units and measurements is the collaborative project of christopher hreno, mathew jonson and colin de la plante. the project sees these long times friends and veteran producers exploring the limits of hardware based improvisation and deep synthesis and effects programing . documenting a single epic 24 hour session at jonson s mothership studio in berlin, this first release sees the trio exploring some of the headiest ambient and tunneling hypnotic techno to be found in any of their admittedly vast individual back catalogs. this release is without question a portrait of 3 masters of their craft at work, and quite unlike anything else you are likely to hear this year. units and measurements will be available in a double vinyl and digital formats on november 4th via blkrtz, with worldwide distribution via kompakt.

following his last two ep releases on southern fried records, half-austrian/half-russian artist producer motsa (real name valerio dittrich) has announced his forthcoming fourth ep petricolour , due out 4th november on his own label imprint. petricolour ep is written about the decline of our western society, its beauty, wealth and our opportunities having reached a peak and the onset of gradual decay. this is reflected in the accompanying artwork (photograph by andreas peter wall) , the flowers symbolising deterioration but retaining some beauty and hope. throughout the ep, motsa incorporates organic textures and sounds recorded from nature and his surroundings.

a pivotal moment in 20th century politics, history and culture the november 22nd 1963 assassination of president john f. kennedy (in dallas, texas) produced a mountainous range of forgotten, discarded and ghostly vinyl artifacts. country songs, private-press lamentations, mournful poetry and violent political diatribes were rushed onto rough-hewn 45s and marginal lps that vied to be heard above the noise and confusion.

after years of mainly working on coproductions, andre crom started to dive deep into solo studio work in november 2015, and since then has been pretty much obsessed with nothing else.

brilliant tv and movie themes by francois de roubaix!!! on 20 november 1975 francois de roubaix disappeared while diving. before going towards this tragic death, francois had received an order for a television series theme tune commissaire moulin. as usual, the composed melody has been indelibly printed in the collective memory. francois de roubaix always put his fingers where it should be! between electronic tricks and acoustic works, this record brings the themes of this television series together with other musics composed for never released or still unknown projects... all unpublished music, never pressed on vinyl! it soon becomes clear that francois de roubaix feels confortable with this kind of exercises. the result is every time sublime. recommended!!
