it s been nearly 15 years since this originally hit the shelves, which literally took the immersive atmospheric sound of echospace and brought it right to the floor. with cv313 s -sailingstars- the spirit continues as they go on to preach the gospel of deep with a rippling exercise in space and bass. a sort of slow motion movement in tone and 38 hz sub frequency which nearly verges on the disturbing, a sonic threshold quite hard to achieve in a vinyl cut. the power of repetition and subtle atmosphere are clearly demonstrated here by bringing the listener to an almost hypnotic state within its melodic spatial grooves. the b side offers two immense reductions, equally effective providing a low end throb, analog spirit and organic textures captured in zero gravity, it s like truly sailing among the stars. lovingly remastered and mixed down from the original analog 1/4- reel to reel tape, strictly limited to 300 copies for the world.

love makes the world go around. “two”, the second album by the soul session, is full of love. ralph kiefer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and producer from south germany embarks on a stylistically diverse journey into soul, jazz, funk and world music. being a highly respected session musician in the jazz as well as the crossover scene, kiefer made a serious impact in 2011 with “one”, the first soul session album. “one” was built on a solid backbeat of soul, hip hop and funk, while “two” now takes a step further into a spiritual and eclectic dimension. “quantraversa” featuring the voice of las vegas based neo-soul queen georgia anne muldrow is the mind- blowing opener of this album, a truly deep and intense rhythmic statement. quantraversa is a word which you will not find in any dictionary, but that is not the point, says ralph kiefer. “this album is a journey to the inner self. the recording process was like meditation. i often started with a loop, or an idea for a melody. it evolved from there and i simply let it happen. when i involved the lyricists and vocalists, my drafts sometimes took a completely different paths and ended in something unexpected and beautifully new.” the double vinyl is housed in a gatefold sleeve with download code included.

through the years intacto records became a household name. the label was founded in amsterdam in 2004 under the collaborative genius of shinedoe and 2000 and one. it was launched as a platform for the by then strongly emerging amsterdam scene supporting a pack of local artists shaping a fresh distinctive sound which took over the electronic scene by storm. intactos defining sound included many styles and its catalogue is a melting pot of influences of which house and techno are the key elements. after running intacto records successfully for 14 years, shinedoe and 2000 and one have joined forces on their very first collaborative release. a ten year old unreleased 2000 and one track world of acid have been played out by shinedoe for years and received ecstatic feedback from the clubbing crowds. convincing him to release this timeless tune to scorch the dancefloors worldwide, shinedoe was inspired to do a remix. in return 2000 and one remixed her track acidploitation which she recently produced. acidploitation ep is the culmination of two dutch legends, defining their brilliant take on music once again

row goes back to a collecting of field recordings that hirsch took for oerol, an annual theatre festival taking place on the west frisian island of terschelling / nl. the recording was taken aboard the arad, a lifeboat of the dutch rowing team roeiteam ter- schelling recreatie during a training exercise on 25 april 2011. the course stretched from the harbour of west-terschelling out into the wadden sea and back again. the focus is on the coxswain’s commands which resemble a funk singer’s ones and which make the team become one body working their way through the waters.

the make mistakes gang returns with their second record in the form of remixes of roy england s techno rocker, photon. what you get here is a package of dance floor cuts showcasing the varied styles, and tastes of the crew, making this a versatile record that s gonna find a way to fit in where ever it s needed. on the a side we have a taste of attentat s signature sound: hypnotic, driving minimal techno. a slowly evolving meditation, this stripped down, pulsing jam will ignite the late night dance floor. an irrepressible tinkerer, roy england took the original, funked it up, worked it out, and streamlined it for peak time. in his remix, roy crafted a consummate party jam, steady, pumping, and full of life. with his remix, time for trees takes you on a psychedelic, housey frolic through the woods. what we have here is a slow building, mind-bending groove, wrapped up in cascading waterfalls of sound. the make mistakes label has built a diverse sound around a cohesive aesthetic. with the photon remixes, they continue that tradition, with style and depth, fine-tuned for dance floor lovers.

it took 2 years to finally release these reworks for the debut album by philogresz. taped wall of sound kinda drift from the cyclist aka buz ludzha complemented by zk bucket s straight on moody jam gives the ep a strained contrast. not to mention peak time euphoric philogresz remake of his own asakusa that is dedicated to the japanese eels in that neighborhood. gazing cutsz!

wade from hello records called mr. pc “detroit’s hardest working dj” about a year back, and the fruits of his labor shine through on this curious beatdown and jazz funk re-edit record. in his own words, “the scene doesn’t need another hand-stamped and numbered vinyl-only disco edit label, so i went ahead and took the proverbial razor and tape to some jazz-fusion-disco-not-disco tracks that influenced me coming up as a bass player, now fully capable for dj dance floor elevation.”

the supremes, the most commercially successful girl group in pop history, were one of the jewels in motown records artist stable. given wonderful material by motown s amazing songwriters, the group scored numerous number one pop hits, as did singer diana ross when she left the group and went solo, and motowns bright, modern, and uptown image as a label had a lot to do with the way these ladies gracefully and elegantly presented themselves and took over a song. two dozen of those number one hits, both as the supremes and as ross solo, are collected here, including the timeless classics *come see about me*, *you cant hurry love*, *you keep me hangin on* and *stop! in the name of love*. the album also features a bonus remix of *you keep me hangin on*.
