we are very proud to announce that we have signed arovane aka uwe zahn for echocord. uwe is in our world a legend within the electronic music scene. he started to do releases on the old berlin labels din and city-centre-offices. he is known for being one of the best producers ever within the idm & electronica scene. back in the 90’s he listened to the music of basic channel, maurizio and fluxion a lot. this sound is timeless. in the summer of 2015 he started to record a couple of dub sounds and beats beside his collaboration work and the production of his new album. he talked to fluxion and told him about the growing project. he liked the tracks very much and connected it with echocord and the modul ep was born.

otake 007 is the debut from the born new polish project id ensemble. the release is called hollow ep and is authored by filip kaczmarek, self taught musician with technological attention to detail. it is one of few projects which filip runs in parallel although this one is heavily influenced by berlin sound exports. it was created as an expression of the need to break from the pattern, escape from the trademark. there are four tracks on the ep which are inspired by some detroit and berlin sounds, thus still having some special polish touch.

limited repress of the first release! played by raresh for six years nervmusic has been the instigator of actions that have brought a circle of techno culture fans together to form an independent movement in moscow s nightlife. all along the way, the members of nervmusic were searching for a unique sound that eventually necessitated becoming a music label. the starting point of the nervmusic label will be karen ep, a release by easy changes (foundsound, stock5), a techno act from moscow and core members of nervmusic since the beginning. with a remix by cabanne (minibar, hello?repeat, perlon), the legendary french techno producer who crafted a special take on the track gneedos. further development of nervmusic will be a contiuous research in avant garde techno sounds. nervmusic aims to infuse the work of new artists with the contributions of legendary producers.

ark & pit spector continue their inspired journey with an extended ep full of groovy jams and absorbing rhythms for hold youth. the frenchmen have formed a potent alliance with a series of expertly-crafted, high-quality releases dropping over the last couple of years. on this new ep they go deeper into their sound explorations with five original works and a remix from their parisian buddy and hold youth member, le loup. first up, we go into bumping jazzy territory with ‘chauffage central’, a mesmerising cut with swirling pads, soulful vocal clips and a jaunty b-line. straight up after that, hold youth rudeboy le loup gives ‘chauffage central’ a funky little rework, throwing live sounding percussion, nubian vocal clips, trumpet parps and a pumping bassline into the mix which gives a totally different identity. the final track on side a, is a cheeky teaser called ‘petite ondée’. rolling out for just under two minutes the track has a muffled, jazz-esque feel to it with a warm rolling bassline and bright, sparkling piano keys. on the flip we kick off with ‘air conditionelle’, a lush, retro feeling with those oh-so-familiar heavy-hitting eighties snare licks. the bassline takes you to a new york city street and the whole atmosphere is that of an old school nyc neighbourhood, while a spoken-word sample adds a human touch just before the track comes to an end. ‘sub tropical’ goes a little leftfield with an unusual combination of sounds in tandem with a pulsating low end, occasional sax licks and punchy percussion to give it plenty of energy. ‘averse et contre tous’ closes out the ep with a slothish ride into the sunset – ark and pit spector show their experimental side presenting an odd union between blues samples, gruff electronic sounds and piano keys. another triumphant effort from ark and pit spector, in fact, some of the finest work to date. make sure you check it out!

for our 50th release on delusions of grandeur we’re pleased to bring you seven exclusive tracks from a mighty-fine collection of both existing dog artists and veritable newcomers alike. kicking off part one we have rush hour regular nebraska who manages to successfully combine elements of wait for it... trance and broken beat into an altogether more exciting and amazing way than that actually sounds on paper. organic, sampled drums with plenty of grit and dirt lay down a groove whilst spacey synth arps and an almighty break (in a subtle way) make this something of an epic which all of us here have fallen for in a big way.

wtm038 is definitely an outstanding release, something between house and real love to technoid sounds. the long a side comes with a classical intro and turns into a p erfect groovy but still monumental house track. the b starts with the track * call me a cap* and is the third collaboration with dop . great melodic atmospheric sounds with a perfect arrangement between vocals and all the typical addicted masomenos style. the second one on the b side has a featuring with tobi neumann who releases also his third ep with the french duo. * pushpush* is more trippy with a great step sequencer arrangement. all together, great release again from masomenos and this will be a special one which you surely wont forget

with two releases already under his belt on clone, gary gritness aka slikk tim lands on hypercolour with the sugar cane chronicles vol. 1. gritness may be a relatively new name on the block, but his session work for artists like kenny bobien, louie vega and grant nelson has marked up this multi-instrumentalist as a clear talent. hailing from france, gritness had been spotted by underground resitances mad mike banks as one to watch, and on his hypercolour release, displays a deft hand of producing futuristic funk sounds. a spot on blend of raw drum programming and blissfull jazz funk riffs, preachin some tight game sets the eps tone just right with its infectious melodies and cruising groove. darker 1980s soundtrack vibes are explored on stayin strong hand with its thick analogue atmosphere, whilst the laid back and freestyle vibes of working girls demands to be played in the cadillac with the top down! ep closer, fly shit, continues with the tranquil melodies and g-funk factor.

leave your preconceptions behind because ital tek’s brilliant new album ‘hollowed‘ is his best and most rewarding yet. created from new beginnings, it’s a journey through the naïve exploratory methods with which alan myson started to make music over a decade ago. the record is dark and maximalist but at the same time the huge sounds are minutely detailed and elegantly rendered.

traditional folk music from belgium, performed by swedish youngsters, met by art music with inspiration from the dj-culture. during the fall of 2015, guf (gävleborgs ungdoms folkband) released an album called guf4life where one of its songs got the dj & composer slim vic to react. the rain drenched sounds in the original composition worked as the fundament for two different musical journeys, signed by slim vic. part 1, is a varying composition that take the listener in and out of club music, ambient and the original tracks folk music. part 2, is a very dystopic world of sounds clearly on the border of art music.

delsin records welcomes back dennis van gemert aka area forty_one for a second ep on the label. it is a second part to the nocturnal passions series started back in 2013, and come five years after his first ever release, which was on ann aimee in 2011, once again fusing ambient with techno, downtempo and electro. nocturnal passions part 2 is seven minutes of slithering electro funk. full of twinkling keys and spaced out chords, it has rugged bass and bumpy drums all making you want to move. voyage is then a raw, beat driven yet still brilliantly serene affair with angelic chords, consolation is a comforting, mid tempo tumble through the galaxy with soft focus, rippling melodies and gentle churning kicks and orbiting is a suspensory, fully ambient track that sounds like a slow journey up to heaven. this is teary eyed, emotive stuff that comes from another world entirely.
