a work 12 months in the making, adam beyer continues his exciting series of collaborative eps, teaming up with heavy-hitters pig&dan for an multi-faceted four-tracker. chances are up if you spied adam beyer in an airport departure lounge over the past 12 months, he d have his head buried in his laptop, immersed in creating sound sketches. a long-time fan of collaborations, the drumcode chief has been on an inspiring streak of form lately, teaming up with the likes of mark reeve, dense & pika and now pig&dan. the results have been compelling, to say the least. in trademark perfectionist beyer style, the title track capsule - a shimmering slice of techno - involved -around 15 different versions- the track rigorously road tested by the swede and featured in episodes of drumcode radio to test dancefloor reactions, before finally getting the sign off.

much may have changed over a two-decade period, but drumcodes commitment to releasing the scenes most cutting-edge and refined techno remains resolute.

etruria beats prodigy dast is back with a four tracker ep named haradon the main title starts with an energic modular sound arpeggiated joined by a magic groove. the remix of kevin de vries, confirms his sound, stated with eternity released on drumcode. the second original track ixor is a maximum expression of the roland 909 and power house melody. pig & dan remix is characterized by a voice that makes the track super hypnotic and explosive

finally this great techno label is going black gold. the imprint from los angeles is starting with a best of series called warehouse series and it is what it is: techno - dark, dusty, loud and hard.

when pig&dan decided to join forces, they began a truly prolific production schedule establishing their reputation as producers of pulsating electronic music that straddled dark house and high-energy techno, whilst creating their signature style of twisted and experimental breakdowns. since those early days, they have created a repertoire that not many can match and have constantly been releasing their music on the most respected labels and playing at the best events worldwide. pig & dan make their entrance to drumcode with a full force, four track ep. the mexico ep encapsulates pig & dan s well known signature sound with each of the four tracks bringing their own identity to the release. the tracks, laced with driving kick drums, modulated samples and thumping bass lines, come together to create a heavy yet dynamic ep that prove pig&dan are masters of their craft.

the acronym lfo is normally used for >light fuel oil<, but what robert stolt presents with his new release is truly nutritious fuel for the dancefloor. >beyond lfo< developed a groove like chiseled, massive, overwhelming, heated up and extremely intense. a track that could easily run more and more and leaves you breathless and speechless as soon as the last bass drum is faded away. two remixes come from the feather of the well-known pig & dan guys. a steppin and ever-shifting rhythm is the foundation on which a swinging guitar melody unfolds their poignant effect and transform force into playful clarity. a suitable outdoor summer hit. in their second version, the melodic superstructure is purified rigorously, the residual remain compacted and the driving rhythmic moment dressed in a hypnotic dub garb. the clearly breaks infected track >monster< is inspired by the aesthetics of american b-movie monster movies from the 50s. varying, cinematic sound cascades and these wonderful bleeps over all have a direct path into the heads own sound cinema.

achtung, warning, balushi is out with two new techno bombs for the summer. on the a side let me be myself is a deep aquatic adventure with a huge basline chugging along. there are some deep dark underwater effects and vocal snippets which develop into a deep stabby groove that hypnotizes anyone listening to the track. there is then a break with a beautiful vocal derived from the snippets that refreshes the listener and takes them into another dimension before bringing them back into the heavy hipnotic groove. on the aa side we have the path one hell of a tecno crossover designed to electrify and rock summer crowds all globally...with a funky meaty bassline that rolls on and perfectly complements both rasta vocals and crazy electronic synths and squelches the path is a fat groove to look out for on the hottest dancefloors...

their first release after the massive lp on cocoon recordings ! big one! pig&dan have been away with their heads in the clouds working out a new way to make our minds twist. they have finally delivered the new remedy that will enhance our sonic listening systems to the maximum. >magic valley< which is named after the valley in which their studio is situated in, is a full on deep pumping journey, that includes spooky samples of the ambience thats surrounds them. you can pick up the birds and horses amongst the melodies and pumping grinding beats. techno meets nature all together a great feel good factor and fulfillment of the senses.

its now pig&dans turn to release the next big thing in the cocoon recordings universe. their electronic house sound – closer to techno than to guy gerbers deep house as regards content – is a perfect image of what is happening on the planet s dancefloors. trippy and driving electronic beats which are never flamboyant are combined with filigree basslines, giant spherical spaces and weird sounds in long sophisticated arrangements: modern minimal house with a good share of techno.
