here is ditongos new boogie. for your family business! ditongo is the batongos alias for disco editing, less obscure, more groovy. not much is to be known about batongo, previously an active euro dance producer, released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he made a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. now he is still in perù, not willing to move back to europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with the condition of not revealing his real identity. we will unveil a series of eps ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco.

bastard jazz is proud to present the debut ep from brussels based production duo eric p & luigi aka monkeyrobot. coming to light through their work as 74 miles away (melting pot music) and tall black guy, who selected their standout >basement infusion< track to be on his tempo dreams compilation album (released in june on bastard jazz), and alliance between the label and m.r. seemed natural.

twelve years ago tresor records released terrence dixons debut album >from the far future< - a personal homage to the art and ancestry of techno, culminating in a discursive and dream-like course through the genres many tomes, complete with subtle nods to key protagonists such as kraftwerk, derrick may and juan atkins. a luminescent and ethereal catalogue of tracks awash with shimmery synths and taught rhythmical programming - that still holds true today, >from the far future< made for a stunning first full length that cemented dixons already proven credentials from his population one work and utensil records foundations. after a string of stylistically rich releases - including another album, >train of thought<, this time for cologne-based label yore records - the detroit native returns to tresor records with >from the far future pt.2< - an ambitious, scopey and deeply personal sequel.

dope me / does caroline know? is a slightly clubbier affair-less sun ra and more soul capsule-but still possesses the air of strangeness that makes the duo so unique. each artist leaves his mark within the first few measure of dope me. the steady high-hats and flawless kick drum are straight out of dazes playbook, while the nervous piano and 3 chairs-style claps are unmistakably bruno. as for the slurred vocal pleading >dope me..dope me<, thats anyones guess. the track carries on for a solid nine minutes as half-melodies and quasi-hooks slide in and out of the mix. the b-side, does caroline know?, takes us deeper and darker. the drums are plodding, the mood is ominous, and a series of dreamlike flourishes add to an already eerie groove. like the a-side, its a surrealistic style of house that only these two could deliver. the artwork, as usual, is done by daze maxim.

blank code presents bcr002 - beta ep from the plant worker (also known as a. trebor), released on 12 inch vinyl with custom made silk screened jackets and available with an additional track found exclusively on the digital release. beta 01 represents merciless techno, with a pounding kick and unexpected drops that leave the listener gasping for breath. the luis flores remix introduces a subtle swing, making it more danceable than the original while still retaining the ominous tones imbued in the track by the plant worker. beta 02 stumbles in with anxious acid synths and urgent hi-hat patterns, slowly building to a massive climax. mysterious chimes wandering around the sonic space give a haunting feel to beta 03, the eery conclusion of the vinyl version of the release. the eps digital exclusive, beta 04, returns the listener to the original themes of beta 01 – open, reverberating bass accented by the sounds of echoing metallic decay.

there s only one thing that matches a new my love is underground 12 - a remastered pressing of one of the label s certified hits! paris underground trax volume 1 was one of the records that catapulted the french label into the spotlight - at the time produced anonymously, it later emerged that mr brawther was the man behind the four retro house cuts. it s a wonderful homage to the deeper strains of 90s new jersey, nyc underground and sexy thing remix still smack of kerri chandler at his most bumping, with fat pads, sultry vocals and gritty basslines. the b-side features uptempo gem hardcore deep house , while gtfo! glides along with warm, embracing chords. if you missed out first time round, don t make the same mistake again.

for our 40th release we are very pleased to welcome on deeply rooted house argentinas own jonas kopp (ostgut ton, curle, krill music, ear to ground, traut). this 4 tracks ep gives a good example of his diverse and still very defined techno recording skills. a side goes from the very straight forward and somehow mental reforce to the deep and abstract journey of proteus 81, while b side kicks of with the somehow balearic and positive green fingers to end up with the quest of light!

nice price deal !!! here comes a record that shouldnt have been released in the first place. who first started to circulate the cd-r with the blue inscription waiting for kim / we get high is totally unknown. the more known though, is who has been playing these two tracks, the one subtly uplifting, the other cranky dark, over the last few months. its still an unsolved riddle who is responsible for those two very divergent (but obviously coming from a single source productions. the fact that now these two tracks are coming out as a white label doesnt shed any more light on the affair either. but will please the dj and club world nonetheless.

dear you, so why am i starting a label? i guess i am trying to centralize my output. give it all some kind of unity. my friend jon berry (who works at kompakt and is running the label with me) has been bugging me for ages to do it and now seems the time. i ve had a great run thus far with all my buddy s labels, and i dont think i will stop as long as they still want me. but for the time being it made sense somehow that i do my own thing. give it a name - maybe tomorrow - and a face - vinyl.

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. with the second release on local talks reissue sub label, 1nce again we bring back one of our personal underground favourites from the golden age of house music (the early 90s). back in 1994 mateo & matos released an ep on black label records entitled raw elements, which included an amazing cut called >maw basics<. its one of those raw 90s house jams that got the house bump but without the pump, its rough and funky but still deep if you know what we mean? no cheese in sight! together with the original track (now fully re-mastered) we also asked gerd (4lux, ny stomp) to make a remix that would stay true to the original but still bring it to the next level. the result is absolutely amazing and we are pretty confident that this baby will deliver knock out punches every time it blasts through a massive sound system in a proper club.
