*isigude (pronounced - e-see-goo-de... meaning bird of paradise) is a newly founded record label based in athens, greece. for our debut release we have dug deep into the archives of greek jazz fusion to unearth and reissue some obscurities from the catalogue of esteemed composer michalis rakintzis. rakintzis should need no introduction to greek ears, widely recognised as a celebrated composer and lyricist since the 1980s with his career taking in more than 20 personal albums, numerous singles and several high profile collaborations. his composition “arrest”, lifted from 1988 s ost to the film -lifelong- was selected and included on the hugely popular greek music compilation -into the light- in 2012. for isigude s first 12- vinyl release we draw our focus to the 1987 track “i don’t believe” featuring vocalist eleni dimou. -i don t believe- combines pop, rock and eastern melodies and feelings and sold more than 100.000 on it s original release. featured here in remixed form by up and coming greek producer zaq (a.k.a img_02) the original composition is reimagined and the result is a low tempo dreamy, balearic disco burner with dimou s lyrics expressing her disbelief in love, beautiful moments, oaths and sacrifices, with her requesting to be set free. a truly beautiful and tasteful reimagining of a lost rarity, the perfect way to launch the label.

yet again, labelowner gaze ill joins forces with the danish dubstep ambassador rdg, this time for a 4 track collaborative ep. on the aside the artists minds melt together in two pieces of dubstepscience. as the title suggests, rdg and gaze ill show what dubstep is made of with “keepin’ it real” that’s characterized by a pressuring hardness, and uplifting energy. “the zone” follows with its progressive universe that evolves in just the right way with perfect timing. the bside shows off the two artists individual skills with immense, paranoid vibrations on rdg’s “shapeshift”, and thrillingly deep basslines on gaze ill’s “combo”. the ep is a refreshing showcase of the genre’s finest offerings original sound with a wellbalanced diversity. rdg and gaze ill keep it real for this first vinyl release on cue line records.

echonomist is back on rotary cocktail rec. and presents a tribute to the deep and hypnotic vibes of early detroit techno but in his own way of modern and synth-driven sound design.

we are proud to present souki for our third pfand release. third time is always a charm and this time, we bring our longtime close friend and collaborator souki with her stellar release hot jupiter. the outofthisworld title track, cowritten by the hubrist, features an eerie extraterrestial backdrop captured from the deep space array by nasa. also on this release is an upbeat remix by yapacc + hali under the cabin. the b side is packed with two stunning minimal tracks entitled chicxulup and korona, both contending title tracks on their own. and rounding out the release is the beautiful, atmosphereic track entitled etna which serves as a fitting way to close out this gorgeous ep.

the turbo debut from gilmer galibard is a collection of four dark, visceral techno floor-destroyers from a young canary islands-based producer about whom we know relatively little. it also marks the labels first release to feature a swear in the title, offering a foreboding glimpse of the paranoid machine-driven warehouse terror contained within. by now you will have heard the demo in its entirety and are still dancing whether you want to or not. for my purposes, you will use the search engine optimization terms dark, visceral, techno, floor-destroyers and paranoid machine-driven warehouse terror to ensure that it finds its way to the 83 people who need to hear the release through this specific channel. you may tell people i am 26 years old and from the canary islands both facts are true and sound comforting enough but as you now know this does not matter. print this in its entirety and leave the release title unchanged. i would say ive said too much but that is impossible because as youve come to understand all of this has already happened.

remembering the old days is not always the wrong choice. david jach focused on his roots and with back to house and he reflects where his own sound is coming from. oldschool vibes meet a new way of club aesthetics. a homage to friends of classic but modern house productions with punch. his friends okain and agent are with him on his journey and provide their interpretation of oldschool house music. both give the original an individual twist and the three productions together build a harmonic picture back to house .

ixvlf is back at it again following the language of mini-album released earlier this year as part of our ongoing tape series. pushing it further from where we last left off, connor clasen’s vinyl debut reflects our ever growing desire to re-interpret club music in its most primitive and cartilaginous nature. while cleverly obscuring any reference to a specific period of time, involuntary movement shows a sense of the american-based producer stretching disorienting imagery over the existing landscape of proto-industrial — matching the visual interpretation of ailsa ogden undertaking the artwork by way of a new collaboration to be expanded over a handful of releases — where unpolished synthesizers and rhythm machines collide and bawl in a controlled crash. it is an exercise of existing in various states of detachment, a fixation on mechanical repetition and unpredictable behaviors through the haze of helium laughter. definitely one for the animals.

gazel is one of those tunes that went viral from the very first minute. djs like baris k, ata or acid arab are still playin this tune since it was made in 2013. mehmet aslan and dario rohrbach finally managed to create with gazel this kind of tune that blows away every dance floor. the impact was not only on the dance floor. several threads on social media appeared with videos, desperately looking for the track id. but there were also the ones, that had to rip it of a set of baris k, so they can play it. the b-side goes definetly deeper when alma negra is able to make a tune you want to open your set. on this gem they combine northafrican folklore sounds with classic deephouse drumpatterns and trippy synths. fleeting wax has managed to put together some of the most promising artists of the hour, having dario rohrbach on board who is part of the alma negra collective and will hit this year with promising releases for example on yoruba. this release is going to find his way in many dj-bags and wont leave it so fast

future times is back at you with more hot wax!! dc s own ov, who came correct with the opening cut on our vibe 3 compilation, shares this 12- with diego (also known as dude energy, suzanne kraft) and together they lift off into the atmosphere with two dope cuts. big tip! . ov s -perc song (chords)- sets a perfect, humid scene full of string licks and syncopated chunk, before it rinses the -(chords)- and cools way out, setting the scene for -crack- on the flip. diego s track climbs all the way up, cutting in slippery drums and arpeggios underneath the floating, soaked synths, before the end of the tune gives way to pure pad bliss.

flumos mainstay ekkohaus returns, this time bringing a full-bodied package for the dance floor. suitably, far fetcher acts as a warm welcome, inviting the listener inside its richly deep analogue soundscapes, reminiscent of deeper sides of classic house rhythms that have come from the usa. its pace provides a perfect way to start off the ep while the synth-vocal creates a soulful depth. things get darker and more aggressive with musketeers, a dub-heavy rhythm that drives one to involuntary movement due to its relentless repetition and & subtle swing. the amalgamation of the synth along with the pulsating sub invigorates one to move and bounce along with these elements. fantasy provides the penultimate party vibe. it s funkiness transcends & the melodies drive the vocals to the extent of ecstasy. rounding off the ep 64 bars features vocals by arthur russel, the synth inflicted break progressions capture the vibe of ekkohaus live sets with its haunting chants hinting towards techno and while its warmth never escapes.

niro perrone better known as simply niro, or easy to remember, alongside sibling and production partner elia perrone, has come a long way over the past few years stacking up releases on the likes of m50’s revered kimochi sound, sound of vast, memento and the dub, as well as releasing his debut lp on his unclear imprint. here though we see niro introduce a new chapter with his brand new label pads.
‘hands of shadow’ opens the release and sets the tone of the label from the very beginning with an understated melodic feel fused with raw percussion and a subtly evolving yet intricate structure. ‘inner space’ follows and wanders into dub territories with spiralling echoes, low-slung drums and ethereal atmospherics. title cut ‘pieces of you’ opens the flip side and lays focus on an infectious unfaltering groove via vacillating pad swells, sporadic jazz licks and a weighty 4/4 drive before closing cut ‘the spectrometer dance’ rounds it all off with some ambient vibes.

finally vol.3 is ready - we continue with bringing house heros to the label - this time we asked nate tinsley aka the nathaniel x project if he wants to join the label, and we were lucky that he say yes. this is real house music, funky deep beats, spoken words, and heavy melodies. high quality all the way. one the remix we brings desos back to the label, his luvless remix had big success, and this remix already has had very good feedback - we can t wait for this vinyl to drop.

having already issued a few cassettes via his own harsh riddims label as well as cgi’s sister label dka records, ryan parks brings his fit of body project to cgi for his debut 12inch, release. here we are treated with two previously unreleased original cuts as well as galcher lustwerk and twins reworks of a pair of older tunes. fit of body’s sound is unique among the current crop of bedroom dance producers in that it can ignite a dancefloor while still feeling deeply personal. this mood is enhanced by the way parks colours his tracks with his own voice. his approach to adding live instrumentation to the arrangements lends a handmade delicacy otherwise lacking in so much hyper-quantized machine music. these are tracks that will feel at home in the dj booth, your living room and your bedroom.

the label say sounding like a comedown-classic which is way too funky to be an ambient record and has the power to cut as deep as any decent delta blues album.. we like it here. tip!

opening cut acido setting the tone perfectly via murky broken rhythms and glitched out bass hits before the latter stages introduce a squelching 303 lead which tails out the rest of the record.what follows and takes a more robust approach rhythmically with a weighty kick drum, shuffling congas and choppy hats lying at the forefront while spiralling bass hits and vocal chops meander around them. opening the flip is nasty(or nylo if there is no way to fix name) which draws on an earth shattering sub bass lead, sparse percussive shots and a subtly bubbling synth stabs.lastly the package is closed with nylo(or koi if there is no way to fix name), an intricately programmed energy fuelled workout featuring reversed bass swells, jazz tinged rhodes melodies and crunchy distorted drums.
