this record won the 1964 french prize grand prix du disque. this is an absolutely amazing recording, done in one non stop only time in simone signorets own parisian flat. simone signoret, cult french actor, reads la voix humaine by jean cocteau. according to jacques canetti himself, this performance was one of the very best and most intense he ever recorded. even if you dont understand french, you will feel simone signorets incredible poignancy.
