counterweight welcomes to the label the rising berlin artist opål with this excellent 4-track full of techno ep... the title track, luminescence, is a rough and hard hitting 4/4 warehouse destroyer. -impala- reduces the tension and shows a more melodic side of the artist but still keeping his characteristic industrial touch. on the b side opål shows what is the definition of -driving- techno with -eclipse-, this is simply amazing. the last track is an absolutely outstanding remix by the italian artist pvs, who explores new atmospheric shapes and goes beyond simple 4/4 structures. pump up the volume, this is real shit!
FUCKIN SOCIETY (HECTOR OAKS, FABRIZIO LAPIANA REMIXES)
12" Vinyl NL29.06.18
first repress for h.omevvork rec, and obviously it could only be fuckin’ society! now with the original track remastered and amazing remixes from hector oaks and fabrizio lapiana, two of the best producers around, two different style, two different techno approaches. it’s time for fuckin’ society again!
pvs is an artist who is known for his solid productions on his own label h.omevvork (just to remind you of his masterpiece of four years fuckin society) and on the prestigious m_rec ltd label of max_m who sadly passed away (r.i.p.), and key vinyl. after years of experience in his private life and professional life that involved travelling around europe, he took a moment of break from the scene. now he’s back and will release this own musical journey where he deeply expresses his personal musical maturity. pvs developed an album where nothing has been produced randomly. the album can definitely be defined as a techno album, as is the general concept of key vinyl - records that can be heard on the dance floor, but that can also be listened to at home. enjoy this album that shows 360 degrees techno by pvs.
-in the beginning this track was a joke during a crazy moment of my life... now it is time to repress and prepare a new version to play. completely different , completely new... dangerous for your state of mind on the dancefloor. my buddy pvs will prepare
the fourth episode of d.a.n.c.e. (detector for advanced neutron capture experiments), the various artists series of attic music, presents only italian artists. on a side unc shows us his vision of techno with an obsessive sound track. distorted drums and dark pads for the second track by assalti industriali (luciano lamanna and cosimo damiano). on b side pvs writes a real journey with a ten minutes track where 4/4 and broken beat meet pads and melody.
rome native marco piovesan is a dj’s producer. his driving style, pristine sound quality and nuanced tones makes his techno of the variety that draws bodies to the dance floor, and keeps them there. 2013 was his breakout year which saw releases land on gynoid audio, m_rec ltd.. that same year piovesan launched his own enterprise, h.omevvork recordings, as a haven for richly emotive techno music imbued in ‘90s spirit. to date it’s three ep’s have been remixed by luminaries such as giorgio gigli, daub and m_rec ltd’s sadly departed chief max_m. piovesan joined the key roster soon after as part of a split ep with another (then) up-and-comer, hector oaks. his two works, “black paranoid 7” and “black paranoid 10”, were clean, steely dj fodder underscored with a dark energy that made both of them potent club weapons. now piovesan returns with four cuts of surging, remorseless marching material design to tear up strobe-lit basements and big room halls alike. for djs who take no prisoners, who enjoy calling on the old techno ghosts too.
pvs is finally ready with the new release on his own label .the ep is composed of three tracks. the original version signed by pvs (h.omevvork label owner / m_rec ltd / key vinyl) is a overwhelming broken-beat techno. he remixes are signed by max_m (m_rec ltd label owner) and the spanish talent kwartz (polegroup).
the label founded in berlin,030 recordings, releases her second vinyl, confirming her dark techno style with fine sounds, especially on the magic of ordered chaos, often giving the music a ritual taste....
techno as it should be!! pvs (already released on his own label h.omevvork and the prestigious mrec ltd) has signed one side of the vinyl with 2 tracks. the other side is signed by the spanish hector oaks, already highly appreciated as a dj and as a producer, wherever he goes.you have to listen to the record, everything else is just talk. lets do it!
pvs is on a roll of lately. with some blasting releases under his belt, he now returns to gynoid audio, where he again delivers a wicked track especially made for their gynoid audio limited series. as the title suggests, its a very hypnotic affair.

in spring of 2006, jackpot began to fester in a stockholm apartment. without fresh air or natural light, the group developed its uniquely mutant strain of italo disco mixed with early 80s body music aided only by the sickly blue rays of late night tv. while the jackhammer rhythms of their music were proliferating in stockholm, jackpot dove into the deepest recesses of the electronic dance music psyche for the most primal of all rhythmic impulses - their own unmistakable sound - the sound of western culture falling apart in a blaze of shudders and hiccups. as late night sci fi reruns colored the room, jackpot also picked and chose amongst the psychotic debris of previous eras - the movies of kenneth anger, the music of suicide, velvet underground and bruce haack, the words of william s burroughs. and then they added the junkiest element of all - themselves. after two critically acclaimed records, the third chapter of the jackpot saga is about to be told. its called greased lightning (also features remix work from such talents as in flagranti and rory phillips). you hear that beat? thats them knocking on your door.
permanent vacation present you the first 12inch release from their shiny new joint venture with the great swedish label service (who brought you studio, whitest boy alive, jens lekman, kool dj dust). together they bring us the embassy, a duo from gothenburg that makes the most beautiful songs. their sound is warm and light, but underneath the surface theres always some kind of tension, they sound like an ecstasy fuelled, jewel stealing balearic indie band on a permanent vacation at the riviera. or as they say themselves: underclass disco. the original of lurking (with a distances) sounds like a forgotten manchester rave anthem, while wunderkind tensnake made a little jam session with boney m in his parents basement to provide a heavy remix sporting a great sax and a killer panpipe!
“the future is there…looking back at us. trying to make sense of the fiction we will have become” - william gibson
future déjà vu is a berlin based techno label. behind such paradoxical definition of time lies an elementary objective: the promotion of a functional sound, able to be immediately usable on a techno-floor. the immediacy of the sound becomes in turn paradox itself and its planes turns into power.
introducing the second release from southern lights. dedicated to releasing high-end hypnotic tracks from close friends and family from australia and around the globe. the sink ep is by melbourne artist ground loop, featuring low slung magnetic grooves on the a-side in the form of the title track “sink” and “don’t slip”. on the b-side, “sink” and “don’t slip” both receive hedonic workouts courtesy of remixes from pvs and fabrizio lapiana. for lovers of fine art and fine techno. limited to 300 copies, 180 gram vinyl.
this is easily one of the best in the series so far with the a-side featuring original tracks by advanced human, and mattias fridell, while the flip-side has an original from rraph, and a killer kwartz remix.
what can we say? vocals by duane harden, backing vocals by darryl d bonneau and the production skills of marquito. all of those things combined in 1 song... see for yourself! for the deeper and bumpin touch of the track just get on the panevino mixes.
