2014 has been a slow year for sequencias in terms of releases. most of our energy has been spent towards the development of different projects, like our new webstore, that has become an outlet for us to share some of the records that influence the way we do things. so, with the wax offering slowing to a mere trickle, who better to entrust with our sole release for the rest of the calendar year? dcantu, of course. cantus electro-heavy sound is fleshed out here and while still lean enough for dance floors, it makes bolder moves into atmospheric and melodic territory.

scotland-born parisian paradise 100 (a.k.a. dj africa, a.k.a. graham peel) has been percolating stripped-back, bouncy-castle house constructs onto the web for a few years but never locked them in wax until now. high time. following his minimalist dictum *more than three tracks on a song is just indulgence*, his debut eps four cuts share a sleek, spare design, jigsawing slinky bass, classic keys, lean drum programming and flashes of synth mirage into fluid, aerodynamic patterns. touches of melodic acid and crossover new wave color the mood an exotic, hedonistic hue (further evinced by titles like the loin king and french kissing in the house of love). his own vision of the project is appropriately fantastical: *the image in my mind is of tropical forests at night, torchlight, distant sounds of tribal ritual dance and ghosts.* regal music for pleasure domes.

after one year of high energy industrial and punk-leaning music, kess kill presents something slightly more contemplative: the vinyl debut of the swedish act grand mal x. the solna based duo started in 2010 and was first known from the cassette scene, which was also where we stumbled across their work. drawing from a long and wide palette of influences � from osho dynamic meditation and eu highways, to artists like suicide, coil and rune lindblad � their music breathes an ethereal yet catchy air, a difficult line to tread. the fact that one of the members is active at the legendary experimental ems studios in stockholm might be the reason for the unusual amount of depth and maturity, steering the music sternly away from the plainly accessible. opener �late night call� is a brooding and growling number perfect for setting the mood in any room or occasion needing an infusion of sweaty sexual energy. �speed of light�, the record�s most up-tempo song, leans towards both synth pop and electro-punk. on the flip �the trip� does the exact opposite of the opener, winding things down both emotionally and energy wise, replacing sex appeal with lithium-lined angst, not unlike alan wilder at his deepest. ending the ep is �rabbit�, an unadulterated trip down a similarly named hole for those who feel like falling. summed up it�s the most abstract but surprisingly catchy kess kill release to date, an essential beacon in grasping the label�s concept.

10 years ago the29nov films was started in a small village in southern germany. thousands of videos and millions of views later sebastian kökow and kevin paschold have become one of the most sought after video producers in electronic music - mostly for industrial-leaning techno, but also for all other kinds of electronic music. to celebrate their 10th anniversary the29nov has finally gathered a few of their favourite artists and they all have contributed to a compilation, which will be released on 2 double 12-es, one out in november 2016, the other one to follow soon.

prolific dutch artist conforce is back on his most regular label, delsin, with a fresh new four track ep. it is the second part to his north to south series that started on the label earlier in the year. typically deep offerings that marry driving drums with wide open spaces full of smooth and serene atmospherics. where bubbling underwater baselines and coarse claps making the more techno leaning grooves. overall it s another majestic and elegant ep from one of the finest in the game.

the first ep from abdulla rashim on his northern electronics in almost three years is leaning towards a new territory for him. taking his explorative rhythms into a more old school tradition bears a fruitful combination, as of water and the spirit transforms and a high pitched drilling groove takes the tracks in control. signalists flavour!

st. petersburg talent ivan latyshev drops a killer ep on the ever-dependable dessous recordings. ivan has been making waves over the past couple of years with his distinctive brand of deep, groove-heavy house music on labels such as what�s in the box, street king and spaghetti monster - but this to my youth ep sees the young russian step up to another level. the title track shows a deep affiliation for classic house vibes, mixed with some jazzy flourishes and swung grooves. the sense of euphoria is tangible, and the spoken word vocals add a level of house mysticism that will be always welcome on deeper leaning dance-floors. cant go away goes a shade deeper still, bringing layers of delay and reverb to the track that help shape a true slow burner. old ages also highlights ivan�s love of jazz rhythms and sounds, building from a live drum break into a rolling deep house monster - its infectious stuff and suggests ivan latyshev is going to be name to watch in the next months and years.

daniel.t. has been subtly making waves over the past few years as one half of the la duo cosmic kids with releases on labels including throne of blood, let s play house and dfa. a record collector and selector at heart, 2015 has seen him flesh out his solo productions with world-leaning contributions to chit chat s brazilian tinged 12 and american standard s african summer stunner. young adults brings daniel into the fold for his debut tetrachromat mini-lp spanning a sprawling spectrum of sounds, but unified by a signature west-coast sheen. opener mission hill morning stretches its arms in the early am mist, tetrachromat jogs steadily toward the horizon and planetesimal accelerates the mph in the drop top down pch. on the flip, laced takes a smoke break down a dusty dirt road, akoussah sprinkles some sultry spice and the sun & the sky sits back while the sea sips up the last remaining daylight.

after a few highly praised moments this year (a 23 track magnum opus album, entitled >ascensus< on gerds seminal label 4lux, as well as a best selling ep on chicagos high rising record label stripped & chewed, amongst others), kaspar debuts on tomorrow is now, kid! with an incredible four tracker called >spice of light<. his leanings towards the esoteric and spiritual are evident throughout, and contrasted with sexual tips and pure physical pleasure through his rough beat work. the whole set is aimed at the creation of a unique, personal sound that searches the deepest recesses of the authors creativity while still true to the sound track of the dance floor. a four tracker to file under some of the most unique moments in recent releases.
