coefficient is an english artist with so much experience now, thanks to releases on labrynth and beyond. in this record he shows 2 original tracks and a remix of his strong friend michaelangelo. he shows his skill in creating the techno cleanly, hypnotic and with no compromise.its a journey straight on his way. you can hear a lot of the influences of detroit (see robert hood and jeff mills), but his style is certainly unique. the remix of michaelangelo completes all the release with an even more dark and hypnotic style - but mostly clean. welcome to another trip high quality signed mrec ltd!

aldo cadiz is one of the most well known djs and producers from chile and head of the label disco royal music. in the year 2000 he opened his own club in chile called casa club which was his homebase for him and many many djs from all over the world. his 1st release on lust und freu.de musik called >spanked ep< contains two very energetic and groovy tracks called >fuego< and >spanked<. the track >fuego<, which he produced together with his friend flavio lodetti from italy has a very deep basic structure which is decorated with spacey click drums, toms and snares rounded off by an amazing vocal that gives this track a deep soul. the track >spanked< is a classic cadiz style house track and pure rhythm. a very dry piece straight for the dancefloor.

hailing from boston, massachusetts, one happy island also had a stellar 2010, releasing their own eponymous debut album, an lp filled with a sense of wonder, fun and everything from autumnal, orchestral ruminations to farfisa-fired garage-pop.

after the big succes of hi tech booty, we searched for some really special guys out there to put hand on ahmets bomb. well here it is. a1 comes from maetrik which was a strong desire of ahmet and for sure an excellent choice. he totally brings in his own style while getting a little bit closer to the darkside of the track. a2 is a special collab between rainer, which we know from the last regular stock5 record together with cesare vs disorder and viudez, a mexican guy that seems to have a very nice influence to the production style. the vocal is very present but placed, arranged and transformed geniously. for sure a weapon! b1 is written by our special friend chris sylvester aka inxec. starting with a very housy groove, it falls quickly into a hypnotic mood that is unique in inxec productions. he really knows what the dancefloor requires and for this we are very happy to have him again in our release roster. b2 presents a very new and fresh artist called rico casazza. he interprets the track in a very detroit way, works verz little with the vocal but hits it very perfectly for the sense of the track. after this debut on our imprint you can be sure to hear more of this young guy in the next time!!!

originating from argentina, savor music is a multi-cultural project that aims at bringing out our favorite flavors in sound. the leading forces behind the project are cape and jorge savoretti, both natives of the city of rosario. savor music kicks off underlining the madrilenian connection, so dear to us. it is represented here by our great friend papol of the esperanza crew. developing his sound release after release, he allowed us to pick through his best tracks in order to inaugurate our 12 inch vinyl series. on the a side, first up is >before tea<, a strong driving bomb with a crossover appeal. on a2, ekkohaus delivers a surprising broken beat take of >dub 2010<.

aaah lovely dovely, its that time of year again, the city is covered in snow, chestnuts are a roastin and wee little elves are working away busily pressing the annual home sweet home compilation for your listening and dancing pleasure. yep, its nearly that time of year again, the famed hsh new years rave at the arena/treptow in berlin is just around ye corner. yay! this year we have invited some dj and producer friends from berlin that are playing at the party to contribute to the compilation too! the lovely frenchmen shonky who has played at a few of our shindigs since moving to berlin and is known for his funky techno style has even named his track on a1 >madame moustache<, how very sweet ! snapping at his heels on b2 is our good friend from way up north (maybe he knows santa) and also a berlin resident agaric with his kicking track >after it all< which we are very pleased about. the flipside features some of our homies jens bond and tigerskin with a furious track on b1 followed by nico stojan our little bar 25 flirt with a nice melodic house track on a2 to round things off nicely.

ifm is the project of the unstoppable marcello napoletano and franceso schito and is dedicated to their friend ilario corsano, who passed away. marcello napoletano needs no further introduction - like no one else he made his name with an old school inspired house sound. and this new ifm release is another fine example of this: drummachines, analog synths and the sound aesthetics of the early house days is what the >journey through the sound ep< is all about. true house music

the green door studio opened its (confusingly black) doors to glasgows vibrant music community at the end of 2007. set up by three glasgow-based musicians emily maclaren (michael dracula/the lady vanishes), sam smith (mother & the addicts) and jamie greer (park attack), who, sick of using other peoples clinical digital studios and being told by engineers >you cant do that..<, decided to create a musician-friendly space where >actually you can...<.

the final chapter of vonstrokes limited vinyl album remixes features some seriously low end.
remix #1 is one the favorites of the entire project. claude met brazils dj marky on an artist bus at a uk festival last summer and gave him the track >aundy<. he asked him to do a mix and marky and his friend s.p.y. turned in this amazing drum n bass version. numerous artists have been dropping it even in the middle of house sets! it really captures the drum n bass feeling of the original track taking it back to the genre which inspired it.
remix #2 is from our up and coming bristol based bass prodigy, julio bashmore. he takes on >california< the co-production by cvs and j phlip to another level, adding smooth low end bukem style bass drops and shimmery vox/pad programming to the already insane track. bashmore is one of the few new breed of uk producers who cross over all the way from house to dubstep.

kompakt welcomes an old friend and new face to our fold. berlin based with parisian tastes, sebastien bouchet is groomed to be our most charming producer for the coming year. a regular in the dj scene for years now with releases for freak n chic and hypercolour, we bring him to our family with his first 12 inch single for us - >fallen angel<.

this is first collaboration track of marcus from minilogue and his friend kab.marcus from minilogue have been played a lot of kab stuff at his dj set and sometimes they play by back 2 back. their back 2 back set at labyrinth festival in japan was unforgettable. local report on a side is very hypnotic and groovy tech house with spoken words.this is a kind of peak time stuff.on the other side, shade of grey is very dark, psychedelic but very modern touch.its for the fan of villalobos to mathew jonson.

we would like to dedicate this release to our colleague and good friend aaron-carl who passed away on the 30th of september 2010. during the whole process of creating and thinking this record with ivel, aaron has been supportive from day one. he was a great musician and an amazing human being. his loss has affected all of us. it is very sad to think that this will probably be his last remix to come out, thus making this record and his remix even more meaningful. out of all the words aaron could have chosen out of martin luther kings speech for this remix, he chose the phrase >i just want to do gods will<. i think that god, if theres one, has called him by his side way too early. life will continue, aaron-carl and his music will stay in our hearts

after the critical success of 2008s >rain< (dcp008), berlins aschka is back with a new ep entitled >cinnabar<, featuring 2 ethereal instrumental deephouse cuts. this time aschka enlisted friend & fellow berliner dirk leyers (closer musik, kompakt), who delivers a mesmerizing, broodingly infectious techno remix. on the bside, ruoho ruotsi serves up a deep melodic yet wistful take on >cinnabar<.
