das album -100%- war längere zeit nicht zu haben. weder auf cd noch digital. die songs sind neu gemastert. die songs sind dieselben, es gibt keine neuen songs oder sonstiges bonusmaterial, einzig beim sound wird man ein paar unterschiede feststellen. den remastering-prozess hat eike freese gemacht. eike freese hat in den letzten 15 jahren an mehr als 170 veröffentlichungen mitgewirkt, darunter auch an alben und dvds von deep purple, saga, apocalyptica, gamma ray, eisbrecher, oomph!, heaven shall burn, callejon, uvm. für seine arbeiten an deep purples -now what?!- the live tapes- und eisbrechers -die hölle muss warten- wurde eike freese mit jeweils einer goldenen schallplatte ausgezeichnet. außerdem wird er mitverantwortlich für das kommende album sein. aber dazu mehr zu seiner zeit. das gesamte artwork wurde überarbeitet. die band ist immer wieder ergriffen über das, was die fans zurückgeben. originally released in a limited edition of 500 copies in 1982 monoton’s second album ‘monotonprodukt 07’ is now a collector item and also one of the most important album of all-time. it has been voted one of the 100 best records by highly influential uk magazine the wire. monoton was founded in 1979 by hypermedia wizard konrad becker as an art project that underwent various transformations and collaborations in its exploration of psycho-active sound. a pioneer in experimental electronic music, becker continued to break new ground in electronic media. monotonprodukt 07 has been reissued on vinyl by desire (and is still available as a double picture-discs limited to 500 copies. it’s the first time ever that tracks from the album are remixed and desire is proud to had such great artists/producers as us prositutes, svengalighost with fellow partner and l.i.e.s. boss and hospital productions artist ron morelli. the last remix is the work of great mancunian duo rainer veil (modern love). an incredible remix package that do justice to this classic album ! mastered by matt colton at alchemy.
