nice price deal !!! prinzhorn dance school announce their return with new single – >seed, crop, harvest.< we havent heard a thing from tobin prinz and suzi horn for three years (their debut lp was released on dfa back in 2007) but theyve been far from work-shy. they toured extensively, then came home and built their own bespoke recording studio (the red shed) – and learned how to use it. time consuming endeavors which saw them drop off the music radar. which might just explain the title of the equally charged b-side >off the radar, off the system<. in their own words: >weve been busy. just not busy making records. you have to live too. you can only write so many songs about motorway service stations and airports<. they recorded and mixed both songs themselves in the red shed, with bob weston taking on mastering duties. …prinzhorn dance school are back! and dfa could not be more proud

finally label owner maurice aymard releases his debut ep in his own label. after releasing last year in einmusik label and sasses mood music imprint, moe how his friends call him has decided to show his art through galaktika. the ep has two strong remixes the first one comes from the brazilian s head quarters and old friend from the house called gui boratto. gui is a top five world techno producer, after remixing names like moby, massive attack and robin williams he finds times in his super busy schedule and delivers a massive tune. he changes the hole track, he stamps his sound on the remix and add and incredible rhodes to close up the track, and epic remix that will last for ever. garnica does completely the opposite as gui, he turns put some for jules in a techno tune for pick time hours, with groove and percussions as main course. garnica has find his formula to make great remixes and keep your head up cause will be more to come.

after leaving behind the somalian pirates, geiom is cruising the sunny waters of the indian ocean when he picks up a distress signal on his scanner. he follows the signal until he locates a tiny remote island and a guy called bowly, who said that he was on his way from france to the new world, but got totally lost. judging by the age of the map he was using its easy to see how. bowly spent his time on the island hanging out with the locals who amuse themselves by creating a unique style of music on some amazing handcrafted instruments. geiom helps bowly get on his way again, and leaves him with a more useful map. some months later, bowly beams over his music as a gift from his new found homeland in canada ? the tracks are like some strange mutation of those distant tropical players and the uk-based pirate radio transmissions that bowly has been tuning into ? geiom loves the result and decides to send them straight over to transition in london for mastering and release on berkane sol. this 12 has been getting played by selectors like ? subswara crew nyc (soul motive), brackles (rinsefm), grevious angel (soul jazz), martin kemp (blunted robots), cooly g (hyperdub), shortstuff (ramp), spamchop (wigflex), oneman (rinsefm)?

our search for real club music gems has led us to hamburg, where a young man and his nord modular has been attracting our attention for quite a while now: benjamin brunn.
at least since his workshop005 release, he has modulated his way straight in our hearts. unlike other artists, he knows how to let his synthesizers speak and tells us little stories, while always searching for new romanticfrequency ranges. so >my heart< tells us a story, from the in-ear adapter straight into the heart.

just how much mileage can you get out a single loop? both pablo cahn and cesar merveille seem to know the answer. if only these guys had turned their talents towards automotive engineering, we might have vastly more fuel-efficient cars by now, and an end to global warming. but we can take consolation, at least, in the heat they bring to the dancefloor. cahn and merveille worked together on cadenza 39, here they each take a side in a friendly contest to see who can go deeper.

q: how did quinn and alexis meet?
a: the two were introduced by chris veltri, owner of legendary record shop groove merchant in san francisco. veltri and luke had made a pair of plunderphonic dusted disco 12 inches under the name coppa. georgopoulos was a founder of the group tussle and asked if coppa would do a tussle remix. this led to luke acting as producer on the tussle album telescope mind.
