limited upfront promos, asante records are back with a massive new release. japanese touch is gracing our pages this week. yoshihisa hashimoto lived in new york for five years from 1998, immersing himself in nys underground house music scene. he still considers new york home but returned in 2003 to bring his new found style and music to tokyo. his ny influences have combined with his tokyo roots to creat e a unique style, guaranteed to keep the clubbers happy and into his music. yoshihisa is organising, promoting & djing at “,breath tokyo”, one of the best club nights in tokyo and leading tokyo under ground house music. the location is club air, one of the top clubs in japan. well known for an impressive back catalogue of worldwide artists and djs, air creates the perfect space for clubbers to lose themselves in the soulful music. its also arguably japans most famous club, thanks to the movie lost in translation

although only 23 years of age englishmen cris barratt is already considered one of the hottest new producers on the block. what makes him really special is his unique blend of sounds, which is not melodic house, minimal, tribal, rock electro or techno, but at the same time it is all of that. two tracks on this ep are the best reflection of chris >get maximal< approach: he builds the story slowly, upgrades the basic theme bit by bit, then weaves in another leading theme and spices the blend with unexpected small but effective element from the late 90s. the result of this blending is very rich, warm sound, perfect for the parties somewhere at the seaside. re-release
