magdalena s -elementum ep- is her first full ep on diynamic music. the 3-tracker marks the beginning of a busy summer season for her. the opening track -mountains of es cubells- pays tribute to ibiza s after party culture – which occurs in private houses that open when the clubs close, out in the warm air and sunlight, and a very intimate atmosphere. the protagonist s verdict -i think tonight i see ibiza like it was 25 years ago- sums it up perfectly. -nautilus- is a dreamy melodic house cut, ethereally swerving through a sea of hypnotic percussions and brassy synth elements.

solar phenomena are keeping up a busy and high quality release rate in 2018 with a fifth offering already. this one is a three tracker from stl, who already released his “if time would move backwards” ep on the label earlier in the year. the title track opens the account with blown out drums trudging along in ever changing patterns. swirling, lo-fi ambience adds scale to the track and encourages you to get lost in the middle of it all. “weed detective” is ten minutes of psyched-out and stripped back drum work at an inviting mid tempo. keys dance and heavily treated vocal sounds trip you out in slow motion. last of all, “scubbu babe” has finger clicks, bright and mild crazed keys and ad libbed vocal sounds all doing gymnastics round more of those trademark drums. once again, stl proves he operates in a world of his own.

this is the return of the collaborative project vofa, by sawf and anfs, on pi electronics. the athens based duo, that put out the label’s debut release, deliver another 4-tracker of their signature sound for the 5th pi record. pi05.1 is a bass line oriented composition of thrilling beauty, while pi05.2 and pi05.4 provide different takes on the main pi05 theme: one leaning closer to uk breaks influences and the other closer to industrial, hard hitting broken beats. pi05.3 offers a driving tool of distorted realities and tuning bass lines. all tracks showcase further focus on sound texture and dynamics balance, providing a perfect blend of sawf and anfs in joint forces as vofa.
