here is the debut release from the new label losers with attitude, a four track compilation we have nothing left to lose-that demonstrates the range of sounds you can expect from us in coming releases. the label is the brain child of aleksey ageyev, a successful la based film and tv producer in who was born in moscow before moving to nyc at age of 16. he has teamed up with his old friend jason szostek of serotonin/schmer records to explore the electronic sounds that emanate from the dmz between house and techno. alexi delano needs no introduction as part of the swedish techno mafia that took over new york techno scene in the 90s delano has been pumping out tracks that have keep dancefloors moving world wide. delano brings his awesome sense of groove to the opening track a.l.n. mike bryant is a well known dj in the new york city underground since he came from the midwest in the mid 90s. he s the label head for intrinsic design. with his a new low moniker he sets out on a dark and soulful journey in sound. lwa labelhead and prototype 909 member jason bpmf szoste s starts side b with a sprawling chill soundscape sunrise on mars from his abide the glide series of digital releases. legendary russian electronic music pioneer anton kubikov is famous for his acid adventures in scsi 9, his label pro-tez records and randomart store in prague. here he has given us a moody acid groove named we have a bridge to close out the compilation.

dys functional electronic music is a compilation release from repitch recordings, celebrating the label’s first five years. its ambivalent title aims to represent the sonic behaviour of its content, often deviating from norms or distancing itself from common club functionalism. for this release, the 3 repitch masterminds ascion, d. carbone and shapednoise are joined by a selection of the artists who contributed shaping the repitch sound throughout the years, along with guests that inspired them in this adventure. during the past 5 years the main focus of the label was to set up a platform for experimentations across the dancefloor canon, establishing a standout musical identity. a spirit that resonates within each artist’s personal approach: from ascion’s dark breakbeats to the exaltics and and’s acid frontalism, shapednoise’s brooding noise, sote’s fractured rave, d. carbone and gaja’s intrusions into melody, pinch and the zenker brothers’ dub-infused atmospherics, skudge’s love of gloom and nuel’s idm-ish minimalism

so kam die postmoderne über uns und machte aus vormals ehrbaren kulturschaffenden werksarbeiter, denen alle schrauben abhanden gekommen schienen, im besten fall. mit minimaler eigenleistung (nimmt man die unbeabsichtigten fehler in der produktion mal aus), aber bei maximaler entgleisung entstand ein gänzlich neuer berufszweig. der grundsolide werksarbeiter, mit gema anmeldung im griff und guten draht zu seinem steuerberater. um die quietschfidelen arpeggio terroristen soll es heute mal nicht gehen. unsere protagonisten dieser geschichte sind andere. wahnwitzige, soziophobiker, menschen mit gebrochenen lebensläufen statt joghurt im rucksack, emsig agierende mitstreiter mit tupperdose in der tasche für die frühstückspause, willens den kampf der letzten kulturoffensive zu ende zu bringen, samplen, pitchen, alles zerhacken und zu undefinierbaren fetzen von funk wieder zusammensetzen. ausgeglichen vom duft der natur ankommend den fortschritt definieren wollen und den strom in die maschinen juckeln. Ästheten der fehler waren geboren. losgelöst vom fließband. hart & tief wird geackert geschwitzt, gebimmelt, der filter aufgedreht, der schmutz schaufelweise rangekarrt, bis die stufe der erlösung erreicht wird oder eben halt auch nicht. das leben ist nun mal kein einziger orgasmus und der funk entsteht in den pausen wie die befriedigung der gier und der besitz des moments, weil das leben ist doch nur ein wimpernschlag und wir immer nur einen abgrund entfernt von weltekel oder erlösung.

berlin-based marlon hoffstadt drops coach mike, the fourth ep on his own retrograde imprint, featuring remixes from massimiliano pagliara and the friend and following a hat trick of successful releases. the four-track ep is the sophomore release from hoffstadt on his burgeoning label, which he co-founded with natureboy gold and matteo luis in august 2015. previously featuring the likes of kris wadsworth and tuff city kids, retrograde provides a platform for the artists to explore music alongside other forms of expression such as art, particularly surrealism.
