der erste track der ep ist ein prog-lastiges requiem, durchzogen von verzerrten synthies und einer perkussiven sanftheit, die dazu einlädt, direkt auf die tanzfläche zu gehen. die klangliche agilität von -wandt uncorked- wird von einer treibenden energie umrahmt, die nur noch mehr anschwillt, wenn man sich bewegt und schicht für schicht einen neuen rhythmus bietet. gottesfuß- bietet verträumte synthies mit anklängen an die underworld-Ära von -a hundred days off- und entwickelt sich zu einem ausufernden, sexy-verrückten fünfminütigen glücksgefühl. der zweite track von niklas baut sich mit einem vertrauten vibrato und einem gemütlichen bass auf und ist die perfekte kulisse für dancefloor-momente und verliebte feierabende. die b-seite der aktuellen ep von wandt gleitet durch alle nur denkbaren subaquatischen gefilde. geschmeidige breaks gehen gleichmäßig in unzählige unterwasser-drones und/oder außerirdische schreie über und bilden eine raffinierte klanglandschaft, die wandts fähigkeiten als perkussionist unterstreicht.

break out belgian house producer sjef wanders follows recent heavily supported appearances on new yorks nurvous records and 124 recordings with *dont front*, a two track 12 inch primed for club play on the deso records label. *dont front* is deep and dubby house music emboldened by banging low end and it is well complemented by a remix from label owner desos. the dane takes things deep in typical fashion, adding a little new jersey swing and flavour to proceedings.

wanda group, aka louis johnstone, is the latest artist to release a record with notown recordings. an artist who *creates beautiful, decayed landscapes of tape crackle, hiss and distortion* (the quietus), the music of wanda group is an other-worldly collage of sounds that touch on musique concrete and other forms of oblique, densely beautiful sounds.
