2018 repress of this timeless classic. the desired by many and sought after ‘the time’ by vizar is getting a re-release. the hypnotic and sweeping track originally released in 2011 is still being featured in numerous dj sets to this day thus proving the ‘timelessness’ contrary to its title. besides these it appeared as one of the soundtracks in anatoly ivanov’s 2013 documentary ’kvadrat’ that is about the realities of techno djing exemplified by the life of andrey pushkarev. b-side is reserved for yet another worthy vizar masterpiece, ‘in between’.

fur coat join joseph capriatis redimension label with an ep of melodic, dancefloor power. the duo explore steely techno in five warehouse-ready tracks which unfold over extended run times. the eerie synth line, wall-shaking kick drums and vocal sample of repeat set the tone. mercury retrograd continues with a heavy, eyes-down pulse before cygnus soars into an epic crescendo. messenger of god provide tough dancefloor weapons to complete a slick ep that shows fur coat to be masters of their sound.

the project which was started back in 2009 by the two danish producers, dennis bøg better known as resoe, owner of baum records and its off shoot baum limited picture edition, and kenneth christiansen owner of echocord records. each of their releases move into different realms of techno,and have gained support from the upper echelons of dance music, from the likes of rodhad, levon vincent, and dario zenker.

a crawling filtered synth opens ‘009a’, murky kick drums and syncopated high-hats join it, to create a long winding warehouse melody, these are then exchanged for the hazy sounds of white noise of ‘009b’ packed with cold eerie drones, that are met by charged hums that fizz away and bring the release to a close.

autoreply begins its 10th year with a 12inch from one of the scenes favourite ambassadors, dana ruh. equally happy co-running brouqade and her own cave recordings, dropping lps for underground quality or stepping up to ostgut ton & cocoon, hers is a story of emotive, reduced floor-theory. the -round 2 reel ep delivers three such movements kicking-off with an undeviatingly playable a-side displaying her prowess for swinging, stripped-back house complete with discreet sound design and compulsory bass. the b-side concentrates on the deeper, dubbier aspect of her sound displaying unparalleled levels of warmth and texture. written & produced at polynomstudio, berlin, recorded to tape for your listening pleasure!
