making his debut in january is cuban producer and dj, hioll who has run his own successful imprint abstraction since 2017, the first electronic music label to come from cuba. gaining recognition with support from big names across the industry, and releases from artists including from x-alex, gøwther, inglawt, bas mooy and temudo. the label also provides home for his own powerful, hypnotic and linear techno productions with hints of new school rave.

christian gerlachís lanthan.audio features jeff derringer in its seventh installment, as well as two remixes from seasoned veterans shifted and giorgio gigli. the concept behind the label is the combination of music with architecture and photography, the consolidation of which creates a highly robust and powerful statement about music and art. this vision was born out of the desire to deliver a diverse product featuring innovative remixes from technoís most respected producers. jeff derringerís ëhuman moments in wwiiií is irresistibly fervent. both ëdepartureí and the epís title track are driving, acid-imbued, and deeply nostalgic of 90s electronic sensibilities. while shiftedís remix provides more hypnotic twists to an otherwise straightforward track, giorgio gigli lends the ep momentum and vigor, bringing the release to a robust and energetic close. human moments in wwiii adds dimension to an already dynamic and techno-forward discography, and derringer, shifted, and gigli are three amongst many compelling artists that the label has released since its inception last year.

2021 repress! the third time is the charme...that’s right. thus, the joy about the third album by marek hemmann is huge. likewise, the third album is perceived as an important brand which ought to show the actual extent of a musician’s potential. either hold one’s ground or dare something new? marek hemmann is not deterred by such expectations. he was merely in the mood for new tracks. the eight newcomers on “moments” sound accordingly - easygoing, detached and characterised by the same profoundly and harmonically balanced musicality for which marek hemmann is world-renowned. anyhow, a “just continue as before” mentality is not an option for the berliner by choice - from the beginning, his music effort- lessly blurred the established genre lines. in this vein, his new work is influenced by a great candour. as already accomplished with his highly esteemed albums “in between”and “bittersweet”, in “moments” marek hem- man takes the listeners - and certainly the dancers - on a journey through different spheres of contemporary electronic music.

in the beginning of 1991 marius kuilenberg and maarten van der vleuten teamed up together and recorded two eeps for djax, *magic moments* and *...gives you central house*. marius being a dj with a great feeling for production and with a large collection of samples and maarten being a musician/technician with an own studio, turned out to be a good combination. after the two releases mentioned above, marius and maarten split up. marius focused on dj-ing only and maarten continued working as major malfunction on his own.
