arctor appeared on our radar a year or so ago and stands out with his high-bpm, melodic techno blend. time and time again he has been surprising us as a producer and dj with amazingly crafted music. so when we decided to do a vinyl only sublabel, we just couldn’t think of anyone else to do the debut release. we hope you will love the three tracks he made and the acid-infused remix by gynoid audio’s advanced human.

hailing from spain, we are pleased to welcome ramiro lopez to take the reigns for our next release. the in-form producer has already released music on the likes of bedrock, intec, suara and diymanic in a relatively short space of time and garnered major support from adam beyer, carl cox and monika kruse. coming out on 15th may, his pretending release comprises of 4 tracks that have been a mainstay of adam beyer s sets during the latter part of 2016 and now full force in to 2017. the release opens with september atmospheric to its very core, the crunching drums and low end rumbles make this one a sure fire weapon of choice. next we jump into loving you with a haunting vocal that compliments the stripped back yet refined approach of this track. come closer featuring juliet fox is a dark, rumbling number that screams building percussion that lends itself to become a peak time choice, whether its a club or festival. the release closes with pretending feat. knowkontrol an 8-minute piece of work that is destined for unadulterated dancefloor destruction, whilst maintaining that melodic element that ramiro lopez is fast making his signature style.

with bjoern torske, skateboard, telephones and last not least the sex tags label all hailing from bergen, the city s not been exactly short on world leading “d.i.s.c.o” , but it s geir hermansen aka velferd that recently cought our ear with his keys. in “the city that drowned” it s unlikely only ever so wet, there s bliss, sun, warmth, heat - all painted bright with skyrocketing masterful synths over very neat and dry bass. great! laid back and somehow dreamy the whole thing catches you by the ear and lingers on but then there s so much dedicated kick and an almost extatic groove in each track - irresistable string hooks made in heaven! “never” and “through the valley” add on to where the title song just left and this give the 3 track ep so much perfectly arranged strength… bergen might well have given birth to another disco standard-bearer.

after one year of hiatus ritual process is back with a brand new opus. côme the other half of the label first appeared in 2011, thriving on the musical radicalism and avantgarde of the electronic and industrial scenes of the 80/90’s. kerri lebon, the owner of discipline is actively involved in the san francisco s musical scene. she has mixed the -issue no five- cd for jealous god and recently produced a remix on los angeles based label stellar remnant. our third ep -years of decline- opens with -between generation-, an epic trippy track followed by the punchy noisy -expel the demon-. the b side will take you to a shadowy world with the original version of -fear- followed by kerri lebon’s astonishing remix. the record will come with an insert and will be limited to 300 copies.

femur s second release goes deeper into totally unsettling, dark and gloomy sounds. this time with one of our most valued fellow artists celldöd. we are proud to press the track -terrorbalans- for the first time on vinyl. it had been previously released on cassette by celldöd himself on his own platform brutal disciplin. he has also included two unreleased tracks, the machine-like -svart sira- and -socker-, dirtier and naughtier. the closure to this second reference is a magnificent remix by swedish duo fishermen, originally released on brutal disciplin, too.

in 2016 grimez brought some of cincinnati’s best musicians in the studio to record raw analog recordings using vintage gear. guitarist brad myers currently has a phenomenal jazz cd out “prime numbers.” organ/keyboard prodigy, j-skillz, is a frequent session musician for hi-tek. tim hensley is the drummer for the cliftones, a reggae band that is touring and receiving well deserved national notoriety. the remaining musicians all have degrees in jazz and perform in many shows throughout cincinnati.

when he s not busy in the studio or touring the world with his running mate hans (junktion) as fouk.. daniel leseman takes time for his own solo projects and we re pleased to be able to release two vintage daniel leseman groovers on a piece of 10inch vinyl for the 7th stop in our kolour ltd 10inch series.

june 2017, amsterdam, nl: it is with the utmost urgency that we report the conclusions of our experiments with controlled doses of 4-ho-met, codenamed st004.
as instructed, we met up with agent 23, who introduced us to the test subject– code name ben penn – who was ushered into the bunker for immediate testing. in order to observe his reactions, penn was injected with a modified dosage of 4-ho-met and locked inside with only and handful of electronic machines for company.
the subject immediately began acting strangely. it quickly became clear that 4-ho-met was increasing his capacity to produce music.
afterwards, penn was able to play us two audio interpretations of his experience. he was visibly shaken.

blend architect is a techno producer out of japan in the lineage of dj nobu or ken ishii. uncloud - his very first release - is composed by 2 movements with 2 variations each. cloud 1.1 sets the initial atmosphere for 1.2 to jump in and offer a more tense body that will play deeply with our intellect and physicality. an apparent minimal universe but full of subtle details. cloud 2.1 opens the b side with a futuristic high voltage cut. finally, cloud 2.2 brings the time back to present tense and the dance continues!

this time starts with label mate dakpa (rooted/sukhumvit) who brings a really rolling house track with great ambiances. a2 comes with in haus wax label boss tijn with a minimal chords house with great senses. b side arrives with our partner rickzor who builded a great old school house track full of groove. the release ends with label boss bolumar who brings another old school house feeling track.

right after we finished putting together our long sold out distant waves compilation back in 2014 we started working on volume ii.

we follow up our debut release by stl with a dancefloor oriented ep by scotsman cain. for those new to cain, a regular on highlife records (a sub-label of huntleys & palmers), you have been missing out. he’s known for fusing his love of traditional music from around the world with infectiously rhythmic drum pattern writing, stand-out melodies and futuristic bass work. and this release is no different. seeing as we are a record label based in the middle east, cain jumped on the opportunity to dig for arabic influenced drums and rhythms to build the ep around. the results are dope! and just in time for the summer season.
