adriatique is back with their second release on diynamic. again the two talented producers from switzerland created a really impressive ep that seems to fit just perfect for the upcoming summer! the opening track,deeper love, really sets the direction of the whole ep and will make you fall in love with it! a really nice and warm synthesizer combined with that catchy deeper love vocal and a funky picked guitar makes this tune unique. the second track by your side first of all persuades with that coltish sequenzer baseline. after the first break the tune unfolds its whole power. its again the nice combination of a deep, down pitched vocal, funky bended chords and a great synthie line that works just excellent together. a great one for the dancefloor! with motions, the third and title track of the new ep, adriatique deliver another harmonic tune that goes under the skin. its the slowest track on the ep. massive bass tones, groovy shuffled hihats and a deep, repetetive vocal loop result in a wonderful, warm track. the fourth and last track body moving brings the ep to an good end. with a nice vocoder voice the tune gets a touch of the 80s sound. and again a bouncy baseline delivers this special groove and guarantees to shake the floor.

kormacs latest release for scribble records sees him teaming up with old pal mc little tee for the ska driven >superhero< while the guitar and string laden >another screen< is a collaboration with literary great irvine welsh (trainspotting, the acid house, skagboys). >another screen< came about when kormac turned up on welshs edinburgh doorstep with the track written especially for him. rather than take out a restraining order the generous author took him in, fed and watered him and sent him home with the track complete. the result is a double header of contrasting styles that prove kormac is on a creative high.

as ajello say:the idea for a cover version of n.o.i.a.s looking for love was born a couple of years ago - an idea of alessandro piatto, younger brother of davide piatto, original member of n.o.i.a. as soon as alessandro proposed it,we asked whether we could have the original tracks but, unfortunately,they have been lost over the years.immediately his brother davide brought together the original lineup of n.o.i.a.and locked them up in the studio to record the voice from scratch and some of the synth parts. our intervention was first on the drums, replacing the original for a more uptempo beat, and then the bassline, shaping it to a more modern sound. the vocals were treated with filters and echoes,and we also added some new guitar parts and synth lines. it was an honour to us, ajello, to bring to light an italo-disco classic that has really influenced us and we have put all our efforts to create a version that is timeless, as much as the original.

stryker matthews is a new york city based producer and dj by way of northern california by way of southern california. drawing influences from most of the continents with people living on them, he works to create rhythmically focused music that moves hips and spills drinks. stryker grew up in san juan capistrano, ca playing guitar and drums in a string of bands who mastered the fine art of garage-based rocking before moving to the bay area and finding an interest in club music as a new class of producers with fresh takes on dance production began to flood the world wide web. upon completing his first set of original tracks, he caught the ear of dubstep pioneer, skream, who signed the tunes to his imprint, disfigured dubz.

what we have here is an album which is, if i may say, relatively positive and generally good for home listening. this album was recorded in about 10 weeks in a living room (the sofa being my bed), with restless swollen eyes at dusk and a love/hate relation with my machines, microphone and electric guitar.3 machines gave up on me during the making of this lp.i hope you will like it. tolga.

transmissions from the cyber dance imprint have been sporadic since its inception in 2005, but when they arrive they are always something very special indeed. ostensibly one of italo discos great lost producers, we suspect that bandidos gang may well be a nom de plume for one of the labels many associates. whatever their provenance, the tracks certainly sound like vintage italo, with >marinche< leading with a pulsating bass arpeggio and synth horn melody worthy of moroder, whilst the flemming dalum & steen gjerulff remix adds layers of vocoder and a variety of cosmic accents to its sturdy frame. >last train to tucamari< meanwhile takes a more languid approach, pulling in an opposite direction to the speeding train samples, whilst flemming dalum & mike saltas remix adds some guitar licks, hazy synth atmospherics and even a flute solo which just adds to the classic italo feel.

candy land is dj pi-ges first solo release from arpa records. it follows on from his previous collaboration with mathias kaden as unit mathi midori& pi-ge who released the konomama ep on raummusik the ep gained critical acclaim, especially for the inspiring remixes by reboot and maayan nidam. “candy land( original mix) - track one is a minimal track structured with profound bass, crunchy guitar samples and simple rhythm, peppered with minimalistic voice samples, it features a high impact breakdown. on the track 2 is a remix by christian burkhardt, one of the most remarkable producers at the moment and his tracks have been released various leading labels such as raum…musik, oslo, and cocoon to name a few. his remix fuses the characters of the original track with a unique new school rhythm and groove. on the 3rd track is deep and dark remix by dj sodeyama, label honcho of arpa records. this remix form an extended journey of over 10mins with a deep and dark introduction thats combined with experimental sounds as the track builds. all in all a great package for djs of deep house, tech house and techno.
