b-stock! cover with bent corner. vinyl unaffected and mint. the protagonist of this extended longplayer is the remarkable falke. he is the unseen hermit of the clan and arrested the labels attention due the things he does best: sitting at home collecting cheap ancient technology and creating his own artistic universe, influenced by his distinct sense for the simplistic beauty in everyday life. after two records and several compilation contributions, the label collected ten tracks to introduce his own extensive world properly. post-socialistic aesthetic detects 90s electronica to merge into a careless version of house.

psychedelic deep soul of the highest order, symphonic four was a st louis based band (as was the original label zudan). word is the record was recorded in detroit, and the backing band was made up of some members of parliament/funkadelic which would make a lot of sense. a long time spin for deep soul head but deserving of a wider audience and that why we could not resist to pull this one from the now again catalogue, 500 copies only.
after numerous features and collaborations obenewa, kaidi tatham and dego combine together to form blacks & blues.three song based dance tracks to fill the void of underground vocal club music. spin is flavoured with s.a house & afrobeatz whilst obenewa sings about the wonder that is love. you know the feeling moves towards the funk that is synonymous with 2000black and dont know why (chant for love) is purely the marriage between reggae and jazz.
placebo are still brimming with new ideas. recorded over three months by producer dave bottrill (chosen by the band largely because of his work with tool) in his toronto studio and mixed in london by my bloody valentine, smashing pumpkins and nine inch nails supremo alan moulder, placebos sixth album is a startling, alive, vital and boundary vaulting record that marks a whole new era for a band that were in need of a change.
the not-particularly mysterious bristol / manchester duo yung bingles & lil chimpz combine again on two strictly limited vinyl only grime / jungle anthems, both tested around the world in the most demanding raves on road. on the mango side, a joy orbison classic gets mashed up with the classic devil mix of east connection s early grime anthem we re ready in a junglist style and fashion, while on the sceptre side, i don t know why man s calling me family is the question being asked rhetorically at 170bpm. support from everyone basically
the thibideau brothers were a big source of inspiration for us in the last two decades, so we feel deeply honoured that mark also accepted the invitation to join the label. his love and mastery for analogue and hardware synthesizers led to a feature in the famous documentary >i dream of wires<, alongside matt. however this is one of the most important reasons why his sound is so mature and deeply touching. on the first side we have a punchy deep house track that effortlessy blends the synth bass with melodious dream elements. flip the record and dive deep with the wonderfully spacey chords from blue rose dub.
secret circuits eddie ruscha and rub n tugs thomas bullock joined forces as laughing light of plenty for an ep back in 2008, and followed it up with an album on whatever we want records in 2010 which largely got lost in a warehouse stock malfunction. now emotional response are doing the right thing and giving the record a second airing under the duos alternative alias the naturals, and it s not hard to see why they wanted to do the reissue. loose and funky, but also deliriously psychedelic and indebted to the 1970s golden era of songwriting, this is a quintessential emotional record if ever we heard one.
(ltd warehouse find) - limited edition picture disc featuring the classic bronski beat hit ‘smalltown boy’. includes remixes of ‘smalltown boy’ and ‘why?’ previously unavailable on vinyl.
