desolat are proud to present basti grub. basti is a young talented german producer and label owner from the vibrant frankfurt area. his musical journey begins at the age of 14 with a birthday present - an roland mc303 - and since then basti grub shapes his musical vision day and night. he regularly sent beats and tracks to dice who tested them on the road. after a while we had a collection of tracks for a nice 12inch and we simply had to share this music with you: modern groovin house with influences from all over the place. the 12inch comes on colored vinyl with fine artwork by our man florian pohl and will remain a collectors item.

here we have a double a-side 12-inch, with an intriguing new development of the secondo sound. still banging, still aimed at the club but with a sense of maturity and laid-backness, that the previous secondo material for dreck records might not have been centred around. the whole outlook has become more house orientated and we are very excited about this new mixture of the secondo splice-funk with the steadiness of early 90s house generating its own idiosyncratic sound. on the a-side, i think im gonna likeestablishes the housey mood of the 12straight off. a brief vocal sample is dotted over a relaxed rhythm until a break mid-track introduces the second half to its full extent and bloom. ædoktor panglosson the b-side continues with the mid-tempo flavour set out by the aside and is defined by a steady build up towards a disco sample beautifully placed towards the end of the track, where a heavy bass line cuts short the euphoria of disco strings. the sampling and references in both tracks have been pushed to the background and mentioning any of them would not do this exciting new material any justice. its all fresh!

the droids beamed down to planet earth in the year 1978. yves hayat aka droids, was a young label manager at the seminal french disco label barclay in the seventies. >star peace<, originally released in 1979 is his concept to the classic sci fi movie >star wars< out that year. featuring the french space synth classic >(do you have) the force<, in both parts, this lp goes from strength to strength with spaced out lullabys >inner space< & >tchough fou<, before kicking back into the groove with >be happy< an assault to the senses with its manic synth lines running riot over heavy funk overtones. the flip kicks off with >shanti dance< parts 1 & 2, sleezy robot-funk work outs that are inter-joined to make a 6 minute continually evolving piece of music. the closing eight-and-a-half- minute >renaissance de l amour< is a tour de force of cinematic synthscapes, bleeps, bloops and world rhythms, before dropping in the drums 6 minutes in to ignite any dancefloor. this is light years ahead of its time.

the italian dynamic duo is back on the trail with part 2 of their set of soul house grooves. souldynamic teamed up with lt ‘the voice’ brown and deliver with ‘body music’ a massive ‘feelgood’ release with lt in top form and a very funky beat and bassline..

we finally did it: we proudly present to you our very first vinyl by none other than mr. sean oneil aka someone else, the mastermind behind foundsound records! known for his awesome releases on various labels and for filling dancefloors all over the world, he delivers a cool club track called >zebra talk<. driven by a heavy, minimal beat, this track offers freaky vocal lines, spooky breaks and enough tension to keep the crowd moving. we also provide you with some great remixes: the first one by miskate is a more deconstructed approach to the original track, featuring loads of percussion and neatly arranged breaks, surrounded by massive reverb. the second remix is by the argentinian producer omar salgado. a groovy new bassline and full of deep variation, this moves the track into a different direction.

the phenomenal handclap band out of nyc dropped a brilliant debut album last year and first single >15 to 20< was a stand out track. hector works label founder anthony mansfield got the opportunity to remix the track and was so into the tune that he rinsed two versions. while these versions got widespread exposure and distribution from both friendly fire and gomma, anthonys remixes were until now digital only. we want our records! the disco mix is a slower funk version using the catchy vocals over a helping of sweet disco dubûthe punk funk mix uses all the elements of the track and points it for a dance floor!

chris is very happy that his long term friend adam beyer from sweden, who runs the drumcode and truesoul labels (as most of you may know), has contribute to the 10 year anniversary label compilation. chris said >he managed to give me an amazing track that i have already been playing up and down since probably the beginning of last summer<. you have to know that most of these tracks have been collected over a period of at least the last six months. this one from adam is called >antistius< not only is chris out for having international artists on this compilation but also his home base in frankfurt equally has some amazing artists to offer. this track on the b-side is by clr artist and mastering engineer brian sanhaji who has also recently released his album on the label. his contribution to 10 years of clr is pretty phat. this one is called >higgs< and chris had already been playing it, all over the place, with amazing responses.

who said the wait wouldnt be worth it? the brothers in house fritz zander and sven von thülen have made themselves somewhat scarce over the past year. after having impressed in 2008 with their ep >get up<, remixes for artists including ratman, elphine and oorsprong, and tracks on the watergate 02 compilation, their audible activities the following year remained confined to fritz zanders superb 12 inch >connection< and successful compilation appearances on >ten years cocoon ibiza< and >time warp<. now there is finally something new, and the current zander vt release certainly lives up to the promise of its title: >some more< picks up where >get up< left off. its fourno-frills house pearls prove resoundingly that continuity doesnt have to entail standing still.

neurotic drum bands monster opus, >robotic hypnotic adventure<, was ubiquitous this past winter, hammered the world over by a broad range of discerning djs. we felt it was only right to give it the remix treatment, and came up trumps with three most excellent takes on this anthem from three most excellent producers hailing from right here in new york - abe duque, harkin & raney and runaway.

over the last two years, ahmet sisman has become one of the most interesting newcomers within the german techno scene. his music is located at the junction between turkish roots and western post-modernism, but still always succeeds in orchestrating the dark energy of the night, too.

datenzauber is electronic dance music following the traces of krautrock-electronica. datenzauber is a crossing of 1/8-bass rock beat and shuffle romanticism with a minimalist disco feeling. datenzauber takes kraftwerks and klaus schulzes analogue soundscapes over the digital highway back on to the dancefloor again. datenzauber commutes in an electric car between cologne and dusseldorf. datenzauber has fun with the necessary seriousness. datenzauber is free of sampling residues, yet nevertheless its historicising, because datenzauber is non-retro, electronic music feeling from the 1970s for 2010. happy new year.

we are proud to have discovered a new artist for traum who will boost the cinematic and electronic side of the label. the debut sees a sound evolving with thomas bjerring that is emotionally deep to the heart, masterfully produced and unique. the a-side >stratus< moves like fog over woods and landscapes. it is rich and mighty in texture but light as well. it is somehow detached and at the same time very touching... a master piece of techno.

the name says it all. dettmann is the debut long player of berghains resident dj, producer and remixer marcel dettmann - and what an album it is. intrinsically tied to the myth that is berghain by now, the attached label ostgut ton and at the same time with the regeneration of no-frill, cleansed and powerful electronic music, marcel dettmann managed a daring feat: the production of a truly absorbing and veritable techno album. framed by >quasi< and >taris< as intro respectively outro, spread out over ten tracks, dettmann transports the raw energy, the rough aesthetics and the simple grace of techno.

the latest addition to the miasmah roster is oslo based musician fns aka fredrik ness sevendal. a veteran of the oslo experimental scene, sevendal has been associated with several bands over the years: del, slowburn and kobi. additionally his previous work has involved collaborations with makoto kawabata (acid mothers temple), mitsuru tabata (zeni geva, marble sheep), mark francombe (ex-cranes guitarist), and bill wood (1/3 octave band).

finger #5 is here to complete the first hand! electric g delivers an irresistible groove which sneaks directly into the bones and starts to move bodies from within. as soon as the break arrives its goosepimples all over and the hands will rise from invisible strings. dancefloor magic!

the mole is back on musique risquée with his 3rd ep to date called dreamer keep on dreaming. each track on this record is a story about dreams. dreamer is this weird one you cant get rid of, the with the annoying voice following you around everywhere. oh my stomach is the mysterious black & white dream, with cigar reek and bad whiskey breath. last ditch is the action packed one, with its car chase and the usual neverending sex scene at the end. and usually after, you wake up and the record is over.

the hot utensil imprint drops more bombs with this heavy electronic house jazzer from rithma. very similar to his >nobodys sleeping< on om, >we rock n roll< features catchy vocals and some jazzy instrumentation. meanwhile seattles jacob london tear it up with a wacked-out cut-up remix that just goes way over the top, and justin martin and sammy d throw somemore buzzing bleepy flavor in the mix with their dub.

nice price deal !!! idiot is already something of a hit with those whove heard it being played out, combining hard soca drums with lush ecstatic melodic synth harmonies and a driving bass with a strange 8-bit melody that stumbles and trips around the rhythm. its completely alien at first, but potent enough to stick in your ears until you might catch yourself humming the refrain when you least expect it. a unique and fantastic combination of compelling contemporary sounds! altered natives, aka north london producer danny native, whose track >rass out< was one of 2009s best, takes over the b-side with a remix that seems to reflect 20 years of british house music back on itself. just using the bleeps from the original tune, he echoes and morphs his own melody over stepping dubby kicks and snares and a dark, driving bassline

manchesters finest pops up on the superb undertones label with a quality ep. getting props from all over! only killers no fillers
