following the great reception of hiverned 01 here is the second installment of hiverns edit series. in the a side, tbs >invitation to love<, a highly anticipated track that is finally released after becoming a fixture in john talabots sets. based on twin peaks osts >laura palmers theme<, the track rephrases angelo badalamentis clas- sic from an acid house perspective. adding analog rhythms and a crispy bassli- ne to the ethereal chords of the original composition, this refix manages to keep the dream-like atmospheres of the song while transforming it into dancefloor- ready groove. the idea is simple, the results are magic. on the flip, marc pinol repeats appearance on the series revamping some lost australian minimal-wave track. in the vein of his previous >wheels< edit, the track conjures gloomy atmospheres and sparse rhythms with gritty synth melodies. on the top of it, the barcelonian producer adds dialogues from spanish cult art-house film >arrebato< (hence the title) multiplying the obscure ambience of the tune. once again, the release comes in a limited edition 10 inch wrapped in a handmade silk-screened sleeve. no digital and no-repress.

egyptian hip hop first emerged back in 2009 as four sparky 17-year-olds from manchester with an uncanny knack for lush, scruffy melodies and raucous tales of guitar lessons from johnny marr. their debut ep >some reptiles grew wings<, produced by warps hudson mohawke, featured a clutch of delectably angular pop songs and affirmed their singular sense of rhythm.
perc trax is proud to unveil the debut ep by pinion, known in a former life as us-based producer bobby dowell. pinion is the sound of a man with his own vision of music, sitting somewhere between classic industrial and contemporary techno without slavishly bowing down to either discipline. where the likes of ancient methods and perc are the sound of metal on metal, pinion is more like wood on leather, a ceremonial throb that switches in an instant from tightly locked grooves to more freeform rhythmic patterns.

a fistful of wax is an extension for some very special projects of our beloved deep house skylax records sub label wax classic. for this first release, we give you the opportunity to grab 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best deep house producers at the moment. a1 is done by the great girogio luceri whose been releasing some very hot tunes through jamal moss mathematics & runaways on the prowl labels. a2 is done by jamie trench one of the new hot producer made in london, his track sound very very garage & we loved it instantly. while on the b side we have again 3 bomb tracks featuring first on b1 jackmaster k who delivers clearly an anthem, it reminds us some of best house music made in uk (circa 91/92), this track could have been played by sasha & digweed or carl cox at shoom ! b2 is marcoradi , an italian producer who teamed up with the great nicholas on one his 4lux release. he also produced many remixes (erykah badu ect ...) & some 12 inches over the years. b3 is rio padice from rawax & housewax fame those tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound (check the detroitian vibes of get back). they never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. its eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.

as emotional rescue continues to deliver the goods for those who love discofied rarities from the 70s and 80s, here comes this ep from kevin harrison, originally released in 1982 and worth a pretty penny second hand. it is a wistful, proggy kind of groove that finds harrisons voice lost in an alien phaser while the live band feel gels with synthesiser parts for a fluid kind of cosmic goodness. there is simply no arguing with the plush melodic wonderment of >views of the rhine<, while >fly< is the jam the party djs will reach for, not least for its slinky bassline. amazing.

the same people behind emotional rescue launch as fine sister imprint in the shape of emotional rescue, with a near perfect insight into how the label will operate thanks to nzambi - a quite stunning full length album from jason letkiewicz under his alan hurst moniker. if you consider yourself an avid purchaser of vinyl, you will no doubt have added some letkiewicz heat to your collection in recent times, with excellent releases as steve summers and innergaze in recent times. the alan hurst project sees the brooklyn producer in more laid back form, indulging his passion for library sounds and experimental electronics with just as much aplomb. allegedly commissioned to soundtrack a film on modern haitian voodoo, nzambi is a woozily intoxicating thirteen track set that opens your senses to a true darkness in this producers palette of sounds that has not really been explored before.
number 10 in the rio edits series is here! this 12 inch steps away from the brazillian flavour of the last few rio edits, taking up an american vibe. killer release as is expected from the rio label!

animal knights - creating something new by coupling the established! pique on the a-side is pure dancefloor-kerosine and an archetypal peaktime-hit. the elegiac kalmuck on the flip takes it from a rather gentle approach and is impressed by a catchy melody followed by guitar and singing passages. both tracks share the same amount of animal trainer and round table knights styles without any doubt

tune in: dana ruh brings brouqade back from summer holidays. an ep completely rounded, mesmerizing from first to last. sula wakes with vivid snares. precisely produced, finely tuned arrangements and driven by a straight beat and pulsating bass line, the track develops with its deep clubsound to a veritable groover.cautious in the beginning nebouxii gains its selfesteem, builds up subtly, pushes and drives forward and spreads its hypnotic appeal. the mood is constantly high and takes its time to fully develop. sulidae brings you back from the previous hypnosis and gives you insight in a different world: charming vocals glide on a steady synth line, when all around a poetic magic is revealed and some ingenious elements are pulled out of the hat.
