kris wadsworth is an integral part of detroits new wave, and with its time he wears his citys heart on his sleeve, delving into the electronic music legacy of his home town and showcasing the range of his own talent. the epic 10-minute title track >its time< is secret journey through the citys pulsing underground. it begins with a primal techno kick that rings out from afar, distorted by distance and brimming with a sense of anticipation. a gravelly male voice demands to know what time it is, declaring that >its time for that dirty shit, that dope shit, that detroit shit<, and the beat then kicks in, gritty and purposeful. the track then does a surprising about-face, abandoning the fist-pumping techno for just high hats and vocals, and transforming into a new phase that nods to detroits other great legacy: electro. grimy electro breaks and wiry melodies are spun before evolving again into deep house, with a see-saw duet of pads, and double-time hand claps. kris own >move dat ass remix< of his track >det sound< takes the dubby 2010 original, and reworks it as a ferocious bass and drums workout with dizzy vocal arrangements and blasting sirens.

a side >under< from evol intent featuring vocals from singer/song writer jackie b. this dubstep track is dark, sexy, melodic, and poppy, with a bass riff and drums that encourages you to urgently to hit the dance floor, and shake your ass. the vocals are sexy and consistent. she reminds me of esthero in how she can make underground production sound so polished. yet she can take you places emotionally because she makes intelligent choices her vocal tonality. the production is dark, and sounds like a eerie episode of a twin peaks score. you will be hearing lots more music from her really soon. she is also a great producer as well. container is a recent moniker of nashville, tennessee resident ren schofield who has been actively shifting about the u.s. playing shows and releasing cassettes on his mysterious i just live here imprint for a long while now. known primarily for his god willing project, a disjointed, confusing, maze of crude oscillator, tape, and guitar, ren has established himself as a staple in the east coast underground.

krasimir gyurov (vizar) has dealt with electronic music since 2000. his style is influenced by nature with hypnotic deep pads and mystic drones. in 2004 he made a contact with underground a netlabel scene and several years later he released his first eps for spanish netlabels offaudio and antiritmo. from 2008 he played on the biggest underground techno festival in his country bulgaria - artmospheric festival, where the guests were donato dozzy, brando lupi, dave twomey. ness became interested in electronic music in the late 90s. in 2004 he started djing, taking inspiration from various genres going from trance to pure experimentation. the interest in music led him to attend various courses and audio engineer for some years and the conservatory of his hometown. the need to express his emotions through music led him to experiment and research in recent years that better reflect his sound.since 2009 he founded his own label mono records with his friend bettosun, and releases music in labels such as prologue, sonata and varianz. the experience gained over the years leads to define his dj sets that are characterized by a strong array of techno and house at the same time.
