. the last track of this ep is fittingly titled noctilucent clouds. its a drumless track with a rhythmic main synth counterpointed by sounds which give off the impression of clouds shining through the darkness of winter nights. another amazing release from burek.

favorite recordings proudly presents this new official reissue of arian: a rare and underrated disco album originally released in 1981 by pgp rtb label and fully recorded in new-york. arian kerliu was born in the small town of macedonia, dibra or debar. arian’s first recordings for a local radio stations were at the age of 14, appearing in almost every music festival in ex-yugoslavia. when he was 19, arian came to new york city, working different jobs and studying music. his first music engagements were in various clubs throughout the city, playing guitar and singing. he then met with james benjamin-fish, well known bass-guitar player, with whom he formed the band arian & funky family, mainly performing in the best clubs of nyc at that time. together, they came to an idea to record an album of their own. after travelling throughout the us, they got to know each other very well, and had connected with probably some of the best musicians you could find at that time. thus they had sinclair acey arranging three songs and hubert eaves, as a writer of -still together-, a beautiful ballad written in honor of his wife. by that time hubert had gained two grammy awards for stephanie mills’ albums. kornelius cambell also wrote and composed two songs of the album, which sinclair acey arranged. the album also contains a great cover of “can’t say goodbye” by bobby caldwell, a song that arian and james had interpreted almost every night when touring. and all of this completed with the background vocals of tawatha agee (mtume), shevill alexander and sybil thomas (raw silk). arian & funky family band was then invited in yugoslavia for a european tour, including james, kornelius and stacey, but also others great musicians such as william -spaceman- patterson, zane mark, steve kroon, trevor gale, alex foster, or reggie marks, not forgetting flame braithwaite and meli sa morgan on background vocals. having the material of the 4 songs ready and finalized, the pgp rtb label from belgrade offered them to release an album, with the idea to also adapt the songs with lyrics from the famous croatian musician and writer mario mihaljevic. today, favorite recordings is deeply honored to bring this brilliant lp back to life. in order to insure the best sound quality, the original tracklist has been dispatched on a double vinyl version, which should please all djs and music collectors

‘race to zero’ is the new album by musician and composer john matthias and producer, musician and composer jay auborn.
the album’s starting point was a series of acoustic improvisations recorded in a variety oflocations, from a 700 year old chapel in the devon countryside to a basement studio in reykjavík, iceland. in an attempt to create a fractured sense of space reflective of the digital condition, the duo found themselves working within a place that could only exist in the digital landscape.
by crushing the recordings through a hundred different virtual rooms of reverb and other chaotic digital processes, they collided, soared and splintered into sweeping new rhythms, melodies and drones.
the outcome is a unique landscape that blurs the line between the virtual and physical worlds.

with comparisons being made to psykick warriors of gaia, cyclobe and insanlars kime ne this ones definitely making waves amongst fans of.....well....whatever sort of music this is. komodo kolektif is a loose collective of veteran multi-instrumentalists based not in indonesia as one might expect with such a name, but glasgow, scotland, their name being a reference to the indonesian gamelan instruments featured in their compositions. the instruments used (saron, gender, kempul) belong to local gamelan ensemble gamelan naga mas of which two of the musicians have been full-time members for around a decade while the other members are also loosely affiliated and have appeared as guest musicians on various one-off performances and who are themselves well-known musicians in their own rights.

we’re glad to welcome back aun to cyclic law for their latest opus! aun’s music as always suggested forays into other dimensions, be it to imaginary worlds, industrial wastelands, through space and time, or via mind altered states. from the ominous dystopian artwork, of a city being drained of its energy by some mysterious black hole, to the first notes of the title track “fiat lux” we are once again transported on aun’s otherworldly travelling path. ever since the space industrial and power electronics of aun’s previous cyclic law cult release “black pyramid”, the world has become even more sinister, but in contrast, “fiat lux” exudes even more of aun’s melancholic hopefulness. the disintegrating chords and densely textured waves, anchored by a left field industrial pulse, invoke occult drug enhanced, future psychedelia. created in part in their montreal studio, these tracks were extensively performed live, prior to recording, and refined while on tour breaks in montpellier, barcelona and tokyo. the energy of these cities is definitely at work in these recordings, which also features a french connection of experimental heavy hitters: witxes, frédéric d. oberland and philippe petit have helped round out dumais and leblanc’ arsenal. fiat lux: let there be light, from light will come darkness.

trumpeter/ composer sefi zisling incorporates afro-jazz with psychedelic funk in this new solo project. sefi is known as the top trumpeter of tel aviv jazz & funk scene. while still attending high school, sefi performed with various funk and groove acts, laying the foundations for many more musical encounters and fruitful collaborations with other members of the ever-growing tel aviv music scene. sefi performed with bands such as the ramirez brothers, kutiman orchestra, funknstein, gili yalo, and many more. today, after fifteen years of recording and performing all over the world alongside almost everyone within the israeli music scene, sefi is taking a step forward to release his debut solo album.

supérieur goes for round two after its relaunch in autumn last year. some of you might be surprised that we re breaking up with the single release concept of having one original and one remix, but we believe the time has come to do so. supérieur will be more independent in the future, with an own artist roaster and also with a different sound than the one deliver with connaisseur. this release is by the highly respected south german producer and dj hans thalau, partisan of the techno soul approach, which was celebrated for years by russ gabriel and his ferox recordings crew. it comes as no suprise that hans and russ are friends. hans -soul adventure ep- is a timeless affair. three tracks full of emotional deepness and classiness, and probably thal communications mastermind best works so far. we re rather proud to be able to release these tunes, as they do strike our chord exactly.

this is kollaps first full length album after having gained recognition from releasing vinyl only excursions on grade10 records and remixing work for darkstar on warp records. the record has been pressed on to 180 gram vinyl and is has been mastered at star delta. the album comes with a full colour glossy sleeve and centre labels which reflect the music within. they have had their music played by benji b as well as radio 6 and other more underground radio stations. their last release on grade10 got great reviews in the fader, who said i rarely have the occasion to use the word magnificent, but the releases a-sidean epic 7-minute number titled misery has squeezed all the other words out of my head.
