so here it is vol 6, with 6 trax, yes 6 trax, hows that for value for money. track 1 , kicks off the e.p with a monkey infused acid rolla from the he-men ,aptly named rolla, really deep acid rolling track for you head nodders out there , then track 2 comes courtesy of new family member bufo bufo, who already boasts releases on ritual poison and egd, his track is a real four/four breakbeat extravaganza, moves along lovely with breaks and bleeps, very excited about this track and a very please to have him in the tdo family. djpc returns with track 3, his track called danger man, and believe this is dangerous, proper old school sounding warehouse rave with wicked pianos and baselines .good to have him back. then flip over and boom side b, hits ya with dawl track party till the a.m , great advice and a great track from dawl, back to his proper full on rave breaks and bleeps to kick off side b the way only he can. then track 2 we welcome another new member to the tdo family, although he has mastered several e.p s and digi trax for us , this is the first track craig bratley has ever made for us, over the moon to have this man on board - craig has earned a solid reputation from a series of curiously erratic releases, releasing records across the spectrum of electronic music on labels such as futureboogie, suara, throne of blood, bird scarer, tsuba, instruments of rapture, claremont 56, leng, to rack and ruin and is it balearic and as well as his own magic feet imprint. the recent discovery of a box of old dat tapes in a house move has allowed craig to revisit some of his earlier attempts at making music in the 90 s. the re-sampling and editing one of these tracks has provided the basis for craig s contribution to tone dropout volume 6, back from the dat . from the dat really is a hats off tip to the rave generation, thank you craig proper got this right for our label. then finally track 6 , is bonus track , tones breaks part 2, a full on pow in ya face rave banger, a little feature we will be doing now on e.p s a nod to the legendary bones breaks of cours

all us here down on bird scarer farm have been fans of the work of mr. craig bratley for some time, so it is with pleasure unbound that i announce the release of bird scarer 4.manufactured in a town just outside leeds and tested on humans for the first time in a tent just outside skipton. ladies and gentlemen... boys and girls. obsession by craig bratley. a sleazy new-beat erotic monster of a tune channeling mr. delgado and mr. gorl (thats d.a.f. to the un-initiated) in the original version and slo-mod even more with added live bass (andy baxter) and guitar (courtesy of ex sons of slough member mr. duncan gray) via the asphodells mix.

is it balearic hit their late 20s with another superb release - this time craig bratley steps up with analogue dreams. craig has earnt quite a reputation from only a handful of releases, including the weatherall favourite and classic cut >birdshell< on instruments of rapture. on analgue dreams, craig lays down a gently evolving, acid tinged piano slow burner, all mood and melody. first up on the remix we have the ever essential bonar bradberry who amps things up and takes a clonking bass riff down the disco for a real good time. on the flip crimea x pare the musical elements right down and build an epic remix from the raw ingredients, employing live percussion and shimmering synths. finally joes bakery dial down the tempo and incorporate some deft acoustic guitar and gentle moodswings alongside the musical elements of the original.

mr bratley drops 2 slo-house workouts on his foto debut. this sound is big and brash with insistent stabs and filter sweeps over the top of some thumping pitch-down house beats. on the flip things get even heavier with get up, a dark, pulsating beast which ups the jack factor whilst maintaining a slow tempo. to round things off label boss ooft! pulls this sound into solid deep house territory with a smoother mix which still contains some serious bottom-end.

for the first release on fat free, craig bratley (instruments of rapture, foto recordings) delivers an edit of >i wanna be with you<. this is an classic slice of disco/electronic funk and two versions are included here, a straight up edit and a killer dub version. summer is definitely here and this is sure to be heard throughout the festival season. 200 copies only - as before - first come, first served

long time is it balearic artist max essa returns with two warm weather bombs.
first up is mekko sekko an early evening shuffler full of all max’s trademark sounds subtly charming the most horizontal listener onto the dancefloor.
top post sunset shuffler. craig bratley pumps up the bass sounds and drops an lovely vocal accent. we love this remix at iib a real fav. reminiscent of an early doors flying track the b-side is the stand alone track aestival a beautifully evocative journey from chilled out bliss do chuggy dancefloor grooving done as only max can do. great to have him back.

turkish mystery man ali kuru is fast becoming one of leng s go-to artists. since joining the label in early 2016, he s released two superb eps, with a debut album of evocative musical blends – think dub, disco, downtempo grooves, humid exotica, and authentic middle eastern instrumentation – due to drop later this spring.

those familiar with the world of dub disco and modern balearica should know all about layne fox, a san francisco-based producer who has released some killer records over the last decade as part of noted collective 40 thieves. the bay area ensemble has been responsible for some killer records, including gems on rong music and leng, who released their expansive debut album the sky is yours back in 2014. now, fox has decided to go it alone for an outing on magic feet that marks his first solo outing since 2005 s move me under the tuffy alias. its something of a gem, too, effortlessly combining many of his familiar influences with nods towards druggy italo-disco and horizontal pop.

magic feet release another split ep that touches on a variety of weird, wonderful and hugely atmospheric dancefloor moods.

the kachiri remix ep features a varied selection from some of the finest. kicking off with tronik youth who takes the title track and reboots into a harder darker groove, pushing the synths to breaking point. man power ignites a fire on the dancefloor with real bass and spacey chords. ivan smagghe creates an off kilter eclectic groove with a different energy. jamie patton dubs out pink ghost with a twisted and warped groove that takes it to a new cosmos. whilst, kasper bjorke takes us down to the sea with his love vibes and tropical rework of volupia. craig bratley adds his dark synths and toughened grooves for late night dance floors. two mamarrachos lead us on an epic 11 minute journey with their massive pink ghost funk groove

starting off 2014 with an italian/manchester collaboration - the 3rd release on el diablos social club sees dj rocca (ajello, erodiscotheque, crimea x) & chris massey (electric elephant, paper recordings) join forces to bring us a selection of spaced out, chuggy goodness with just a bit of a nod to certain croatian festivals. drug chug kicks things off with a plodding 4/4 infused with cosmicesque swooshes & whooshes along with a bassline to rattle the funktion ones. whilst synths reminiscent of the time & space machine add that much needed touch of psych to proceedings. shone takes the party to late night in the club where spiky 909 percussion meets chunky analog basslines before dropping in with distorted & reverb drenched piano chords that guarantee to leave a lasting impression on both the head & heart! remix duties come in heavy on this release with craig bratley dusting drug chug with his own style of studio fairy dust to knock it up a notch that will surely please those who have followed his sounds on andrew weatheralls bird scarer imprint, robsoul, foto, is it balearic, instruments of rapture and his own magic feet label. lastly edscs very own head honcho neil diablo tackles shone and lays off the epic-ness and brings a straight up basement chugger. this release has grit & oomph balanced with a good helping of sunshine infused warmth that will ensure its place in the boxes of both house heads & balearic boys all over!

steve lees (the project club) above machine label returns after 003s massive *love disguise* from vendetta suite. this fourth release comes courtesy of acclaimed italian duo almunia. their celebrated output through paul mudd murphys claremont56 label, including the recent superb pulsar lp has seen the their blissful & uplifting balearic sound expand and evolve beautifully. one time is a gorgeous slice of the same, and conjurs up gentle sea breezes and long summer days perfectly.

magic feet introduce three new artists on their first label sampler, as well as a remix from label owner craig bratley. the tracks cover various genres, taking their inspiration from house, italo, new beat and disco. first up is paresse, an alias of swedish producer ivan bergren. *the night before you came* is a hypnotic, evolving slice of future disco. craig bratleys remix shows craig indulging in his obsession with the world of analogue synths and sees the track taking in a deeper and darker direction. craig has also had a hand in editing *lost era* by kepier on the flipside, a track with a direct lineage to the belgian new beat sound. to round off the ep, we have soul tension, an alias of tony beardsley, who also produces as dark strands. *suburban life* is a superb take on the slo-mo techno sound.

instruments of r.i.p.ture. after 3 years and 9 releases covering edits, remixes and original productions, instruments of rapture hammers the final nail in its own coffin with the delivery of part 10. the triple vinyl release includes a special selection of unreleased tracks (with vinyl exclusives) and remixes from friends and family of the label. a limited cd will be released in late june with exclusive material from the labels vaults. the final release party will be held in glasgows infamous sub club on bank holiday sunday june 3rd with 6th borough project and ooft alongside the revenge debuting his new live set.

those of a certain vintage may have a soft spot for global underground s after hours series, which promised to soundtrack -the party after the club- by joining the dots between woozy progressive house, deep techno, electronica and, of course, ambient. some eight years after the last installment, the long-running club brand has decided to re-launch the series. apparently, this latest installment took a year to put together, and featured tweaked, edited and gently reworked tunes layered up for a more enjoyable listening experience. musically, it sticks to similar territory to previous installments, updating the sound a little via tracks and remixes from ewan pearson, lawrence, scuba, matrixxman, michael mayer and joris voorn.
