every friday hugg & pepp sits down to have their mid day break after having a sturdy lunch at the partymakers. pepp is usually not late to suggest that something sweet should be consumed during this time in order to get inspiration and joy. hugg, who is also known for his sense of culinary experiences sometimes surprises pepp with exciting creations from all corners of the world. this particular friday, the team has choosen the mormors hosta, a typical swedish bread in wich a special yellow fudge, the hosta, can be found in the middle of this delicious bakery dedicated to our beloved grandmother. pepp, who is specially found of the hosta, also suggested that the two would make a tribute to grandfather so they wrapped the mormorshosta in a farfarskofta into a roll, then split it in half and feasted on this magnificent little piece in a cheerful mood. after this, filled up and satisfied they returned to their mystery machine and started to feed it with this new recepie. at first the machine returned some strange messages but after correcting the proportions between the amount of hosta and bread the machine successfully coughed up a banging bassline.

although berlin based dj woody has long been a member of the gigolo crew, having the honor to play at some legendary gigolo nights, this is woodys first solo release for gigolo. and what a fine entry onto the gigolo-scene it is: sure to get people in the know talking... and dancing! woody is the original sonic funkateer whose life is completely focussed on music and his very own definition of funk. hes a genuine kind of a guy, needing nothing more than two turntables, a mixer and an audience to know hes alive. for him djing and making music is not just a job, its his destiny. just one listen to a track like august and you know how much painstaking attention to detail, and love, has been poured into the production of these tracks. august is a cerebral sounding track that will lift you to another level. a version of august is featured on the double cd 10 years anniversary compilation gigolos cd 10 (gigolo210) selected by gigolo boss hell. booty bar is another pumping and raunchy tune thats guaranteed to get that ass shakin. its and slammin beats and funky, almost jazzy, synths licks plus the sexy vocal samples gives this number a succinctly gigolo feel to it. with songs like this, its no wonder that woody is one of the most respected german djs on the international scene

as we found this fabolous track from bruce lenkei, we couldnt believe that this was not an original from the cosmic era, instead it is a new production. this track immediately came on to us very strong with its magic sounds and the great atmosphere, which describes the title best. after we included the moonlightzombiedance into our mix for the d.i.r.t.y soundsystem from paris, we got crazy feedback from around the globe and so we decided to put it on wax. on the remix duties we have the hot talented michoacan, who earned himself a very good reputation with 12inches on labels like bear enterainment, grayhound recordings, tiny sticks and lektroluv under his belt. most recently he also got remixed by the almighty dj harvey and the glimmers. he speeded the tempo of the original way up and transformes it into a crazy krautrock stepper in the vain of goblin. it makes the people dance like zombies on speed - we experienced :). if you dig the zombiezombie stuff you will love this one.
