on brothers in loves first release, max k. gets right down to business introducing himself and this family project: booming kick drums, thumping toms side by side with sharp hi-hats and staccato claps. machine grooves with sounds as raw as the musical approach of the artist. >losing your cool< builds on a massive kick drum, with a tom groove shuffling the track. it develops into a late summer bloom, which is over as fast as this years berlin summer was – with piercing percussion to remind you that winter is already here! >overdrive<, the first track on the flip, starts as a heavy slow groover with thumping kick, crashing snare and acidic synth lines until a punishing hook enters knocking you upside the head. the second track on the b-side, >indulgence< comes disguised as a stepper with a raw, pulsating analog bass line, but reaches its apex with a whirling synth lead on top of a vocal that could never be classified as your ordinary preachapella.

soundway continue their journey into colombia with this limited edition 45 featuring two bolts of colombian dancefloor thunder. both songs were originally released on the legendary discos tropical label and are re-issued here for the first time out of south america.!side a features a version of the party standard ‘tequila’ by orquesta tropicana. blaring horns, hand claps and shouts for tequila combine for a latin dancefloor classic. side b is a version of the legendary fania salsa track ‘lluvia con nieve’ that was originally released in 1964 on the new york label. sonora tropical re-recorded the track for discos tropical and has remained unavailable outside of colombia until now.

sk 011, 444, centralbron, midsummer night, babar, russian folksong, carbon oxide, i love water, all those brilliant tiga productions... we really don t know what else to say - just try to imagine the history and future of this dance music thing we re all involved in without jesper dahlback... nah, rather not, right? being part of jespers discography is the greatest thing that has happened to studio barnhus up until now and these two tracks, fransson and dx2 rmx, are up there with all those previously mentioned masterpieces. fransson is a freaky, windowlicker-esque jam while dx2 rmx is a dance floor burner which perfectly balances melancholia with joy.

an energetic club jam featuring vocals by nomi ruiz (jessica 6, hercules & the love affair). red hot remixes from ian pooley, eli himself, dj sneak and cosmic kids. great feedback online for eli’s remix ( eli’s re-work ) with the other tracks unavailable until now.

cobblestone jazz are back after the highly successful memories ep with their second installment in the series. on the a side, we find the spaced-out zero-gravity jam lunar lander - its sparse and jittery beats complimented by some sweet key stabs and a thick and burly analogue bassline. flip it over for your life (you re life) - an uptempo slugfest of crunchy beats and a driving bassline that wont quit. as always, both tunes were recorded live in studio and have been culled and edited for your mixing pleasure (a side duties performed by tyger dhula while the flip was done by danuel tate). stay tuned for the next installment, and, until then, enjoy!

thomas hesslers ep is the first player through crepuscular shafts & sonic subways.. beware the trail. first track - lost - cements you into a vacuum of suffocating synths that precede a poundin kick.. you are propelled into a tunnel. the bridge of the track is a course in restraint, giving way to menacing drive & looping side sticks.. siren like washes takes hold, swirling & disorientating the listener. on the flip, - 12 channel madness - best conveys the tone and atmosphere of the release. the murky darkness & pace feels inhuman to the core, but not without infectious rhythm breakdowns with flavors of old & nu skool shuffle timbres. these tracks are also - tools - that do not sacrifice on complexity. the haunting synth washes carry us through but offer no comfort. insanity & intensity reaches catharsis but never overpowers the overall mix. - berlin movement - is the final track on the ep that affirms you are still inside the tunnel. the incisive hook lines impel you to find your way out. the kick is more subdued forcing you to go with the melody until the break & bridge lapses back & the restraint builds to hypnotic frenzy. a dry, howling wind prevails.. filtered and distorted. thomas hessler succeeds in taking us through his tunnel of contradictions: alluring, menacing, emotional yet coldly detached. listen up: you might not escape !

this is the virgin record on downfall theory, a new st petersburg imprint serving as the creative outlet for the persuasions and productions of discerning dance music sanys etiku. side a is a full-on entanglement of sandy synths, cell-block stabs, a murderous midpoint bassline and hats slammed through a sieve. this track will twist your face played on a real system, even if you don’t realize it happened until you see the party pics posted online. b is a solid brick of overpowering percussion pressed into an intoxicating terrine of implied melody so irresistible you will eat it raw. no mistake here. these are ensanguined techno tracks built for barbaric djs simply looking to smash your face.

approaching the end of the year, pole presents another spacey and heavy bass 12 inch. two melancholic, quiet tracks full of crackles and endless space, made for this winter. it seems that the warmth of these two tracks is glancing around a corner of a cold urban wall, just to say:s-o-o-n, and it will be summer again.in contrast to the first 12 inch waldgeschichten, with its use of full chords, this new production is marked by its use of spaces, which seems to expand until they collapse and enfold the listener. this is the second 12 inch by pole, one of a new series of releases which will end in a cd release in 2012.

over two years ago already, we were announcing andres zaccos first ep on airdrop. the >seated hopping ep< had been sent to us by andres best friend, none other than el senor franco cinelli. needless to say, we fell in love with the subtlety of his music. fast forward until today and be prepared to be blown away by how much zaccos musical refinement has developed. swayzaks brun listened to the first sketches of this ep and immediately decided to give a go to the main track. the result is a conceptual treatment that reflects the advanced maturity of the swayzak sound, deep inspiration to most, if not all.

the outside agency and sei2ure had never collaborated until this release, and in retrospect they were most likely doing the world a favor. the simple reason for this is that the two monsters theyre letting loose upon the world on this release can only be described as extremely dangerous. the outside agencys signature hard-hitting kicks and drum & bass percussion combine with sei2ures hard-hitting everything to provide weaponry for the next two millennia. this is definitely one of the most hardcore releases on one seven five thusfar. guaranteed to work on any dancefloor it finds in its path as per usual. no negotiating. no hostages.
