having previously reissued *i want you to know*, the 1991 gem from simonellis groove committee project, deep down slam now return with a remix package. leading the way is italian house producer nicholas in collaboration with marcoradi, with the original s vibe very much intact but complemented by some fresh new beats and arrangement. the second remix comes from french house producer dj steaw who brings the usual quality and gives the remix the classic steaw touch we re used to know. zurich based italian producer demetrio giannice conjures the spirit of vintage tom moulton on his remix and deep down slam have also included simonellis original bonus beats version from 1991 that was mastered by legendary nyc mastering engineer rick essig.

next up on visionquest is the second single from wareikas righteous and raw wternal album. all little things, here in its club mix incarnation, is another example of the trios hefty musicianship and unbridled eccentric energy, where jazzy textures and pulsating grooves build up with a rising melody to the powerful vocal drop. on the first remix visionquest & nikko gibler develop expansive piano melodies alongside an elasticated bassline and vocal snippets. fred p reigns over the b-side with his raw, deep hypnotic reshape and warmed up spirit dub. this is a distinctly diverse remix package from a rich artistic source.

journey through vivid sonic currents and states which might as well be regarded as rashims magnum opus: the 006 release on arr is a new height delivered as a mini album. the more basic and primal spirit of this release encapsulates rashims music in a way which makes total sense. bound over six tracks, they all display a different perspective of this dramatic colossus.

without need to mention his years of experience, classic german techno producer johannes heil arrives on figure spc with two classy dub techno movements, each shimmering and snaking over 20 minutes.

marcel vogels lumberjacks in hell welcome the disco master al kent into the fold with the two track yes i cant 12 inch. al kent is a true original. not interested in anything but disco. dying his hair in a truly unique fashion, to match the sparkle of disco balls and having recently hired an octopus to help him chop up those records. both *yes i do* and *cant stop* highlight the glaswegians importance to keeping the true spirit of disco alive, deftly and tightly edited in a manner that would impress messrs hardy and gibbons were they alive today.

time for another successful introduction to the off roster. meet the spirit of chi thanh, a berlin based multi talented beat wizard who brings us an outstanding debut ep. lets play starts out with infectious acoustic guitars that get in groove with a driving yet deep beat and bass combo.

hvnxx is one of the most special projects weve taken part in as a label. some months ago the xx and young turks asked our artists to remix tracks from coexist. it was a big honour and also a big responsi- bility, specially considering that the xx is one of our favourite bands. the outcome of such challenge is a four-track ep that showcases the sound of both well-established members of the hivern family, such as marc pinol and new jackson, and upcoming talents such as round and mistakes are ok. all four remixes are pretty different among them, but they all manage to maintain the distinctive spirit of the original songs in their own way. marc pinol takes fiction to the good ol days of chicago house, laying the original vocals on top of analog drum-machines and a rubbery bassline to that suggest an imaginary collaboration between adonis and oliver sim. the elusive mistakes are ok maintains the tropical vibe of reunion but provides a warped atmosphere combining breezy chimes with static haze and a propulsive bass that boosts the song towards the second part of the remix. hiverns latest signee round transforms the fragility of missing into a soothing house cut through uplifting organ chords and vigorous rhythms fulfilling dancefloor demands without loosing its melancholic character. finally, new jackson proves once again his knack with nocturnal ambiences flipping swept away into a sensuous deep-house gem guided by an absorbing piano and a slow but steady groove. the release comes in an embossed sleeve with artwork designed by arnau pi. hvnxx is a co-release with young turks.

back in 2005 whilst both working on an art exhibition, kirikoo des and walter mecca created nsdos. an act that is set to play its part in many projects across the music, dance, video and art spectrums. driven by a musically orientated hacking and diy spirit, nsdos are developing their live form where improvisation in sound is at the forefront, using a savant mixture of analog and traditional instruments.

yukazu, a band formed by lenuschka krueger and mike hermann, look to combine the charm of french chanson with gypsy balkan groove. the band was completed with the addition of rafaele castiglione who united the group like a kindred musical spirit. he reworked each track affectionately, telling his side of the story so you can look at it from a different angle.

first release on supalatino, a fantastic new 12 inch compilation of five hard-to-find floor-friendly latin flavoured club monsters brought to you by the people behind the respected supafrico imprint. kicking things off in style is the truly awesome >meu amigo blanco< from brazilian songstress marcia maria. originally released as an impossible-to-find lp track from 1978, this track on its own is worth the price of the 12inch but theres four equally brilliant tracks to follow. first is ray barrettos brilliant eight-minute latin version of the stevie wonder classic *pastime paradise* followed by the uplifting vibe of spirit of love from the king of latin piano eddie palmieri. next up is the wonderful brazilian fusion of paulinho da costas >love til the end of time< which became a classic on early eighties jazz-funk scene and then rounding off this great comp we get yambus latin disco crossover cover of the classic >sunny< produced by the legendary milton hamilton. top quality - dont sleep!

at the start of the 70s, france had no petrol, but it had ideas and artists that managed to tip them into the 21st century 30 years in advance. cosmic machine compiles 20 rare tracks put together with passion and erudition by uncle o (who previously did the shaolin soul compilations) and throws together a collection of stars, a few free-spirits, and also shooting stars.

dood, the second single from claude vonstrokes forthcoming album, urban animal. dood is inherently dirtybird and the one youve been waiting for if you were expecting something nasty from the project. the heart-squeezing booty-bass-line smacks instantly, while the rumbling drawl of the stoned vocal perfectly encapsulates vonstrokes witty spirit. the track is an homage to the time claude spent in los angeles during the production of the album and really captures the fun, dark edge of that sprawaling so-cal metropolis.
