Kicking things off in style is the truly awesome >Meu Amigo Blanco< from Brazilian songstress Marcia Maria. Originally released as an impossible-to-find LP track from 1978, this track on its own is worth the price of the 12inch but theres four equally brilliant tracks to follow. First is Ray Barrettos brilliant eight-minute Latin version of the Stevie Wonder classic *Pastime Paradise* followed by the uplifting vibe of Spirit Of Love from the king of Latin piano Eddie Palmieri. Next up is the wonderful Brazilian fusion of Paulinho Da Costas >Love Til The End Of Time< which became a classic on early eighties Jazz-Funk scene and then rounding off this great comp we get Yambus Latin disco crossover cover of the classic >Sunny< produced by the legendary Milton Hamilton.
